What is a pteranodon used for? pteranodon battling strategies in ARK: Survival Evolved.
How to do barrel roll on mobile: Go to settings and then go to controls then either go to left multi tap or right multi tap. Then select Reload/Alt attack2. When you are done, go and press on your screen twice on either left or ritght side. And you pteranodon can now do a barrel roll! Disclaimer:wastes stamina alot so be careful. If you want a pteranodon, please don’t use something insanely fancy or expensive. Is you use a longneck rifle for example and tranq darts on anything under level 25 chances that’s it’s gonna die first or second hit are higher than you might expect. Please just use a bow and tranq arrows. /\ so newbies see this =)
If you play on mobile and want to do the roll then go to settings left or right multi tap and chose alt attack 2 !!!
NOW FOR THE MAIN PART--- THESE THINGS CAN KILL GIGAS the normal roll does decent damage but if you roll and attack a dino while watching the dino through spyglass you can deal tons of damage (this works in mobile idk about other platforms) i killed tons of rexes,brontos,allos..etc. using this trick
Δ IF THIS HELPS~~
My Pteranodon, Shan. Absolute legend. True trooper. Top dog. Killed level 139 Spino on his own. Only level 92. Killed 20 Therizinos. 5 Carnos, 19 Direbears. 31 Raptors, 2 griffins and one Argentavis including a Megalodon that poked its tail up. Can fly from East to west without landing for stamina once. Wiped out a whole crew of boas with 5 barrel rolls. Rescued my Dilophosaurs more than twice. Very useful Pteranodon.
Upgrade their stamina and weight a LOT. This flyer is worth it, upgrade his health and melee dmg enough and it can take out raptors on its own (my lvl24 pteranodon killed a lvl20 raptor and succeeded with half of his HP). These lovely birds are easily encumbered by the weight you're carrying so it's preferent if you use lighter armor and leave a few items in the storage so that it's not slow.
I just discovered my new favorite sport.
Step 1: Tame a pteranodon
Step 2: Pump all levels into movement speed
Step 3: Craft crossbow and grappling hooks
Step 4: Grapple to pteranodon
Step 5: Whistle “attack target” at anything
Step 6: Pull out pike and start jabbing at the air
Enjoy the ride as you are whipped in all directions, and occasionally hit your target!
Tip: Watch your health! This activity may result in being smashed to the ground several times!
(For sky-high, vertigo-inducing fun, whistle to attack a Dimorphodon or another PT! Enjoy the view as you spiral upwards!)
⚠️ This activity may cause injury, dizziness, vertigo, whiplash, digestive problems, serious brain damage, or death! 😊👍
Have fun!
