Chapter 13 ~the implant the monkey and the wagon~

Caesar woke up and looked around in a cold sweat, he didn’t scream as it wasn’t a scary dream necessarily, but he was still shocked for some reason, he looked down at his left arm and the implant looked normal, his first thought was he needed to tear the implant out, or possibly chop his own arm off, but then he remembered when the human scientists back on Pandora tried this on prisoners and the subject always “expired” as they would say, the scientists said “the implant hacks into the human nervous system and messes the subjects mind.” The scientists also learned that the implant doesn’t mess with anyones mind very much but it does give the human, or in this case monkey, a deadman’s switch, so if the implant is removed the humans brain connected to the implant will fry, Caesar thought about how he could sever this connection without activating the failsafe, to no avail. He refused to let himself drift back off to sleep, out of fear that Salizar would invade his mind again. In the morning when everyone woke up (including Bones) They all took part in tearing down the camp and congratulating Bones for not being permanently paralyzed, Caesar then gathered the group and told them of his dream (he isn’t one of those stupid people in movies that hide incredibly important info then let the villain tell everyone and have them hate him..) the group was a mix of fear confusion and curiousness, “how did you even get that implant anyway and why does Salizar have access to it?” Jaxz asked. “I honestly don’t know I’ve had it since we landed here.” Caesar replied. “Cant you just cut it out or something?” Bones asked, And Ceasar explained why that was not a good idea. “Did Salizar tell you when these magma beasts are going to invade the oasis?” The chief asked, “no but we were sitting near the oasis just hanging out so I’d assume a little bit after we get there.” Caesar said. “Then we’ll have to double time it if we are to warn everyone and mount a proper defense.” The Chief continued. Ceasar looked around and then he saw something in the sand a ways off, he walked towards it and when he reached it he noticed what it was, a caravan wagon, (totally something ASA should get for scorched but probably not..) “hmm…” he said, a thought forming he told the gigantopithicus to get their blankets, then he told Jaxz and Bones to get the wagon out of the sand and take the wheels off. Once they did he got to work, it took him about an hour and a half, and it was makeshift but it had to do, a saddle. “Bones? You up for a run?” Caesar said. Bones looked at him with a grin.
