Pretty easy tame honestly. You can use a trap but you don’t have to. If you don’t use one you just got to keep track of where it flew off to. They calm down quite easily and their torpor is quite low. I usually use Ptera to chase it, some tranq arrows to knock it out, and some prime to tame it. If you’ve tamed a maewing, it’s nearly identical in terms of taming, usefulness, and abilities.

Use a desmodus and shoot it while flying after it. They jump away once and then sit there for a few seconds, long enough to get a few shots in.

Honestly just kill the parent. It wastes less resources

These tame exactly like maewings. They have low torpor and are knock outs with mutton or kibble. On Astraeos they spawn at roughly 28,8; 38,30; 25,50; 66,56. I have found them in those areas. They're very fast in the water and have no speed bar, they DO have a nursing effectiveness bar.

If you use it to feed babies, you should put some preserving salt in it which makes food last longer. You can craft it with sulfur and salt

These things rule. They glide like a rock drake and can skid over water at crazy speeds. They have a weight reduction on meat and berries and can passively feed baby creatures like a feeding trough for juveniles. They can also carry up to four babies on their saddle, but not anything massive like a giga baby.
