(Island, Mobile) I tend to get my oil from oily rocks up in the north, snowy, area on the very west side where there are icy islands in the water. The oily rocks are all over the icy islands! Hope this was helpful :)

to get oil over time, tame a dung beetle and put poop in its inventory. it'll turn it into oil as well as compost, and you'll get better results depending on the size of the poop.

On the island, somewhere near X 20, and Y 90 (south west corner of map) is a very shallow area where oil rocks spawn. It gives you a lot of oil for when you need gasoline, and there’s not any scary creatures around.

There are Quite a bit of oil veins on Fjordur, also the oil fields in the volcano island has a lot of oil rocks, otherwise look in ocean or get a Tuso. Up if helpful!

I tamed 5 female basilosaurus and a male, have them on breeding while on-line. I claim the babies and grow them out. I harvest about 3400 oil from each grown out adult. It’s brutal, but efficient.

If you give poop to the dung beetle, after some times it will give you compost as well as oil.

Kill basilosaurus= infinite oil

I got hunted down by the US because I had too much oil

For early game .. just tame Dung Beetles… at least 2 or 3 is enough… put in close area… give dino poop and some spoiled meat… make them wandering… and u will get oil.. at least 4 and also get fertilizer from poop that u give just know… save ur time and can gather oil to make jerky meat… u will get ton of fertilizer and not need to make fertilizer bin…

make a tek dino farm and make your tek Dino’s incest then kill the babies to get oil

Basilosaures gives up to 1500 oil with better Rates

Pretty sure in ark mobile (though it could work on regular ark) u can kill basilosaurus for hundreds of oil though beware of 🇺🇸🇺🇸🦅🦅
