Part Twenty Two

Jared, Ranesh, Angus, and Petra walked through the woods. As they went, Jared was sure he saw a few things. The glint of metal, the shine of a sword, when finally, they reached a clearing. All of a sudden, a whole legion of soldiers stepped out from the bushes. Jared pulled out his sword. Petra drew her bow. Ranesh hid behind a tree. Six soldiers came at them but Petra shot them all. She skewered two more with her pike, when BANG. She fell to the ground with a bullet in her back. Jared looked around. None of the soldiers had a gun. Then he looked at Angus. He held his longneck rifle in his hands. He threw back his head and laughed. " You really thought I was on your side?" " Wait, if your evil, why would you want to fight the New Leigon? ""I originally wanted to bring you in for experimentation. I made a story, and then you agree to help me. I then capture you. In instead, we walk in on them. Now, I'm just gonna kill you. "
