Moon Tales
Season 1 - Episode 8
so Andromeda and Blake continued to follow the Phoenix Clan members until they eventually reached a super duper hot part of the island it was like scorching hot and they were starting to sweat. Blake began to fan himself.
“Is it usually this hot around these parts?” Andromeda asked Blake nodded
“Yeah”
“Do you know where Phoenix Clan’s base is?”
Blake shook his head
“we only know the territory they carve out knowing where their base is would be helpful” Blake replied however he seemed distressed about something else Andromeda sensed this immediately
“Let me guess. You're worried about Moon Clan?” Andromeda guessed, “Who even are they?”
“you dont wanna know” Blake replied while shivering
“I just asked who they are bro just tell me stop stalling,” Andromeda sneered
“OK fine… they’re a dangerous bunch mind you. Their territory is at the center of the valley wedged in between the massive Volcano and Metal Mountain. theyre the most dangerous clan of all time and the most powerful. theyre weirdos too all their names are so strange and hard to remember. Their name isnt even Moon Clan its something weird its called like the Stargazers or something but we call them Moon Clan because its easier to remember.”
“Oh. Strange.”
The two continued to follow the Phoenix Clan members until eventually they reached a large peninsula that had a bunch of docks and cool lakehouses. Andromeda’s eyes sparkled at the sight. It was very pretty, especially for an enemy clan. There was a large townhouse of sorts in the middle. Creatures of all sorts were roaming around like weird lizards with thorns on their backs and even huge mantises.
“So this is the Phoenix Clan,” Andromeda noted with wide eyes. Blake had a green look on his face.
“ew its so gross”
The two stopped their gallis and hid them somewhere in the treelines. Now they needed a plan to get in
“Andromeda since youre new maybe you should sneak in… they dont know youre part of Sand Clan yet”
Andromeda shrugged.
“Good point. Wish me luck then. I’m going in.”
Andromeda began to crouch and she began to approach the large townhouse.

Pandora
• Chapter 4 •
Bria jerked awake with a small gasp, her lilac eyes opening wide. The memory of her nightmare quickly faded, and she looked over her ledge to see Pandora sleeping below her.
She rubbed the back of her wrist over the side of her head, breathing out a small sigh, her thoughts still fuzzy with sleep. She looked down at her wing and talon for a long moment, turning it over slightly.
There was a flash of blood in her vision, and she blinked quickly. Then it was gone.
A noise caught her attention. She turned her head, hearing a muffled scuffling about outside. She quietly hopped down and padded towards the entrance before climbing outside, tipping her head as she listened for the sound.
“Great Vardiland,” A Wyvern was cursing.
She poked her head into the dim light of early dawn to see a Lightning Wyvern with his talon and wing caught tightly in a crevice in the ground. He looked up and spotted Bria, dark blue eyes blinking. “Oh– hey there,” He said, quickly acting normal, his wing twisting uncomfortably as he straightened.
“You need help?” Bria asked, pulling herself out of the entranceway.
“...Yes,” He admitted lamely.
She huffed in amusement and went over to him. She stopped and bent her neck down, using her own wings to push at his. He hissed through his teeth and pulled as she pushed, before his claws scraped free and he pulled it upwards. The Wyvern exhaled quickly in relief, bringing his gaze up to her. “Thankyou!”
“No problem,” Bria said.
“Hey, you’re… Pandora’s sister, right?” He asked.
“Is that really my label nowadays?” Bria asked wryly, her tail twitching.
“Ah. Sorry.” He said. He straightened once more and held out his scraped talon to her. “I’m Rainstone. But you can call me Rain, I guess. I hope you’ll take my formal introduction as a sincere apology for wasting your time and forgetting your name.”
“No need to apologize,” She said with a smile. “I’m Bria.” She lifted one wing and locked her claws momentarily with his in a small shake.
Rainstone’s scales were dark gray with bits of black and blue, like a heavy stormcloud. He looked about her age, nearly an adult with a lean build. He let out a quiet trill as she said her name. “Nice to meet you, Bria.”
