Caesar woke up and looked around the camp, he was leaning on a fallen log that he fell asleep on the night before, he saw what was once their fire, —now ashes— he saw scraps of insects and fish bones from Nash’s and Ping’s dinner, he saw a branch scarred from Jaxz's claws, —as he slept perched upside down on the branch— but what he didn’t see was the rest of the group, not one, he darted up looking around, starting to panic, then fire bursted through the trees and he saw the dragon, standing there ominously, “you have failed them Caesar they are all dead,” the dragon said, he chuckled “and now, you die!” He leapt at Caesar unnaturally, face first, with his jaws wide, then Caesar awoke with a silent scream, panting, as one does after a nightmare, “you alright Captain?” Ron said. “I’m.. I’m fine..” Caesar replied. “We got you some breakfast,” Ron said, gesturing to a pile of berries, “thanks.” Caesar said. picking some up berries, “so what are you going to eat Jaxz? Don’t you guys suck blood.” Nash said. “AHH DONT SUCK ME!” Ping said, leaping away from Jaxz, “don’t worry Ping I don’t suck anyone,” Jaxz said “ I’ve never liked the taste of blood, it’s.. metallic I prefer bloodfruit.” “What’s bloodfruit?” Caesar asked “it’s a fruit that grows on bleedtrees, tastes just like blood, but with a sweetness instead of a metallic flavor, it also gives the same nourishment.” Jaxz said “ok. what’s a bleedtree..” Caesar asked “it’s one of those.” He answered, gesturing to a tree with reddish purple leaves, it was the same tree Jaxz slept on the night before, Caesar assumed it was a very hard wood, telling that it held his weight all night,

They finished their meal —an assortment of foods due to their various diets— then they gathered their belongings, Caesar’s bag, bow, and quiver, a couple rough spears Nash and Ron fashioned for themselves, and a sac of bloodfruit —bleedtrees are rare— which Jaxz had around his back, “so where are we going from here Captain?” Ron asked “I’ve been thinking about our next course of action, and I think we should go to the lunar island.” Caesar said “why go there?” Nash asked “because that’s were fort Olympia is, and I think we could find some weapons, and useful resources there.” Caesar said “makes sense.” Ron said.

they marched through the woods till midday, then stopped to rest and eat, they continued on for about an hour, until they saw it… a giganotosaurus.
