For full Troodon taming details, get the taming calculator app.
To tame a Troodon, you must let it kill your tamed creatures. The effectiveness of each creature is determined by how much XP is gained by killing them. Since XP gain scales with a creature's level, higher level creatures are more effective. Babies and adults provide the same amount of XP.
To prevent your sacrifices from killing the Troodon, you can tranquilize it and/or weaken it yourself before feeding it to the Troodon, however, you cannot set it to passive. Taming multipliers do not appear to apply to the Troodon. This calculator is in Beta. Be sure to add a bit of extra XP to compensate for any errors. If your results don't match this calculator, report it.
A level 150 Troodon must be fed 2,072 XP worth of sacrifices during the night.
At lvl 72 with flak armor on, a lvl 5 Troodon knocked me out with one attack at night. Last thing I saw was those glowing eyes before passing out. My Guess is that they attack vital organs. Luckily my Doedicarus was up for a game of baseball and launched that little devil out into the stands.
Went to go grab a drop during the night on my dragon. I was wearing full Master Craft Flak Gear and two bites from these little sneaky bitches and I passed out. Luckily my dragon was on nuetral. Unluckily that it's fire breath roasted me too. Lesson learned:
Burn everything on fire before you get off your mount...
