If you use a squid to grab him and drag him up to the surface it will break his pathfinding and he'll swim in circles or just remain motionless.
If you are a high enough level you can use a crossbow and tranq arrows without a trap with 1 or 2 hits.
To the guy who said you would be trapped in the bosses arena if you ForceTame it: ur wrong bcuz bro spawns on the central map. The world is his arena.
