Tips & Strategies from the iOS & Android apps
Lvl up their stamina to like 700.0 then start leveling up their weight cause the lighter the weight is the faster it flies and if YOUR weight is about half full then the pteranodon will either be encumbered or very close to it
If you find a level 5 one of these and gonna tame make sure you have 2 prime meat if it's normal all settings is normal and prime meat gives it 50% taming thing
HOW TO TAME EASY!
- craft bola
- find pteranodon
- bola pteranodon
- knock out either using fist, sling shot, bat, or some sorta tranq thing (whatever works for you)
- feed meat (recommend using soothing balm before feeding meat)
- have fun with your pteranodon!

Some info-
Let's face it, they're the first flyer you tamed. High levels are the best to tame, as their stamina stat is trash and you can use the highest level of stamina you can get without leveling up. Might (or might not) be replaced by an Argy or Griffin (for fancy people).
Taming-
Super easy tames, a simple bola and tranq. Because of their tiny health pool I'd recommend tranq arrows and not a club or slingshot because, chances are, you'll just kill it before you knock it out. If you find a max level try to use kibble of raw prime, but normal meat works just as well. Even the lowest levels need a few narcotics, so bring some along no matter what level you're going after.
Saddling and stats-
Saddle requires fibre and hide (I think) as well as 75 keratin. Make sure to get the keratin before you can unlock the saddle. I know from personal experience that it sucks to unlock the saddle just to wait 10 in-game days for a turtle to spawn -_-
As for stats, they aren't too good. Low heath and stamina, although I personally only put points in stamina.

Take it from me, Pteradons are very vicious if u take their eggs. I’ve learnt to just not take their eggs but if u r properly armed, Go for it. 😀😅
the best way to tame these guys is with dodo kibble . Most people would say tame them using prime meat but don’t listen to them because with prime meat it take a long to tame so I suggest dodo kibble it’s not that that expensive to make . And it take about 5-8 second to tame if you don’t believe me then go and experiment . Then leave a like
When taming a high level Pteranodon, always starve tame it that way you don't waste/lose your kibble if somebody/something hits/kills it.

The pteranodon is a fast and versatile flying mount useful for traveling and scouting, though not always the ideal choice for battle. Knocking a pteranodon out doesn't take much, but can still be a challenge since it will immediately flee after being attacked. Once knocked out, taming is quite easy in comparison to other creatures, and with its low saddle requirements, this makes it an especially popular creature for newer survivors while still being versatile enough for more experienced survivors. What the pterandon lacks in stamina, weight, and health, it makes up with its speed.
