Once, there was a guy who had an infinite supply of green gems. Oh, and he also wanted a rock drake. He was looking through his inventory one day wondering what he could use his green gems for. Then he found the answer: climbing picks. He decided to then make a hazard suit and glider suit and go and steal a drake egg on foot. Why did he want to do this? 1: He was known for doing crazy things that never worked out, so he wanted to succeed. 2: He wanted a rock drake. 3: He wanted to prove the wiki wrong (who doesn’t?) and show that it was not impossible to steal a drake egg on foot. His plan? To fling himself from the fertile zone and follow the spine down to the grave of the lost. He would then land on a nest, steal an egg, and then glide out of the grave of the lost. After that, he would climb a tall rock, while being chased by drakes and nameless and make a dangerous glide to the spine, which was in the middle of an element river. He would then climb the spine all the way to the fertile region. He crafted his supplies and set off. He reached the point where he could jump. He jumped and glided out of the fertile zone. He was now above the bioluminescent zone. He started to laugh because he had a feeling of ultimate power. Then he realized that he didn’t know where the spine was. He stopped laughing and glided around until he found it. He found where the spine dropped straight down to the grave of the lost. He had planned to just fall through all the rings in the spine and then catch himself and glide in. He didn’t make it past the first ring. He and to make tons of free falls and quick glides until he could get a decent approach. When he did, he glided in to the grave of the lost. He was going so fast that the eggs didn’t appear. He began to turn around until he saw an egg. He landed nearby the nest and climbed the rest of the way with his climbing picks. He turned toward the exit, grabbed the egg and took off. He felt powerful. He felt happy. He felt brave. However, he did not fly as far as he wanted to. He dodged a nameless and was nearly to the tall rock he needed to climb. Now I would like to say that he succeeded in making it out. Sadly, he got stuck on a rock. A small rock. A rock he could easily have jumped over. He was right next to a drake that was not aggravated. The drake hit him. A third of his health went down. He thought, “I can make it out.” Then he landed in the element river and died instantly. He was very disappointed. Although he failed, he did learn some valuable lessons. 1: It is very hard to glide across the entire map. 2: Don’t underestimate the wiki. Later, he tried again. He failed again. But he knows, that it is absolutely possible. He decided that he should wage a while, bring a light pet, bring at least 100 climbing picks instead of twenty, and bring a cryopoded animal as bait. He knew, that someday he would prove the wiki wrong. Someday, he would show that he was not a fool, but a master of stealing eggs.
If you liked this story, in the future, there may be a story of the survivors success. Also, there may end up being one for wyverns on ragnarok, but that has not happened yet.
Who likes my attempt at getting rock drake eggs? It is the one with “once, there was a guy with an infinite supply of green gems.
It is a true story. Now you know a fun fact about me.
- The Nazgûl
I accidentally just exited out of a huge story but anyways moral of the story take challenges. So I glided from a obelisk to my base not in one run but yah. I also suggested that you try to if you live in a flier accessible only base that you try this. I live on a floating island in crystal isles. Also try to make a climber only kind of base like an upside down one.
The reaper's six hearts, three lungs and many tiny brains spread throughout it's body were all glowing blood red.
She pounced at the reaper, puncturing its chitinous carapace with such force that she saw the red glow in one of the six hearts go out,
Obsidian flew over the reaper and blasted it with fire, it's head brain overheated, but that was only one of sixteen.
A huge ball of viscous mucus flew from the luminous hole in the tip of the reaper's tail, Bluefeathers dodged it and leapt onto the creature's face, biting at its eye, while it was distracted, Obsidian flamed its back, another of its brains burst.
As the reaper was trying to catch Obsidian, Bluefeathers jumped onto it and stabbed her claw into it's lung.
With only two lungs, fourteen brains and five hearts left, the reaper was starting to weaken.
Obsidian blew a blast of fire at the reaper's neck, melting the spiracles through which it breathed shut.
