Monarchy's Plight

Chapter 4

Alisa slowly lifted her head up, hearing footsteps. She sniffed the air and snapped to attention. She quietly got up and looked to see if she could spot them. Halfway into her cave stood a yutyrannus. Alisa ducked deeper into the cave, thinking of a plan. She decided to wait until the yutyrannus was sleeping, then her plan would unfold.

The yutyrannus walked over to a dark spot and and fell asleep. Alisa started using her razor sharp claws to climb up to the ceiling, readying herself for an ambush. She threw a stone towards the entrance of the cave as a distraction as the yutyrannus jerked awake. Alisa watched as it took a step towards the entrance of the cave, waiting for the right opportunity to strike. The yutyrannus took another step, right into Alisa's trap. She leapt from the ceiling onto the yutyrannus' back. The yutyrannus roared in pain as Alisa raked her claws across its back.

"Who are you, and what are you doing in my cave." Alisa hissed.
