Origins of Salizar, Chapter 18: ~empty~

Salizar stood inside his old classroom in the facility, there was only a few lights still working and the room had clearly been repurposed as a dorm for the taskforce, it was dusty and there was evidence of creatures that had explored the abandoned outpost. “Memories..” he said grudgingly. “You shouldn’t suppress your memories Salizar.” Said a feminine voice. “Who’s there?!” Salizar whipped around and looked into the doorway, there she was, Dr. Flight. He rubbed his eyes but she was still in front of him, “Impossible! you’re dead!” Salizar said. “I am.” Flight said calmly. “Oh.. I see, you are only a figment of my imagination.” Salizar said. “What are you planning with the dragon Zar?” Flight said. “YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHY, STOP HAUNTING ME!” Salizar yelled. “How would I know, I’ve been dead after all.” She said, still in that calm sweet voice. “Fine! If you must make me spell it out! I’m going to kill all of your IMFERNAL SPECIES!” Salizar said. “Would you kill me?” She asked. “No- I-” he started. “Would you have killed Haze?” She asked. “No- maybe.. I- STOP!” Salizar yelled. “Who would you kill? Where does it end? You’ve already killed the Pandorans, who’s next? Your brother?” She asked. “He’s not my brother!” Salizar said. “If he’s not your brother what does that make me?” Flight asked. “You’re.. you’re my.. nothing. You are nothing.” Salizar said. “So you would?” She asked. “YES I WOULD KILL YOU!” He screamed. “Good, now at least you have chosen your path.” She said. He yelled in fury and threw his knives at her, they passed through her and stuck into the door, she faded and was gone. Salizar fell onto his knees and screamed into the sky.

Apex was soaring across the sky, he became hungry so he flew down to the ocean with a mighty roar of a yawn, he notice some unconscious or dead dilophosaurus which was odd but then again he didn’t know much about the world outside of his arena he glided down to the water and scooped up a megalodon, he flew off towards the forest. as he swallowed his meal he saw a mesopithicus. “Father?” He said to himself. He turned around and saw that it was not Salizar, and the creature was now running along with a brown Dodo, he was enraged with disappointment and started blasting fire, he soared towards the two terrified creatures and was intent on engulfing them in his red fire, but then he heard an alarming noise, even with his enhanced senses he could barely hear it, but he knew what it was. ‘Father!’ He thought, he forgot about roasting the two and started to fly towards the sound.

Salizar stood outside the facility, he felt, nothing. He heard Apex’s massive wings blowing the leaves of the redwoods as the dragon descended, but he ignored it, he just stood there. Apex landed and looked at Salizar, a bit worried. “Father?” He asked. Salizar slowly turned to look at the dragon, “Welcome to Pandora, we have work to do.”