Unable to breath, the reaper fell to the ground.
I was in Creative flying down to summon in Rockwell at the terminal except when I got down there what I saw was hilarious I saw all the rock Drake's spinning in circles and I laughed so hard I couldn't breathe I'm not lying
Bluefeathers suddenly saw a dark shape pass the entrance, Glowyrm glowed so bright it hurt her eyes to look directly at him and started chirping as loudly as his tiny lizard lungs would let him. then...
One by one her head feathers pricked up and glowed, she smelt something like ascerbic mushrooms, stone, darkness, and death. Obsidian woke up and scuttled over, "what's happening?" She asked, "reaper" Bluefeathers replied "what?" Obsidian said, just then there was a low clicking sound, rising into a deafening screech.
A huge dark figure rose out of the ground, it's emotionless eyes burning cold white,
It had a glowing spot at the tip of it's tail, at least it was only a king then,
Bluefeathers sent pulsating waves of invisibility across her scales to confuse it, the creature walked closer, rock drakes had a strange sixth sense that allowed them to see all of a reaper's vital areas, and right now they were shining bright red.
I had a rockdrake named Blueberry. Blueberry was my favorite tame, my first rockdrake, and I had finally leveled him to max level. He was a blue primary and a yellow underbelly with purple feathers and blue and orange tips to them. I decided to move my base closer to the radiation zone, so I did. After that, my friend convinced me to go to all the other maps with Blueberry. So we did. I could not afford Genesis, but I had every other map. She noticed how strong Blueberry was and the bond between us.
"There would be better opportunities," she said, "you would have so much fun with Blueberry. You can bring Violet, too."
Violet was my bulbdog. I agreed.
First we discovered the mass of The Island. Then we dove into Ragnarok, next gliding the winds of The Center. Then we did Valgrueo, and I had a hint of homesickness after seeing the Abberation Trench. But I decided to go through all the maps I could, and tame as many as possible. I left Valgrueo and went to Crystal Isles, breeding wyverns so I could bring eggs back home. I got two Tropicals, an Ember and a Blood. Then, it was time for Scorched Earth. We ventured the sweltering mountains and wyvern trenches, soaring and climbing throughout. Once I had an army of tames, I decided for Extinction. But first, I went back to Abberation to bring all my friends and my tribe to Extinction. They all brought two tames. We wanted to defeat the King Titan. So we tried. We got everything needed, and we battled in the boss battle. I brought my crystal wyverns along. Hurricane, Storm, Vein, and Chroneo. Hurricane and Storm were the tropicals, Vein was the blood and Chroneo was the ember. We fought till the last breath, and won. Blueberry fought hardest. He was first to fight, and he did great. He needed to retire, so once we saved the ARKs, we headed home. Another tribe formed and raided us, failing horribly. But, sadly, Blueberry died. We had the biggest raid ever, and Blueberry fought to his last breath. Sadly, my beloved tame, died honorably. Luckily the murderers died in a horrible death. Blueberry was surrounded by reapers, and I can see why.
Wherever you are now,
You were the best tame. I loved you so.
-Crystal Lands Person (Look in Crystal Wyvern Stories)
After two days Bluefeathers and Obsidian managed to get to the border of the lunar tundra, up close, it was a vast white expanse of snow broken only by the occasional pine grove or grassy hillock.
It seemed to get colder the farther in they got, having been hatched in an ice cave, Bluefeathers didn't mind the cold too much, Obsidian, however, was not used to the cold, Bluefeathers could see her scales visibly steaming.
After they went deep into the lunar tundra, a creature came into view, it resembled a wyvern, but seemed more feline, with small wings, a longer neck, long pointed horns with ear-holes at the base, and it was covered in warm fur.
(note: As this exists in an alternate universe to the ark story, the element areas on a managarmr don't exist)
"Who are you?!" The managarmr demanded "we have come from the other areas to attempt to stop the attacks from crystal heirs by going to the crystal jungle" Obsidian replied.