Wyerns began emerging from up and around the ravine, taking in the fresh and cold air of the morning. Rainstone fluffed his wings slightly. “I heard you were made a hunter recently. What’s it like? Have you met Toxin yet?”
She let out a small huff of amusement, flicking her tail. “Not yet, no. You know King Toxin enough to know that’s the last thing he’d be interested in doing. Maybe soon, though.”
He nodded, smiling slightly at her words. She continued on, sitting down as she spoke. “And it’s great so far.”
“What’s the inside of the palace look like?” He asked.
“Simple. Mostly just wood and glass and some abstract art. They’ve changed it up a bit.”
“Nice. I used to sneak inside it all the time when I was younger,” he admitted with a small breath of laughter, small fangs gleaming. “It sounds great now. Being a hunter must be cool. I… Your father was a great one, by the way.”
Bria’s smile faded a bit. She felt a small pang in her heart at the mention of her father. “He was.”
“It was sad to hear when he died in that landslide,” He went on gently.
“No need to bring it up.” Bria said with a small shake of her head. She turned and looked up at the mountains, their edges tipped with sunlight as the morning grew. “The sun’s rising quickly. I should get going.”
“Oh. Of course.” Rainstone said.
She lifted her wings to take off, pausing to look at Rainstone. “It was really great talking with you, Rain.”
“It’d be nice to talk again sometime if you like,” He suggested with a small smile.
“Yeah. If I have time.” Bria said, before lifting herself into the air.
She smiled silently as she flew upwards over the ravine, having liked her conversation with the Lightning Wyvern. She’d have to tell Pandora about him when she got back.
She spread her wings wide as she soared over the tip of the palace. The sky was clear above her. She looked down at the corners of the structure, before spotting a far away form of a dragon on one of the balconies, pacing back and forth and speaking to what seemed to be another Wyvern.
“There’s Toxin,'' said a voice from behind. She heard wings flapping and immediately recognized the pigeon-like colors of General Forn as he flew up to her side. “Seems to be talking with the one and only Poison General herself! Hm. How are you doing, Bria?”
“Good,” Bria answered.
“Shall we get on with it?”
She nodded, following after him as he dived towards the group of Wyverns waiting outside the palace. She landed with a thud and lifted her head, ready for today.
The Obelisk
-Chapter 7-
Last one was in ankylo and others before it in tamables alphabeticaly.
Woah.
The first thing Forest could see was only light—bright light, white and gold and stinging at his eyes like a billion glow worms encircling him.
But then his eyes adjusted, and as cool air whistled by him, slowly giant plants taller than himself followed, and small black birds flew passed his snout.
It’s beautiful out here.
Forest stood up on his talons, digging his claws into the grass. Holy mother of Araneos. He thought, glancing down at the dirt on his claws. Dirt! Grass! So much GREEN oh my gosh is that a pteranodon? Are these how big trees can get? And Is that a WORM WHAT THE HECK—“Ack!” He leapt back onto the nearest boulder away from the slimy wiggling thing.
A nearby moschops squinted skeptically at him, then continued digging up roots nearby. She paused, her snout half in a bush, and then huffed and walked away. “Sorry,” he called. “Was I loud? Am I not supposed to be loud?” Goodness i’m being loud now shut up Forest. He sat on the boulder and stared at the ground for a while.
Now what? He curled his tail around talons, thinking. I have to find other creatures… but the basilisk only said their names! Am I supposed to just walk around asking everyone their name? That would be kinda creepy.
A large cracking sound came from above him, and he looked up to see a giant branch bigger than himself dangling on its last fiber. Oh dear—
SNAP!
Something hard and scaly slammed into him, pushing him away from the falling branch. He fell into the grass face first and lay there, groaning form the sudden contact.
“Phew. Now that… that was close.”
Forest turned to see the creature that had saved him.
“Hello,” the Carnotaur said. “I’m still waiting for a thank you, but that’s fine. I’m Spark.”
Hello Moon Tales Girl. I just wanted to say hi and tell you how great you’re doing on your story! It seems really fun so far and I guess I sort of see the plot.
I do think that you could give more credit to the male writers on here. A lot of the best stories on this app were written by guys and they have made and are making incredible one of a kind stories. I don’t know if you’ve ever considered that you might hurt their feelings by saying bad stuff about them and they might take it personally when you say that. Just wanted to say that so that you knew…
😊. Cya later!

