Amazing for wyvern eggs, just find an egg, use the maewing’s parachute ability to land near it, grab the egg and glide away. You’ll out-speed the wyverns in no time.

I spent an hour looking for them on ground in the red woods but I didnt realize they mostly spawn in the water so bring your snow owl to find the most and check the lakes.

These guys seem useless at first, but are great tames! They’re found on two maps, in one biome for each map. They’re found on gen 2 and lost island, eden biome on gen 2 and on lost island, the grass platoi areas.

They lay eggs of different qualities, from basic to exceptional! This allows for great and easy taming! They are also the first genderless BUT breed-able creatures, thus being extremely unique! They are mammals, thus they breed with a gestation period after the breeding! They are great tames and can be used for many things! They are the fastest creature you can get on lost island, making it easy to get wyvern eggs if the wyverns are distracted! The taming is pretty simple thankfully! Best way to tame them, is by netting them and then building a trap around them, then nocking them out. They’re saddle is easy to craft and unlocked early, thus this can be a very good early tame! To end this of, I’d like to tell you all that this creature is based of a flying squirrel and a platypus! For now, hope your ride with the colony ship stays steady! And remember! Keep surviving! There’s a reason to why these can glide better than rock drakes. I’m an expert on squirrels myself and know Flying squirrels irl live in North America mainly and can glide 150 feet to even 500. They don’t fly, they glide. They glide by using the flaps of skin stretching between their legs and hands to catch the air. The flaps of skin are called Patagium. They use their tail to be a rudder to steer in the air to escape predators and have large eyes to see at night as they are nocturnal. Also, a prehistoric Flying squirrel named Maio patagium is a spitting image of a flying squirrel we have today. As both sail through the sky’s one in the Jurassic and one in the night of North America. Also, I believe a rock drake would be heavier than a flying squirrel. Anyways I didn’t just now search this up. I know TONS about squirrels and dinosaurs. Hehe not to brag or anything! So to you surprised about maewings flying better, id say it’s because of the reasons above. Ok that’s your daily brain pop! Phew sorry bout my info spree. Maewing should have a Tek saddle that refrigerates baby food

Once tamed transfer it to a map with rock drakescor wyverns and then put them in the maewings pouch an boom u can raise them

They should have a Tek saddle that refrigerate the food you put in it We need to make wild card add this😭

PSA: you have to put food in the Maewing’s inventory (like a trough) to use it in nursing babies. My 2 dead deinochyus’s babies want everyone to know that.
