Chapter Three: The Island
I stared through the magnifying glass, at the symbol. ‘Contestant one? What does that even mean.’ I thought. “Uh… Ethan?” I asked, standing up. Ethan looked down from the top bunk. “Yeah…?” He responded. “Get down here.” I ordered. He complied, not gracefully though, he dropped off the bunk and landed on the floor. “Ouch.” He mumbled, standing up. “Show me your wrist.” I said. He held out his left hand nervously. “Look.” I said. He looked down at his wrist. I held the magnifying glass up to it. “What… in the… Con-test-ant…. what do think it means?” He asks nervously. “How should I know? Your the smart one here.” I replied, then realizing what I just said, scowled. “LIGHTS OUT!” A voice called. The lights shut off, leaving me and Ethan in darkness. I sat down in the bed, suddenly feeling very tired. I could hear Ethan grunting as he tried desperately to get back on the top bunk. Soon, I couldn’t hear anything at all. Just the short ringing sound, of silence.
I was wet. That was the first thought that came to mind. I felt as if I had just fallen off a ship into the stormy sea, but that couldn’t be right, there was no sea. Not anymore at least. I opened my eyes, and pulled myself up to a sitting position. I was on a beach. A forest sat in front of me, ocean behind me, to my left I could see more of the beach, to my right, a large scaly beast stood, munching on the leaves of the forest. “It’s beautiful, am I right?” A voice said from behind him. I hopped to my feet and whirled around. Ethan stood there, holding an axe of some sort. “Where are we?” I asked, my voice strangely hoarse. “No idea, but, we’ll be fine, I saw smoke rising from part of the beach further down. My bet, is that we aren’t alone on this island.” Ethan smiled. “Here.” Ethan tossed the axe to me. I inspected it. It was crude, made out of stone and wood. But it would do the job. “Should we investigate the smoke?” Ethan asked. I nodded. We began trotting down the beach looking for the source of a large smoke cloud that hung in the air, we didn’t need to travel far though. Almost half a mile out. We spotted a large wooden cabin, a small wall of spikes ran around it. I held the axe at ready. We crept past through a small gate that stood as the entryway to the property. Four campfires stood in the corner of the area, they were lit, a small white egg sat in fire. Ethan walked up to the door and knocked. Almost instantly the door flung open. A man stood there, he was almost as old as me, yet, much more… wild looking. He had a bushy brown beard, smooth brown hair, green eyes, a very pale face, and a white tunic looking garment. He held a makeshift bat in his hand. “We mean no harm.” Ethan said. “…Josh?” I yelped. For it was, Josh, the commander who had seen it all. Josh lowered his bat, looking almost disappointed that he wasn’t about to wack somebody. “Peter! It’s so good to… see you!” Josh cried out. “Percival.” I muttered. “I’ve been here for years! How’d you guys find me?” He asked. Ethan looked confused. “But I just saw you yesterday. You looked as healthy and happy as you could get.” Ethan said. Josh scratched his head. “Oh yeah, come to think of it, I did just get here, sorry I must’ve forgotten about you junior.” He said, patting Ethan on the head. Ethan looked at me and mouthed something that looked “He’s crazy.” I nodded in agreement. “Come on in lads, I’ve got loads to tell you both!” He said.

The Five Talons of Abberation, Chapter One...