thank you journey to the aberration trench/a yuty's quest person, I am a fan of your stories (my favorite character was Eel, because he was weird, R.I.P. random spinosaurus) anyway....
As jerry ran into the house, he grabbed his friend's arm and pulled him in before slamming the door. To Jerry's suprise, His friend looked shocked. "Are you ok?" When he didn't respond, he slapped him "Are you ok?!"
His friend finally managed "R-Rick..... my name is.....Rick."
"ok, what's wrong with you, Rick"
"We're.......screwed" Rick said right as the wooden roof burst open with a crash, and the head of an Allosaurus poked in.
They ran to the other side of the house, but a window burst open, and in came another head. It was chaotic. There were at least four, each burst through a wall or window to try to catch them. They ran up the stairs, but an allo came in and caught Rick by the leg...
The Terrible Demise of Tortuga
Chapter seven.
“Hi mom, hi dad.” Emma said. Arianna smiled. “Hi kids. Did y’all make friends?” She asked them. They nodded. Josephina came running over to Aragorn trying to climb into his lap. “Daddy!” She cried. Aragorn swept her into his arms. “Hello little bit.” He said. Josephina giggled and buried her face into his shoulder. Arianna looked at Aragorn. “Don’t you think tonight is the time?” She asked. Aragorn nodded with a serious look. He stood up and put Josephina down. He walked down the hall into him and Arianna’s room. “Sit down pls.” Arianna motioned to the kids. They sat down beside the fireplace. Aragorn walked down the hall with a small metal chest and the key to it in his other hand. Arianna rose and stood by her husband. “What’s in there?” Jaquin asked. “These, are something that all of you will get. You are to wear these ALWAYS and NEVER take them off. They will protect you.” Aragorn said. He unlocked the chest and pulled out… “A necklace?” Jack asked. Aragorn raised a eyebrow. “No it’s a MEDALLION.” He handed one to each kid. “Like that’ll make much of a difference.” Jay mumbled. “Even you’re father has one.” Arianna said. Aragorn nodded. “For generations our ancestors have worn these.” Aragorn said. They all slid theirs on then surprisingly something strange happened. The medallions glowed each almost a different color. Jay’s medallion glowed green, Jacks glowed ocean blue, Emma’s glowed whiteish- pink. and both Josephina and Jaquin’s glowed gold. Emma gasped. The second hers had glowed the room had flashed for a brief second. Their house was on fire, and her family? Were gone. She blinked and everything went normal. She shook her head dismissing it as a daydream. Then the glow disappeared from the medallions and the family was silent for a few seconds. Jaquin was the one who broke the silence. “Ooh! Shiny!” He cried. They all laughed. Arianna and Emma went to make dinner while Josephina tried to help.
Next chapter coming soon. 😉.

Chapter six.
While the kids hung out Arianna and Aragorn sat in the living room. Arianna was knitting while Aragorn was reading the newspaper while talking to his wife. “…I’m just worried. What if he follows us here?.” Aragorn said. Ariana shook her head. “I don’t think he can… but if he did he wouldn’t…” she trailed off. “Oh, I have no doubt Tom would….that look in his eyes when we last saw him…so full of rage and…” Aragorn trailed off and sighed regretfully. “I just wish…” began Arianna but just then the door opened and the kids entered from the town square.
Sorry it was short.

All the Light we cannot See
Chapter 5
“Amerikaner! Schnappt sie!” One of the German soldiers shouted. “Max.. just leave me here, save yourself.” Andrew said, weakling. “No! You’re my best friend, I’m not gonna abandon you, plus we’re almost there!” Max said through the shooting. “Max! Quickly! Get your friend inside!” Artois shouted outside the door. “URGH!” Max grunted as he lifted Andrew and put him on his shoulder. Then he started to make his way to the door. Max had finally made it inside the castle. “Who are those people?” Artois asked. “The Germans.” Max replied as he followed Artois to the hospital. “All the citizens were evacuated here.” Artois said as he led Max to an empty spot for Andrew.