Bluefeathers turned away from the green-smoking toxic remains of the reaper,
Only to find a huge living tornado of crystal heirs of every type. As the heirs noticed she'd spotted them, the gigantic whirlwind of fangs, talons, and various breath-weapon producing organs started to break apart, first a blood heir attempted to dive, but she pounced on it and stabbed her claw into it's right heart, it wouldn't be any trouble with one leg and wing limp.
Obsidian blasted flames at a tropical just as it spat boiling water at her, turning the incoming water into steam which blocked the tropical's vision, sending it crashing down into a hollow tree, impaling it's central heart on a sharp branch.
Bluefeathers dodged out of the way of a dive-bombing ember, but was attacked by a tropical, she felt it's wing talon shred the scales on her flank, she bit it on it's snout and ran away, Obsidian flying nearby.
After hours running, the crystal heirs gave up.
Bluefeathers clambered up a huge spire of rock,
leaping off it and gliding. She could see the lunar tundra already as a faint white line on the horizon.
They went on for a few hours until darkness fell, she felt her transparent scales beginning to flicker into green again, and Obsidian was having to scurry across the ground instead of flying
"We should find somewhere to stop for tonight" Bluefeathers said "yes, some sort of cave would be good" Obsidian replied.
After a few minutes looking for a cave, they managed to find a good one, Bluefeathers hooked herself to the ceiling with one claw and slept upside-down like a bat, while Obsidian took first watch.
Bluefeathers was woken a few hours later by Glowyrm chirping, Obsidian was still sitting by the entrance on watch, Bluefeathers carefully climbed down to the ground, hearing her, Obsidian went into the cave and curled up.
Bluefeathers sat at the entrance, looking out for anything.
Day 45 on the ark. My tribe had all but gone to sleep, 2:00AM ‘‘twas just me and ares about to leave on our first expedition for rock drakes. We had just made hazmat suits and bred up a new spino from our other 150. We progressed through blue without much resistance and made it to the radiation area where we dawned our rad suits. We were on the clock. Other than the occasional drake or seeker it was quite uneventful, luckily the purlovia we encountered were not interested in fighting us or our 150 mate boosted spinos because that would have been an ordeal. There was no good way to enter the trench so we decided to full send it, knowing full well there was no good way back up. After fighting two full waves of the drakes back to back we had our prize. Two rock drake eggs of levels 95 and 170. We realized our mistake too late, we had learned how to make cryopods prior so we gathered our spinos and began our ascent with picks in hand. ares left the eggs on the spino when he cryopoded it...
Sorry if the remade version of chapter 26 makes a few other chapters confusing. The point was, I wanted the king to hatch from an egg. Oh yeah, should probably skip chapter 27 because I kinda put it in the remade version of chapter 26.
Bluefeathers glided into the main drake area and found it swarming with glowtails all repeating "FOLLOW US! FOLLOW US!"
Bluefeathers knew that meant something important was going on and followed the lizards until she reached a massive cavern entrance, inside the cave it was already crowded with drakes, Bluefeathers went over to a stalactite and hung from it like a bat, a cave door slid out at the bottom of the round cave, then a huge stone column rose out of the hole with a somewhat small, brightly coloured female rock drake on it, "I have received word from a black wyvern that says the wyverns have decided to send one from each species of dragon into the crystal jungle in an attempt to stop the attacking crystal wyverns, a rock drake will have to go to the lunar tundra and the crystal jungle with this wyvern"
Many rock drakes started to turn invisible at just the thought of this, a few others glided for the exit, and a massive number started to make nervous growling sounds, until before long they were all gone leaving only Bluefeathers. There was a long silence, "well, that sorts it then" the small rock drake leader replied.
A few hours later Bluefeathers opened the hidden entrance to drake mountain, camouflaging, she walked out into the open with Obsidian close beside her, they glided off of the ledge toward the lunar tundra.