Kiri sat atop a stack of crates, in the back of the small general store of their little underground town. She polished the wood of her violin, tapping her boots on the crates and creating a steady beat, staring at the carvings in the glistening mushroomwood of the violin. Suddenly, she heard a tremendously loud crash sounding from in the main part of the store, followed by a shout. "Oh, no... not again..." She muttered. She set her violin down in the case, before hopping down from the crates. "Mitsuto!!" She yelled, calling for her Yi Ling. Her boots clacked as she walked on the hardwood floor, stepping into the room to a distressing mess. Mitsuto lay on the floor, one wing stretched across the wood floor, the other tucked at her side. She had knocked over several shelves, and one of them lay overtop of her, squishing her. "Mitsuto..." She groaned, putting her hand to her face. She crossed her arms, shaking her head at the Yi Ling. She squawked quietly in apology, twitching her tail, which only caused more of the glass jars on the shelf next to her to fall and shatter. Osmond, the owner of the store, stood next to her. He shook his head at Kiri dissaprovingly, his face tight with anger. "I told you to keep this... thing... out of here!" He shouted. She scowled, looking at the ground. "I am aware..." She sighed, picking up the shelves and taking them off of Mitsuto. "Look, we can help you-" "No!" Osmond yelled. "I want you and your beast out of here!" He said, kicking a shard of glass toward her. "Let me just-" She was cut off as he threw her out of the store, Mitsuto coming after her. "Well..." She said. "I guess that's the end of that." She got up off of the ground, dusting off her pants and pulling up the hood of her cloak. She re-fastened one of the buttons in the back, and then fixed the cloak-like fabric that was attached to her belt, and stopped at about her shins. She looked at Mitsuto. Her shimmery opal-white feathers were covered in jam and things, and a shard of glass was stuck in her featherless legs. She gently pulled it out, wrapping a white silk bandage around her leg. Then, she continued down the streets of the town, watching as people went from place to place. Finally, they came to a place where they could clean themselves off, and so they did.

The ARKS: SE1.5
The first day of Scorched Earth for him was alright, at the least. For some reason he heard in his dream some guy named CPG yapping about some "story" that he didn't really care about.
"Hey, wake up, Master, get up!" A shrill, smooth, voice called supposedly right beside him.
"...what?" Dave mumbled sleepily. He turned over away from the voice, the sleeping bag encapsulating his body, keeping him insulated. "It's dawn, let's go when it's cooler before noon." The shrill sound called, its eerily small and quiet voice calling almost to his ear.
"all-right, fair enough. lemme get up." Dave almost whispered out, took out his tucked arms, then gave them a good stretch above his head, then slid out his legs, lying straight. He got up, packed and rolled up his sleeping bag, then tent. Jen was the one who was telling Dave to wake up, but it was indeed, dawn. Dave crouched down for Jen to climb up to his shoulder, then the trek was on the way.
*probably like 30 minutes later*
The walk was pretty tiring, he found some crystal on the way and decided to make a water jar on the way and squeezed some cactus pulp and juice into the jar to act as a temporary water source for a while.
"Hey, I think I see something over there, and it's surely not water!" The shouldered Jerboa called, holding a paw facing his left direction. He peeked over his shoulder and found a humanoid shadow over the horizon. Turns out he's not alone.
Hey fellas, CPG here! Story starts at Ankylo to Z in SE filter.

• Chapter 5 •
Izzabee stood silently by the wall, watching the Poison Wyvern pacing before her. She inhaled deeply, nodding as he spoke to her in his firm and anxious tone. She tried her best to listen, despite losing his attention rather quickly.
“I’m telling you, no more festivals like that for a while. Too much for my brain to handle.” He said, still pacing, his tail switching left and right.
“You were barely even there,” Izzabee said slowly.
“It was so crowded! Let the Ice Wyverns host their full moon thing. I don’t mind missing that.” He said with a small wave of his wing. Izzabee sighed again, and he glanced at her. “You’re paying attention, right?”
“Yes, Toxin. I’m listening.” She replied.
“Good good good good,” He said, pausing from his pacing for a moment. “Why else did I want to talk to you?”
“I wanted to talk to you, actually,” she reminded him. “About the new hunter that joined.”
“I already heard about them, what about it?” Toxin asked, tapping his claws on the ground restlessly.
Izzabee sat down with a small grunt, feeling especially old today. “Her name is Bria. Pandora’s sister.”
Toxin stopped from his fidgeting. “Wait, really? That’s great! We should meet her as soon as we can. No, wait, scratch that. You should meet her.”
“If this is simply to find out more about her sister, I’m not doing it,” Izzabee said. “She’s just as normal as any Wyvern here and doesn't deserve all these staring eyes and dragons looking to figure her out.”
“But… She’s not normal,” Toxin said quietly. “Look, I just want you to meet with her and learn about her. Talk to her. Ask how she and her sister are doing.”
“You just want her to be our contact to Pandora?” Izzabee said, saying it as a statement and only barely a question.
“Well you don’t tell her that part,” Toxin said anxiously.