“Don’t you have an army or something?” Max asked once he set Andrew down. “You know… most of them are in camps hundreds of miles away from here?” Artois replied. “BOOOM! BOOM!” “What’s happening?” Artois asked scarily. “Rückzug! Rückzug!” Max could hear the Germans shouting. “They’re saying retreat, but what’s making them retreat?” Max asked himself as he looked outside a window. He could see dead Krauts on the ground and some of their bodies were… torn apart? Max took out his rifle and made his way to the front entrance. “Wait! Max! What are you doing?” Artois asked as he came rushing behind him. “
I’m checking out what’s happening.” Max replied as he exited the door before Artois could stop him. Max quickly raised the white flag to surrender, “Show yourself!” Somebody shouted. Max got up from the pill and looked at them. “Max?! What are you doing here?!” It was the rest of the division! “Dave! Guys! How did you get here, and why is Jacob riding that dinosaur?” Max asked, approaching them. “Oh It’s a Carnotaurus for the last time, and I was able to tame it.” Jacob replied proudly. “Hello there Private, Look like you’ve been well.” Commander Liu said, coming out of the crowd. Max quickly saluted and replied, “Good, Commander.”
“I heard that Andrew was with you, where is he now?” Liu asked. “He’s inside, follow me.” Max replied as he headed toward the castle door. “Whoa, no way, you live in a castle?” John asked as he looked around the castle. “Well it’s actually my great-great-great and some more great grandson own this, he’s technically the king of this kingdom.” Max replied. “No way!” He heard one of the soldiers say. “Artois! I would like you to meet the rest of my division, and guys, this is Artois, let’s just say grandson.” Max introduced. “There’s 30 of us by the way, including Max and Andrew!” Jacob added. “Guys, Andrews all the way over there in the corner.” Max said.
As everyone explored the castle and went to greet Andrew, Liu poked him. “We gotta talk.” He said as he led Max outside. “What is it?” Max asked. “You were the first one to go down, did you see anything strange?” Liu asked. “Besides being eaten by an unknown water creature but yeah, a chicken.” Max replied, pointing at one of the Dodo’s roaming around. “But Andrew did try to contact HQ but there were no answers.” Max added. Liu just nodded. “Well we can’t stay here any longer, Hayden said there was an entire base of Krauts, probably around 200 to 300.” Liu said.
“How did they end up here anyways?” Max asked. “We don’t know, so we’re pretty sure those Krauts that were just here were scouts, so we better get moving.” Liu said. “You mean now?” Max asked. “No, tomorrow at six, tell everyone that.” Liu said then he headed inside.
This place was no longer a paradise to Max, it was a nightmare.

Today We Rise
Chapter 7 -
A head of us was a large platform being pulled by two equus. On said platform were 3 wolves, 4 raptors, a trike, and Duck. Duck. He is our target. Pathro took Chicken from me so I shall take Duck from him.
"Sand, see the Parasuar?" I asked my wolf
Sand nodded and tensed, preparing for the attack
"Good," I smirked, "we take him when it's dark."
Sand stopped and layed down. I climbed from her back and sat on the ground, leaning on her. My leg aches still. A couple days ago as me and Sand were following Pathro, we were attacked by a couple of raptors. One of them bit my leg, luckily Sand was there and is strong.
I'm still weary about Pathro, what if he didn't have anything to do with Chickens death and had thought I had left with her during the night? No. He killed Chicken and left me, and now I will take his Parasuar. I don't know what to do with the Parasuar after I have collected it but I'm sure I can think of something.
(Night Fall...)
As soon as the sky went completely black, except for tons of stars, we set for Pathro's temporary home. Really it was a platform with a tent bland dinosaurs but it was better then nothing. Creeping up to Duck, I noticed the blood everywhere. Feathers and blood. Chicken's feathers and blood. Rage rushed through me, he will pay. As soon as I reached that Parasuar I pulled a large butchers knife from my pocket. Gripping the handle, I held it eye level and crept in front of the sleeping Duck. I gently pressed the knife to his neck and pressed as hard as I could. Blood rushed from the wound. Duck woke and let out a horrid sound, calling for help. I ran the knife down his throat and then ran back to Sand. Tucking the knife in my pocket, I pulled myself onto her back.
