Guns n’ Rexes

Chapter 4: Yours Is All That You Take

It was a few days or so, but we used that time to gain proper clothes and for me to heal. Turns out that those travellers we were scouting out were headed to another village, this one full of alchemists and those with odd beliefs. With the jewels and metals Jesse had left, we bought some brews to heal me and some decent clothes, as well as a buff that they dyed black with a streak o’ red exactly where my scar was so that I could cover my face. I looked like a proper cowboy I did. Beginning to use some of their slang too it seems. Huh.

Whatever that sword was made out of… It was like nothing I’d ever seen before. It glowed like a lightsaber and hurt more than bein’ kicked in the nuts. Now any man out there that knows that pain you should understand the severity and pain from that weapon. After I was healed up some more, I saddled up on Buck and rode off with Jesse and Winchester to rob someone. We didn’t have to ride too far outta town before we found the perfect person- riding a bear towing a cart full of unrefined crystals and metal chunks.

We started following them. We sped up a bit. He turned round, noticed us and sped up a bit. We sped up a bit more. He sped up quite a bit more. It carried on like that till we broke the tension and charged full speed at him, spooking the bear as they began to sprint as well- only we were faster. I pulled my bow out and drew an arrow, pointing it at his face.

“GIVE US YOUR VALUABLES!” I yelled in his face. Jesse circled round to the other side with his bow drawn as well and began shouting.

“PULL OVER.” He demanded. “DON’T MAKE ME LET LOOSE AN ARROW THROUGH YA THICK SKULL MISTER!” The shocked rider in all his flimsy clothes pulled to a stop, looking around for help and yet he found none. He looked as shocked as a karen in a 5-Star restaurant.

“Please-“ He began but Jesse cut him off.

“Off ya hop.”

“I’m just trying to-“

“Tell ya bear buddy to stand down, we ain’t looking to kill it ‘nless ya make us.” He whilstled his bear to calm down. Jesse kept his bow drawn to the man and told me to unload everything and onto our saddles, crystals first. He spoke to the man, asking stuff like “How’s ya day been going, ‘side from this o’ course?” and “Don’t worr-ey, we ain’t unreasonable. We’ll leave some.”

Once our saddle pouches had been stuffed full of crystals, we realised we couldn’t carry any more and wished the lad a fine day before ridin’ off. My first successful robbery. Now I’m done telling campfire tales cause my stomachs gonna kill me if I don’t eat somethin’ soon.

-Little bit of action, next in Raptor and last was in Direbear.

-Nightfall