“I’m not doing it,” Izzabee said.
“Oh come on, please!” Toxin said, coming up to her with pleading eyes. “Please please please, Izzabee, you beautiful dragon! Do it for me.”
Izzabee stared down at him and his pathetic little expression. She sighed deeply and rolled her eyes. “Ugh, you’re lucky I raised you so well. Fine.”
“Thank you, Mother,” Toxin breathed.
“But first I’m just going to get to know Bria and see how well she’s doing so far with being a hunter.” She turned her head to look over the balcony at the territories below and the group of hunters that had just taken off. Toxin watched them go as well, sitting back and folding his wings close to his chest. She looked in mild fondness at him, his green eyes reflected with light as he thought to himself. “Good.” He said.
“I’m gonna have to wait till they get back,” Izzabee said quietly.
“All fine,” Toxin said dismissively.
“Alright, it’s settled then. I’m going to go for a flight.” She said, walking towards the entrance to the balcony. Toxin flicked his tail in farewell and she padded back into the palace, heading down the stairs with the end of her wings brushing the smooth wooden walls.
She passed another Wyvern as she went and hopped down and glided the rest of the way down to the end. She’d make sure to see Bria later tonight, or perhaps tomorrow if she wasn't able to today. Her back claws dug into the floor for a moment before she jumped and flew upwards out of the palace. She beat her teal and yellow wings as she flew.
Toxin, who now stood alone on the balcony, watched the small blur of Izzabee as she flew away. He found himself blinking and thinking some more, his curiosity of the new hunter and her strange sister at its highest.

Jerry grabbed Rick's wrist and held on to him, but he knew his grip wouldn't last long. The Allosaurus was way bigger than Jerry, and therefore way stronger. Jerry looked around and spotted a steak knife, but it was too far away. He reached for it, but it was just out of his reach. Rick was panicking of course, and this was not helping. "You're not gonna like this. I need you to hold on to something and try not to get eaten." Jerry let go and grabbed the steak knife. He immediately spun around and stabbed the Allo in the eye. It roared out in pain and surprise and retreated
Rick didn't look any happier though, in fact, was looking at jerry with a scared look. Jerry looked behind him just In time to see an Allo ramming into him. He hit the wall and went unconscious.....
Moon Tales
Season 1 - Episode 9
Andromeda eventually made her way to the large townhouse. It was a very large townhouse and that was for sure. Andromeda noticed there were many lady guards at the front door holding bows and arrows.
“I shouldn’t mess with them,” Andromeda thought, “Maybe I could find a way inside through a back window.”
Andromeda slowly crept toward the back of the townhouse and noticed a small window. She quickly peeked inside and noticed there was a woman inside at a desk, writing something down on a piece of paper. She was wearing a set of comfortable looking clothes and a pair of glasses. Her hair was short and she seemed quite studious.
Andromeda’s eyes darted around, looking around the room. There didn’t seem to be any weapons.
“Now’s my chance,” Andromeda thought.
Andromeda pressed her foot against the window, and then smashed it inside super hard.
KRASH!
The glass shattered, and as the young woman turned around to scream Andromeda quickly wrapped her hand around her mouth and clutched her neck.
The woman let out a muffled cry for help, to which Andromeda hushed her.
“Shut up,” Andromeda whispered, looking around anxiously. She wasn’t even sure why she was doing this.
“I didn’t ask to be a part of Sand Clan,” Andromeda thought, “I only joined because John did.”
Andromeda suddenly felt very bad for this girl. She hadn’t done anything wrong to her, nor to Sand Clan. For all she knew she was just an ordinary person trying to make ends meet.
Andromeda finally decided, “I don’t want to hurt you. I’ll let you go as long as you don’t say anything.”
The girl nodded profusely. Andromeda looked behind her one last time, and then let her go.
She stumbled forward, and her glasses slipped off her nose, to which Andromeda quickly caught and held out for her to grab.
“I’m really sorry for doing that,” Andromeda apologized, “I just woke up like an hour ago.”
“I-It’s okay,” the girl stuttered, “My name is Deborah. Let me guess, Sand Clan?”