"Quickly Sand! To the woods!" I told her. She launched herself into a sprint and reached the woods in a minute. Behind us raptors screeched, wolves howled and Pathro was screaming. I can't tell if he was yelling in anger or sorrow. All I know is how good and weird the dark joyful feeling felt as it crept through my bones.
I was able to make out a couple words from Pathro's yelling.
"Find.... kill....avenge!" Was all I could make out.
"Come on Sand, to the cliffs!" Sand ran through the woods, hurdling over fallen logs and small streams. It took 2 minutes and we were in the large clearing.
Sand came to a sudden stop, almost flinging me off of her back.
"Sand? What the hell?" I asked, regaining my balance. I turned to see the four raptors emerge from the woods. They stopped and smelled the air, chirping to each other quietly. Sand let out a low threatening growl, smart girl. We are the threat, not them. The largest of the four growled back, preparing to attack.
"Easy Sand. We tick them off, wait for them to reach us and then we dodge out of the way. They'll fly off of the cliff," I told her. Sand growled in response.
"I can't lose you too," I mumbled. She went quiet and nodded, before growling at the raptors again. The Alpha raptor let out a loud call, telling the others to attack.
"Get ready, and... Jump!" I ordered. Everything went perfectly. The raptors fell off of the cliff, all if them except for the Alpha.

Chapter two: Has this happened before?
Twenty seven years later
Deja Vu? Mars stared at the book in his lap. ‘Regular people read books all the time right?’ Mars thought starting too panic. Deja Vu?Then he spotted a man nearby reading. Mars calmed down. He nervously scratched his wrist although the only thing he would feel there would be metal, it still brought him satisfaction. Wait! Had this happened before? Mars felt very tired. ‘After all I have been running all night!’ Mars thought. His heart started beating really fast. ‘Am I hyperventilating?’ Mars thought slowly. Mars started too hear people gasping. He turned too see everyone staring at him. Mars looked at his hand. His left hand looked perfectly fine. But his right hand…. Wasn’t even there. Mars stared at his shoulder as it turned into a cloud a black ash. He felt as if he was underwater. He looked at his left hand one last time too see a red glow coming from under the sleeve. Then everything was dark.

Heroes of Pandora
Chapter 6
They were taken to a cave, it was so large that a rex could fit inside, but the tunnel narrowed slightly as they went through, the desmodus, led them through the tunnels, until they reached a fork in the passage, “vwhich vway vwaz it again?” One said. “I think it was left” another said. “No i think it vwaz right.” The first said. “You fools,” Drain said, he sucked in a breath, and made a loud shriek, then twitched his ear in different directions, “it’s left.” He said “HAH told ya Phax.” The second said. “Shut your blood hole Nickoli!” Phax said. “Both of you idiots shut up!” Said Drain.
They marched down the halls, until they reached a large room, stalagmites, and stalactites, lining the floor, and ceilings, “WE’RE HERE AND WE BROUGHT GUESTS.” Drain yelled, that moment, hundreds of desmodus dropped from the ceiling, some cackling, and chuckling, then a large desmodus dropped down, kicking dust all around, with the force of his landing, “vwelcome back Drain,” he said, he looked at the group, “hmm zmall prey, but..,” he sniffed the air, “such exotic blood..,” he looked at Drain “good vwork.” “Thank you Count.” Drain said. “Vwelcome honored guezts, to our home vwe hope you enjoy your stay,” he gave a crooked grin “you’ll stay for dinner, yez?” “Actually can we go, I’m not hungy.” Ping said. “SILENCE FOOL HOW DARE YOU SPEAK TO COUNT PHASMA!” Drain screeched. “Now, now, drain, it’s alright our guezts are allowed, to speak their mind,” the count said. “Sorry count Phasma.” Drain said. “But I suggezt you stay, you’ll have front row seats for the meeting.” “What meeting.” Caesar said, the count just glanced at him, then looked back to drain, “take them to their seatz, pleaze.” The count said, Drain complied, walking them to the left of the cave, which had square cells cut into the stone of the wall, they were in a 5 by 8 grid, from floor to ceiling, there were many creatures in the cells, at least 25 or so, the group was all thrown in the same cell, besides Caesar, he was put in a cell with other mesopithicus, “enjoy the little time you have left,” drain said “honored guests.” He said sarcastically, he flew away chuckling as he went. “This is not good..” said Ron

The Toxicant Trials- Chapter 1 By Swamp Guy
Slav looked across the cave. Arthropleuras. Coming fast. He whistled to his gallimimus and his Araneo. It was time to go.
