Helicoprion are organic blueprint machines

Put any loot or non-crafted gear into their inventories and there is a chance to receive blueprints of the items. On failure, there is a small chance to receive a costume skin for your Helicoprion.

Success chance for blueprint conversion can be increased by leveling up Helicoprion’s crafting skill stat. This can also be mutated to a point where you will not have to invest points to always get a blueprint.

This acts as a grinder and you can put items like say a 150 Rex saddle into it and there’s a chance it will come out as a 150 blueprint but there’s a chance it will be destroyed instead but the higher the crafting skill the less of a chance that will happen

When taming each feed summons 6 lvl 1 megalodon

They are only agro on you, not the wild heli

So mount back up on your water tame and swim away before killing them to avoid hitting the heli and ruining taming effectiveness

Just a quick fun fact about this tame. Be prepared to either fight for your life or run for your life when you feed the heli the rat fish treats it loves. I had 6 lv 1 megs spawn in and kill both my icthy and my new heli... I had my icthy on passive and my heli was only lv 2. Not to mention any other creature in the area that wants a nibble out of you and your new tame. Just a friendly heads up

It’s not aggressive. You need Little Ratfish Treats in the last slot of your hotbar. But don’t feel like this is too easy. When you feed it Little Ratfish Treats ammonite clouds will appear so make sure to bring and strong water tame (preferably plesiosaur or megalodon) and kill anything that tries to hurt you. Repeat.