“Cool name. I’m Andromeda. And yeah, I’m part of Sand Clan,” Andromeda replied, “I didn’t really have a choice. Some other guy I met wanted to join and-”
“You shouldn’t,” Deborah murmured softly,
“They’re the bad guys, not us.”

Hello hope you enjoyed Episode 9 of the first season of Moon Tales this is Moon Tales Girl... sorry it took a while for this one to come out i had to plan out a few character concepts for my story. i have a few cool ones and i cant wait to introduce them plus i had to come up with names for all of them that fit with the theme of the story. plus i had to transition to writing more gramaticly correct because it looks better on the eyes and easier to read. originally the bad grammar was to fit the theme of the story (i just learned about it... its a very neat). Anyway i'll see you in the next section alphabetally aka Argentavis
also woah... The Arks: Over Heaven is super long i didn't know about this i will have to check it out anyone know where to find the first chapter?
All the Light we Cannot See
Chapter 6
“Up now!” Commander Liu said, bursting inside the room. “Everyone besides Andrew get ready, and call me Lieutenant from now on, and once you're done come outside the front door..” Lieutenant Liu said, then he turned around and shut the door. “Dang, just like at the base.” Andrew said to Max. Max just nodded. He got up, got dressed, grabbed his rifle, and quickly reported outside. “Andrew last night was able to contact HQ, since we’re no longer in the air, we are ground troops now, we are now the 6th company.” Lieutenant Liu said.
“So now we’ll move out.” Liu said. “COMPANY! TURN LEFT!” Lieutenant Liu ordered. Everyone quickly turned left, we were arranged in fifths. “Wait! Wait! We will give you some horses and supplies for your journey.” Artois said as he rushed outside. Once we were done getting ready we headed out. “Lieutenant, where are we going to?” John asked. “To your house that’s where.” Lieutenant Liu mocked. Everyone else started to laugh including Max and Andrew.
“To our camp we found the night before idiot.” Lieutenant Liu replied. “Too many mosquitos..” Jacob mumbled as he kept slapping himself while riding the Carno. “Hey Jacob, got a name for that Carno yet?” Hayden asked. “Yep, he’s Rage.” Jacob replied. “Here we are lads, settle in now.” Lieutenant Liu said as he showed us the camp. There were about 13-15 tents and 3 campfires. “You all are going to share a tent with someone, so go on, find one and get along.” “Lieutenant, shouldn’t we make foxholes around the camp instead of tents?” Ron asked. “Good idea.”
Later that night, instead of Foxholes or tents, the Company was forced to make trenches. Our camp was in front of a mountain wall so the company just dug around it. “Max you’re on the left trench.” Sergeant-Chief Kyle said. Max quickly made his way to the left trench, in there was Andrew, Hayden, and some other comrades that Max forgot the name of. He quickly sat next to Andrew. “When are we going to get out of this stupid island?” Hayden asked.
“Who knows.” Max replied as he threw a rock. “BOOOM!” “Attack! We’re under attack!” Jack shouted. Everyone quickly got in position. “Who is it?” Andrew whispered next to me. “Looks like the rock I threw exploded.” Max joked. “Krauts! Make ready!” Kyle shouted, everyone immediately aimed outside, waiting for the Krauts to charge.
“YARGH!” The attackers were not the Krauts but a native tribe. “Are those cavemens?” Hayden asked. “I don’t know, they’re holding clubs and spears.” Max replied. “Open fire!” Kyle ordered. Everyone opened fire, the cavemens seemed to have never seen guns before and scattered around. “Cease fire! Cease fire!” All around the camp shouted. “Great, now idiot cavemens are a threat now.” Andrew said as he closed his eyes and fell asleep.
Soon so did Max.

-Chapter 7-
“Hello?” The Carno said, stepping closer. “Are you alright?”
Forest blinked several times, then asked, “you name is Spark?”
“Yeah,” the Carno said, sounding confused. “That’s a pretty common Carno name.”
“Why did you save me?” He blurted.
“Well,” she sighed, tossing her head. “I suppose it instinct, really. See a creature in need, help him out. Wouldn’t you do that?”
Forest stared at her.
“So, friend, you’re probably wondering why I’m alone at such a young age.”
“Uhh…” Forest said. “Am I?”