They shot out of the cave into bright sunlight. The redwood trees were tall overhead.
Slav patted Flash, his gallimimus and Parker, his Araneo. Another tough spot that they had gotten out of together.
“Hey, who are you?” A girl’s voice asked.
Slav put his hands up. The girl looked at his Araneo and thought for a minute.
That redwoods village was enormous, Slav thought. It had been here where he had killed Skrake.
When they got to a large building, three kapros and a male human bounded out.
Slav recognized that kapro. The kapro recognized him.
“You.” It said. Slav could understand animals. It was pretty weird.
“Jenny!” Said the other human. “You’re back!”
“Yeah, and look at this guy.” She said.
The kapro said it again to the boy. “Kai, that’s the man who killed Skrake!”
Kai’s eyes widened. Slav just stood there, wondering what would happen next.
Chapter 5 is finally here!
The Toxicant Trials- Chapter 5
“Humans.” The megalo snarled. “And three kapros and an Araneo.”
Slav kept his hand on his whistle, ready to tell Parker and Flash to attack the brutal creature.
“I won’t eat you yet.” It growled. “But I know what you are after.”
Kai began blasting with his tek rifle, and the megalosaurus roared in pain. Pockmarked with bullet holes, their pursuer chased them down narrow tunnels, dodging other dangerous creatures, until they were blocked.
Slav and Nox, one of the kapros looked at each other. They could both sense the artifact on the other side of the wall. The creatures closed in and it seemed that they were doomed.
Then suddenly, a reddish blur flew through the tunnels and took the megalo down with one hit. It stopped, and Slav saw Flash, his gallimimus standing there. A tear came to Slav’s eye. He whispered something to Flash and then told Kai to blast through the the wall.
“Okay, sure.” Said Kai, confused. He began blasting through the rock. They made it to the other side, where two things stood at a pedestal.
The artifact.
And the Toxicant Tea.
Slav heard Flash dying, but he was too focused on the vial.
Sir Edmund Rockwell. Where had he heard that name before?
The kapro Pouncer grabbed the artifact and Jenny grabbed the Toxicant Tea. They raced out of the gave and into bright sunlight.
A Rex’s roar shook the Earth.
The Toxicant Trials- Chapter 3
“Long ago, Skrake was a glorious leader of our tribe. We were known as peacemakers and problem solvers. We spread our peaceful influence throughout the word.
But then everything changed. In an expedition to the tek cave, Skrake and I uncovered a small bottle of liquid with the name Sir Edmund Rockwell on it. We did not know what it was.
Skrake and his scientists began to do tests on it. Skrake became obsessed. Our tribe had now gained a more reclusive reputation. Then, Skrake finally figured out how the liquid worked. It could give any tamed creature supernatural weapons, though killing it over time. Skrake called the liquid the Toxicant Tea. His first subject was my giga, Titan.”
Kai and the kapros gasped. “What happened next?” Jenny asked.
“When the Toxicant Tea was used on Titan, he became loyal to nobody. He went on a rampage and destroyed our entire village. He killed my mosa, my stego, my raptor pack... my only tames left are right here next to me. Myself, Skrake, and a small band of Skrake’s followers were the only human survivors. Skrake figured out how to control Titan, and they set on using him to find more Toxicant Tea. They only found one more vial. I heard rumors that it was going to be used on a kapro called Cutter. I see now that he escaped. But I fear that while Skrake is dead, some of his followers may still be out there and searching. We must find the Toxicant Tea and destroy it.”
The kapros nodded. Kai and Jenny talked for a minute and then turned back to Slav.
“We will help you.”
