Chapter 10 ~The cryo arrow~

“KGEEAAAMMM.” Bones roared. (Yes I know it’s a nonsense word but it sounds more like a Dino roar that ROAR! Does it not?) “everybody runnn!!” A gigantopithicus yelled. Ceasar reached into his bag and pulled out another arrow. “I hope this works..” he said, he fired the arrow at Bones, it hit him in the shoulder just above his arm, a blue glow shot out through the arrow, through his veins, up his spine, and into his brain, he dropped mid run immediately as the glow reached his head, he looked dead. “Did you?..” the chief said. “No. Well I hope not.. I don’t really know what I shot…” Ceasar said. They walked up to Bones and examined him, he was breathing and his eyes could move, he looked at the team with normal eyes, they weren’t glowing a fiery orange anymore, his eyebrows couldn’t move but his eyes looked like he was mad. “It’s like the arrow shut down his brains connection to his body. At least most of it.” Ceasar said. “Good thing it didn’t make him stop breathing..” The chief said. “Is it safe to come down yet this guy is really heavy..” Jaxz said, Caesar gave him the all clear and he landed, the other two gigantopithicus tended to Birch. “So now what do we do?” Jaxz asked. “Wait I guess, hope this arrow wears off.” Caesar said.

It got late so they made camp around bones’s body, it wasn’t much just a few tents one of the gigantopithicus had in his huge backpack, a little fire, and some withered logs from desert trees. Ceasar was sitting down on one of the logs tinkering with the arrow, it was cold so he dawned a cloak he made out of the waterproof cover from his tent, he decided he probably wouldn’t need that.” As he was tinkering he discovered a canister once filled with a very cold liquid and some kind of targeting system that he thought might use nanobots to guide the liquid to specific parts of the brain, “hmm sorry bud that must be one heck of a brain freeze..” he said looking at Bones, Bones’ eye looked at him and then moved up and down slowly, then seemed to glare at him. “Sorry but you were trying to kill us..” Caesar said.

Caesar tinkered a bit with his new implant, he prodded and poked at it trying to figure out what all it could do, it was difficult partly because his tools were nothing more than rusty metal rods, and he was left-handed which meant he had to use his other hand, at one point he thought the implant flashed green instead of the usual cyan, but he discarded the idea as nothing more than his mind playing tricks on him, eventually he figured out there wasn’t much he could do with the implant without better tools so he crawled into his tent and went to sleep.