“The reason is I kind of ran away,” she droned on. “Let’s say my parents are not too great. It’s a Carno thing, actually. But I don’t want to be like them. What are you anyway?”Her scales where a dull white with specks of orange, like scattering fireflies.
Forest realized she had asked him a question, and was waiting for an answer. “I’m a Drake. My name is Forest.”
“A DRAKE?” She echoed. “What is a cave-dwelling germaphobe of a creature doing out here?” She stood up high, spreading her small arms to the landscape around her.
“Um—“ before he could answer, she spoke over him, “Hold on, before you answer, let’s find another, more private spot.” She said. “There’s probably like a hundred Compys eavesdropping right now. Follow me?”
Forest walked shortly behind her as she took them to a large tree with long, draping leaves that reached the ground. She bent over and pushed through, and he followed.
“Tada!” She said, turning in a circle. “See? Private. Now we can talk somewhere no one else can hear.”
“Oh,” Forest said. “Thanks.”
“Soooo… why are you out in the forest, Forest?” She asked, sitting down on her haunches.
“It’s um, a really long story,” Forest said.”
“So you ran away too?”
“What?” Forest said. “No—well, I guess,” he was starting to feel guilty now.
“Hm!” Spark regarded him for a moment with sparkling green eyes. “We’ll, you seem like nice guy. So. Could I join your story?”

Chapter 33: The Obelisk
Part 5/5
The “fragment” suddenly began to beep, and Skyler let out a scream of fear, throwing it toward Rick. Rick shielded his face with his hands, embracing the inevitable, when Paige leapt forward and smashed the grenade with her club, causing it to fly a few feet away and up into the air. With one swift explosion, it enveloped the air with small shards of metal and flame, causing everyone to duck for cover. A soft ringing echoed within Samuel’s ears, as he struggled to regain his vision.
“Goodness gracious what was that for?!” Rick cried in anger.
“I’m- I’m really sorry-”
“Girl, you could’ve gotten Rick killed,” Paige spat.
“I didn’t know!”
“What are you talking about? That doesn't look like an obelisk fragment!”
Everyone began to slowly bicker with one another, and Samuel looked up at the sky, trying to find out where it came from, but there was nothing. All he could really spot was a Pteranodon that was speeding off. Could it have come from the obelisk?
“Maybe, maybe it did,” Samuel thought with grimness. He rubbed his ears, the ringing slowly going away. He glanced over at the forest again, and the red haze was gone. He let out a sigh of relief, the beating heart within his chest dying down…

Chapter 33: The Obelisk
Part 3/5
The trip to the Green Obelisk was very uneventful, surprisingly enough. Goofy very easily took care of any Raptors that attempted to attack them, and even the occasional Carnotaurus was dismissed as nothing more than a pest.
“Having these beasts is very important,” Samuel thought, “Clearly, they are the key to survival here. But will they be the key to escape?”
Samuel knew that they were only part of the equation. Making allies with others was just one variable. So was domesticating the dinosaurs here on this island. But where are there other variables?
“Maybe knowledge is one of them,” Samuel thought as he stared at Rick. He was squinting his eyes at his own book, flipping back and forth as if one of the pages were missing. He had a shard of flint in his hands. It looked like he was taking notes.
“I know Rick knows something the others don’t. Maybe I should talk to him some other time,” Samuel thought as he looked ahead. At this point the Green Obelisk was just a hundred more feet away or so. Soon they would finally arrive and see what all of the fuss was about.
Suddenly, someone bumped into Samuel. He looked to his right to see Aurora walking alongside him, and she was staring right at him.
“What’s wrong? You look like you’re deep in thought,” Aurora gently asked. Samuel turned away, annoyance striking his face.
“Nothing. Just thinking. About the next step,” Samuel replied.
“Okay, okay,” Aurora said, closing her eyes gently. Samuel couldn’t help but huff in annoyance. He didn’t know what to do with her. He knew that she probably liked him, but what would happen if he rejected her? Would things be the same? What could the consequences be? And what if she didn’t really like him?
“I’ll just wait, for now,” Samuel thought as the forest began to clear away.