King of the Wyverns
Chapter 4
Malston flew out the cave. Tricking the wyvern had been easy. Now came the hard part: leading Cleo far away from anywhere near Ares.
“You can come out now Cleo!” Malston yelled. She quickly came from her hiding spot on the other side of the hill, another cave Ares had not seen. Knowing the land so well came in handy for sure.
“Ares is gone, so let’s move somewhere else,” Malston urged. “He’s looking for you.”
“Ooooh!” Cleo squealed. “This is the most exhilarating game of hide and seek ever!”
Malston smiled. “Yeah, so let’s go. If he finds you, you’ll lose. You don’t want to lose, right?” Fooling this naïve wyvern was easier than fooling Ares.
Cleo nodded. “But where do we hide?”
Malston held back a gigantic smile. Everything is going according to his plan. “I know the perfect place. Follow me.” He flew away quickly. A gut feeling told him Ares was on his way back, so he had to work swiftly.
Cleo and Ares were too dangerous together: Cleo may not act it, but she was perceptive and intelligent while Ares was said to have unsurpassed combat skills along with top-tier schooling. They would easily find The Artifact, which was meant to be hidden. And if they found The Artifact, they would also find The Hidden Lands.
And that would mess up all of Lord Hiro’s plans.
Two Deinonychus flew through the tall grass. Their most recent hunts had been unsuccessful, but this one was bound to succeed. Their prey this time was a trike that came out of a fight with a group of dilophosaurus scratched and scarred.
Easy meal.
They hopped onto it and tore at the surprised trike, which easily succumbed to their sharp teeth and claws.
“That’s one,” said one deinonychus, a black one with specks of white scattered through his feathers.
“Thinks it’s enough?” said the other, a rare mutation. She had blue feathers and a white stripe going down her back. She was widely known throughout all of the deinonychus in Fjordur for having superior stamina and strength.
The black one nodded. “Let’s drag it over there,” he said. “We have to be careful though.”
The two Deinonychus dragged the trike to the recipient of the meal: an awaiting Carchadontasaurus. They watch it eat.
“Wonder why Lord Hiro wants this thing,” said the blue one, nodding at the carcha. “He’s paying good for it though.”
The black deinonychus lowers his voice to a whisper. “I heard he wanted it to kill something.”
“Like what?”
“A wyvern.”
Toxic Tales: Chapter 6
Power
Achelois whinced as a pain flared through her head. "Watch your step wyvern!" Yelled an allo, he hit her in the face with his tail as he left. When his tail touched her scaled she could hear his voice, "stupid wyvern..." She was startled by the voice, how is it possible that she could hear his voice even when he didn't speak? It must be my imagination, she thought, how else could she hear what wasn't said?
She saw Elpis entering the camp with Moirae and Elpis rushed over to her.
"We're starting the walk to the shore tonight, get ready," Elpis said.
"Ok, how far is it?" Achelois questioned.
"Around ten kilometers."
"With the hatchlings and the patrols around we won't make it in a day."
"That's why I said start," teased Elpis.
Suddenly the pain came back, this time Achelois saw something, the silhouette of wings over a forest at dusk, she saw a poison wyvern swoop down into the camp and shot poison at the fleeing allos.
"Are you okay?" Asked Elpis.
"Yeah, just a headache."
"Okay, the hunting party should be back soon."
Achelois spent the rest of the day dreading dusk, she told herself that it wouldn't happen, it's impossible to predict the future. Once the sun set she relaxed, it wouldn't happen it can't happen. Then she saw it, the silhouette flying towards them, "run! There's a patrol!" She yelled.
Moirae lead the pack, holding a hatchling in her mouth while the other allos sprinted alongside her. The wyvern shot poison at them, just missing Elpis, who shot back, hitting it's wing. The second wyvern flew through the trees into the camp, Achelois saw him, immediately recognizing his face, her father. He shot the allo next her, the allo dropped the hatchling in his jaws and fell to the ground. While Elpis and her father fought she pushed the acid off the allo, picked up the hatchling in her mouth, and grabbed the allo in her talons. She fled with Elpis close behind with one thought in her mind, "they know we're here."
