Origins of Salizar; Chapter 9 ~ Primalis’s charge ~
“Nice work Wretch, although I am sorry you had to lose your appendages in the process.” Ryker said. “Oh no worries at all, once I’m done with this! It’ll be an upgrade!” Wretch said. “If only that monkey were still around, we could use a hand with this. Literally!” Ras said bursting out into laughter. Wretch was using Ras’s one hood arm to help him build prosthetics out of some element Wretch stole from the victorious humans and some scrap they found. “Excited to have two hands back Ras?” Killion asked. “Hand? Nah bro I’m getting a sawblade.” Ras said the last word in a voice trying to make it sound cooler. “I’ve told you already Ras, I don’t have a sawblade, or the necessary fuel for one to work.” Wretch said. “Ugh fine.. one day… do we got KNIVES?!” He asked. “How should I know?” Wretch said. Ras looked at him with a very serious face, “Imma find some knives..”
Salizar and Phasma decided to part ways, Phasma had a Cult to rule and Salizar had a plan to innact. Salizar had nothing to do until the humans prepared for the megapithicus fight, so he spent his days dodging the task force and Ryker’s crew. One knight though, Primalis was invited to dine with King Drake and his war counsel. ‘This should be interesting..’ he thought. He put on his dark blue cloak and left the task force’s impromptu base, he rode his thylacoleo through the redwoods, passed the plains, and up the giant vines which connected “mount Olympus” as the humans called it, to the ground below. He left his mount with a stable boy who began to pet the neglected steed, Primalis cared very little for anything or anyone who wasn’t himself. He walked up the staircases and through the halls, until he reached the throne room door, the base’s steward was sitting there, waiting to introduce Primalis to the King. They entered the room and the steward announced Primalis, inside the room was the regular throne room things, except a modest table had been set up against the throne, the king sat in his throne while his Barons and War chiefs sat in less luxurious chairs. There was a seat left open to Primalis, the only seat at the other side of the table from King Drake. “Welcome Doctor. Have a seat.” The King said. “I was very pleased to get your invitation my liege. I must ask, why dine here and not the royal dining hall?” Primalis said. “I’ll make the rules in my castle Primalis.” King Drake said. “Of course my lord.” Primalis said sitting down. He felt slightly uncomfortable, but it also felt right to him to be so close to the king. “I wish to congratulate you on helping us achieve victory against that beast, without you we would have never known the Obelisks held such power.” The King said. “I can’t take all the credit, your majesty led his troops through the portal, killed the arachnid and made it out alive.” Primalis said. Some of the generals seemed annoyed at his statement. “SILENCE! I’ve had enough of your groveling Primalis! You forget to mention my men who died in that battle! And your own taskforce! I’d like to see you find an artifact alone.” King Drake snapped. “But my lord, they only succeeded through my leadership!” Primalis said forgetting his place. The King was stunned by his insolence, “Oh really? Well, let’s see if you can lead by example, you’ll find the next artifact, alone, or die trying.”
