ARK: Survival Evolved & Ascended Companion
Tips & Strategies
What are some Ascended & Evolved tips? Tips and strategies for ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
These guys seem useless at first, but are great tames! They’re found on two maps, in one biome for each map. They’re found on gen 2 and lost island, eden biome on gen 2 and on lost island, the grass platoi areas.
They lay eggs of different qualities, from basic to exceptional! This allows for great and easy taming! They are also the first genderless BUT breed-able creatures, thus being extremely unique! They are mammals, thus they breed with a gestation period after the breeding! They are great tames and can be used for many things! They are the fastest creature you can get on lost island, making it easy to get wyvern eggs if the wyverns are distracted! The taming is pretty simple thankfully! Best way to tame them, is by netting them and then building a trap around them, then nocking them out. They’re saddle is easy to craft and unlocked early, thus this can be a very good early tame! To end this of, I’d like to tell you all that this creature is based of a flying squirrel and a platypus! For now, hope your ride with the colony ship stays steady! And remember! Keep surviving! And for one of these touching on the other genesis creatures, just let me know, by taking this to ten ups!
Thanks for reading, survivors!
PICK IT UP WITH A MEGALOSAURUS AND TAME IT FROM THERE IT IS !) TIMES EASIER AS NO CAVE ANIMALS ATTACK IT!!!!!!

Some info-
Let's face it, they're the first flyer you tamed. High levels are the best to tame, as their stamina stat is trash and you can use the highest level of stamina you can get without leveling up. Might (or might not) be replaced by an Argy or Griffin (for fancy people).
Taming-
Super easy tames, a simple bola and tranq. Because of their tiny health pool I'd recommend tranq arrows and not a club or slingshot because, chances are, you'll just kill it before you knock it out. If you find a max level try to use kibble of raw prime, but normal meat works just as well. Even the lowest levels need a few narcotics, so bring some along no matter what level you're going after.
Saddling and stats-
Saddle requires fibre and hide (I think) as well as 75 keratin. Make sure to get the keratin before you can unlock the saddle. I know from personal experience that it sucks to unlock the saddle just to wait 10 in-game days for a turtle to spawn -_-
As for stats, they aren't too good. Low heath and stamina, although I personally only put points in stamina.
Hope this helped at least one person. If you liked or found this helpful, share it with friends!

If you see one of these they are calm just do not provoke them it's kind of like an iron golem from Minecraft except it is a four-legged giant adorable turtle monster if you see one look at it in a far distance and admire it from a distance okay but if you're like me I would attack it with my trike (warning: do not use small dinosaurs or weak levels use strong ones to attack this giant turtle or tame)
Spinos are really, REALLY, good. First, these things can switch between standing on 2 legs(allowing them to turn on the spot, and deal more damage, but be slower, even outdamaging a rex on 2 legs) and 4 legged mode(where they will do leas damage, but be way faster, and have a huge turning radios) you cannot use the 2 legged mode underwater, only on land, underwater u can only be with 4 legged mode. If a spino enteres water(a river, lake, inside an ocean, and so on) it will get a damage buff, health regen buff, and speed buf, making it a lot stronger. The buff is permanent as long as u at least touch the water, and lasts 30 seconds outside of it. The spino is very good at traveling, as most aggresive dinos(raptors, carnos, and so on) will become neutral towards you. The spino also has great speed on all 4, is quite slow on 2 legs, and is even faster with the water buff. It is also extremely powerful.mode. It also attacks faster than a rex. The spino also harvests a ton of meat and hide.
I hope these guys get a rework soon, the landing takes forever and you can't use anything else while using them, however if you need sap ASAP tame one, set on wander, and put it next to a tree in the Redwoods, they'll instantly climb up and overtime collect a good amount of it. If either you have the same opinion or find this helpful (or both), please up.
