Part Sixteen

All three of them leapt out of head and grabbed their weapons. Jared had time to think " Cyclops? Like, the X-man?" Before the Alloaur came at them. They all dove out of its way. Jared shot at it but if it did anything it didn't show it. He repositioned his aim and shot it in the eye. It staggered, and then fell. It's rider lept off its back and scowled. He pulled out a sword and charged at Angus. Angus shot at him but the bullets bounced of his armor. He cut him on his arm and he dropped the rifle. Angus seemed to not be able to move his hand, and Cyclops kicked him in the chest, sending him flying. He cut Petras leg and slammed the butt of his sword onto her head. He then turned towards Jared. He swung his sword and it would be cut of his head had he not ducked. It cut the side of his cheek and he immediately couldn't feel that side of his face. Then he realized. The sword was laced in paralyzing venom.