And soon enough, the Obelisk was there, in all of its glory. Samuel had never seen it up close, but one thing he knew was it was pretty damn ominous. It was made out of some sort of metal, and a light green beam poured from the obelisk and down onto the ground. The Obelisk was like some floating, metal tower. The top of the tower eerily resembled the implants the others had, down to the last minute detail.
“This is definitely by design,” Samuel muttered, “It’s leading me to believe that this was all planned by somebody.”
Skyler pointed ahead at a metal platform that hung on an island beneath the beam of green light.
“Right over there. We have to get there. That’s where we’ll attain its power.”
Unfortunately, the island was surrounded by water, and there was only one pathway to get there. And that pathway was blocked by a giant, sleeping Brontosaurus. The gentle giant swung its tail back and forth gently. Everyone groaned at the sight.
“Ugh. Great. That fatty is blocking the way,” Paige scoffed, tapping her club against the grass.
“What are we gonna do now?” Neddy asked, looking around, “I mean. There’s gotta be another way, right?”
“We could jump the gap,” Ruby confidently claimed.
“No. We’re not doing that,” Paige snorted.
“We need to lead the Bronto out of here,” Sunny decided. Everyone turned to her.
“And how are we supposed to do that?”
Sunny hopped onto Stream’s back, tugging at the reins tightly.
“I’ll attack it, and it’ll move away that way.”
“What?!” Skyler burst out, “That is far too dangerous! There must be another solution!”
“It’s fine. That thing is big and slow. It’ll never catch up to me. Besides, I can lead it to the river. That’ll slow it down even more,” Sunny claimed, “Just, let’s just meet up later, kay? Back here at the Obelisk. It’ll be quick.”
Skyler let out a sigh, waving at Stream.
“Fine. Go for it… and good luck.”
Sunny grinned, tugged on the reins, and Stream was off. The group closely followed behind, and Stream was approaching the giant closer and closer. Rick was gritting his teeth, clenching his knife tightly.
“Hiyah!” Sunny cried out as Stream jumped forward and latched onto the Brontosaurus. Stream began to dig its claws into it and tore a chunk of its flesh off. The Brontosaurus’ tail moved around uncomfortably, whipping and snapping at the air. With a slam, it caused a chunk of the earth to fall into the abyss of water below the Obelisk.
KASPLASH!
A stream of water rose into the air, and the Brontosaurus slowly made its way up onto its feet. At this point Sunny and Stream were on the run. Sunny tugged on the reins once more, and Stream lunged away toward the riverbanks. The Brontosaurus’ neck moved around, and after spotting its attacker it slowly began to march away. Its steps caused the ground to tremor, and Samuel closed his ears at the sound. It was almost as if earthquakes were shaking the island.
My tribe mate tamed me on of these cute lil guys.
Then we had to transfer server because the admin of the server was gonna quit ark. When we transferred, my transfer did not work.
Luckily my tribe mate realised that I didn’t know to to transfer, and didn’t bring the implants.
He bang me the archy implant, along with Big Girls (my giga). I’m happy to have my loving parachute back.

The Terrible Demise of Tortuga.
Chapter eight.
The next morning was about the same as the last. They ate breakfast then went to go ‘play’ with the other kids. “Hi guys!” Elizabeth said. She was talking with a boy they hadn’t met yet. “Who are you?” Jack asked. “Eric Swan, my parents are Nia Swan and Josh Swan.” He said. “Well, I’ll let you boys talk, I have to find Justin.” Elizabeth said. “I think he’s with Josephina and Jaquin but ok.” Emma said then walked off to talk with some girls who were age. Elizabeth skipped off, her long brown hair looking golden in the sunlight. Eric watched her go. He sighed dreamily. Jay and Jack watched Eric watch Elizabeth. Jack held out his hand and tapped Eric on the back, startling him. “How old is she?” Jack asked Eric. “I think she’s thirteen like me.” Eric said. “Exactly.” Jay said. Eric turned red. “Calm down Eric, there will be others.” Jay said.
