ARK's base taming speed on PC, PS4, and Xbox is now doubled, meaning 1× is as fast as what 2× was previously. Dododex has been updated to reflect this. Use the "presets" dropdown for common multipliers.

To tame a Roll Rat, wait until it burrows and underground then drop a food item into its burrow.
Everyone seems to be a moron here. Put it in any slot. Use that slot when it burrows while you're looking at the hole. So if it's slot 1 then you press 1 to use it while you're looking in the hole. DONT HAVE MULTIPLE HONEY IN ONE SLOT. It will take all of them and it messes up the taming for some stupid reason, probably because the game is a garbage mess. Nobody here is clear. When people say "just drop it" you'd think to press O in your inventory to drop it, but that's completely wrong and anyone who says that is just a moron. Sorry but I'm a little triggered at how many tips I had to look at before I actually just figured it out myself.
Great auto harvesters for berries. Set to wander in an enclosed area with berry nodes and pump weight since adults stop auto collecting at 50% capacity. Take the berries/seeds you want then drop the rest and let it go gather a fresh set. Fyi also works when left parked on berry nodes. So long as the area they are left in can be un/re rendered easily to allow nodes to respawn
When tamed, the moment it receives damage it can attack back immediately, something like instant counter attack, which is very useful against a pack of dinos. Also its a version of Therizino on russian drugs for abberation, best wood gatherer.
The Roll Rat is a tamable, rideable mole-like creature in Ark: Aberration. Almost like a more powerful Doedicurus, you can rapidly roll while mounted, plowing through enemies in its path with its spiked saddle. This advanced metal saddle can seat 6 survivors and must be repaired after repeatedly rolling.
What does a Roll Rat eat?In ARK: Survival Evolved, the Roll Rat eats Giant Bee Honey.