Meanwhile Emma was talking with Emilia Bolton and a few other girls. “…yeah my family operates the lighthouse here for ships at sea.” Emilia said. “It’s a family tradition for the oldest child to take over the job so I get it. Yay!” She said sarcastically. “You don’t want to?” Rachelle asked. Emilia shook her head. “Nah, I hate this island. I wanna leave when I grow up.” Emilia said. “You gotta get a boat first though.” Olivia said matter of factly. “I guess… although…. I could just sneak on the next boat sailing away to another island.” Emilia said. They all laughed at this absurd notion. “You’de get caught. I’ve seen you try to sneak, you’re terrible at it.” Elizabeth said. “Would not!” Emilia protested. “Would too!” Elizabeth said. This continued till Emma interrupted them. “Okay guys break it up!” They reluctantly complied. “Why hello ladies.” Andrew said walking up. Though he addressed them all he was specifically looking at Emma. “Hi Andrew.” They said at the same time except Emma. “Hi Andrew.” Emma said shyly. Rachelle cleared her throat. “You know we’re not exactly adults yet.” Rachelle said. “So you don’t have to say ‘ladies’.” Andrew opened his mouth to reply but was interrupted. “But y’all might as well be.” A voice said. They turned to see the mayors’ sons. One of them stepped in front of Andrew and turned to Emma. “You must be the new girl. You look….” He struggled for a phrase. “…. uh…..uh…um……um….cute?” He grabbed her hand and kissed it. “I’m Michael, pleasure to meet you.” Michael said. Emma yanked her hand away from him. “Pleasure.” She said trying to keep the disgust off her face. “But I have to go check on my brothers.” She pushed past him and headed over to Jack and Jay who were talking with Eric and a few other boys.
“Did you know that there is a type of mushroom that is called a death cap?” Aaron Jr. asked. “Nope never heard of it.” Eric said. “Yeah there is, if you eat it it has this molecule that will kill your liver and kidneys. You’de be dead in five days unless you get a transplant.” Aaron Jr. said. They all gulped. “I’ll never eat wild mushrooms again.” Eric said then shuddered. Just then Emma walked up, with a disgusted look on her face. “What happened to you?” Jay inquired, noticing her disgusted face. “I just meet one of the mayors’ sons!” She whispered. “He kissed my hand! I almost threw up.” Jack and Jay cracked their knuckles in unison. “I’m going to wash my hands now, with LOTS of soap.” She said and ran off. Eric grimaced. “Those boys are just spoiled brats, just don’t tell them I said that, they’re the future mayors after all.” Eric said. “Nobody does that to OUR sister. NOBODY.” Jack said. “Plus they’re not even her age, they’re only seventeen.” Aaron Jr. said. “What?!!” Jack exclaimed. “And they’re going to be mayors soon?!”

Intro.
Cho was a phoenix. Her mother Xia was the queen of their phoenix tribe. Cho has one brother (Kono). Her father was killed a long time ago by the featherlights. Their phoenix tribe his in the redwood forest from humans and… the phoenix worst enemy… the featherlight. Whenever her mother (fox) either dies or retired Cho would be queen. In their phoenix tribe the younger sibling would become the new queen or king.
Chapter one.
Cho woke up one cloudy morning. Her bright fiery orange eyes blinked from the bright sunlight shining into her tree. She stretched her giant wings back and forth. In the distance she could hear the phoenix hunting call echoing through the air. Gracefully Cho hopped from her tree and soared through the air headed for the “mother tree” where her mother was. Cho landed and bowed respectfully to her mother. “Hello mother.” She said softly to the queen. Queen Xia nodded. “Hello Cho.” “Your brother Kono is leading the hunt.” She said. Cho sighed. “I know.” “Sorry I slept in.” Her mother smiled. “I understand,” She said. Cho sighed thankfully. “but…in the future you need to be up because when you are queen…” she continued lecturing Cho but Cho stopped listening. She stared down outside the tree watching phoenixes fly by. “Why do I have to be queen?” She suddenly blurted interrupting her mother. Xia looked shocked. “Why my dear Cho, it has been a tradition for all our people that the youngest child becomes the tribe leader!” “But mother…I don’t want to be queen.” “Kono can be king for all I care…he wants to be king anyway.” “I’m not meant to be..,” Xia interrupted sharply. “Enough! You will be queen whether you like it or not!” Cho hung her head. “Yes mother.”
