Summer Drakeling = Aspect of Summer = +10% Movement Speed, 25% CC Reduction, cooks food and jerky

Autumn Drakeling = Aspect of Autumn = +5% Melee Damage, +15% Harvesting, harvest speed/amount boost for food items

Winter Drakeling = Aspect of Winter = +10% Damage Resistance, +100 Insulation, preserve food longer.

Spring Drakelings turn seeds into rare flowers. Pair with a Iguanadon and profit.

Just learned about this, dont sleep on these little critters, every drakeling has the ability to store xp from the player, upto I believe 30k. If you then take that stored xp and give it to a creature, the creature not only gains a ton of levels but you will also receive a new item called the dragon hoard, you use it like a treasure map, and the more xp you give to a creature at once the better the hoard will be. Im talking about massive massive payout. I've gotten kibble from every dragon hoard so far as well. Definitely worth having on your shoulder while out and about just for that.

Quick tip, go hunting for alphas. They definitely give the most stored xp to the drakeling. !!!

Summer drakelings will cook meat in your inventory. The others dont

From what I read, each variant can give different buffs and have different abilities;

I only tamed the The Winterly Drakeling so here’s what I learned with it:

It is found in the snow biomes.

It can slow your fall so you don’t take fall damage. (You can toggle it on or off).

It can give it’s winter buff to allies (10% damage increase and +100 insulation). It gives it to you when on your shoulder and buff your mount.

It has a blue breath attack, which can be used while in your hand or assist you when you’re fighting on your shoulder.

It accumulates xp and can give it to allies, including creatures.

To cycle between the breath attack, give buff or give xp, simply have it in your hand (like Cosmo it gives a weapon to equip on your hotbar) and press R, then right click on your target.

I’ll find the other variant and check out their abilities!

If you have any Heavy Miner’s Helmets just laying around, you can equip one to your Drakeling. When you equip the Drakeling to your hotbar and select it, you’ll have a flashlight that you can attack with. (Highly recommend having helmets with the highest durability possible to provide you and your Drakeling with light for as long as possible)

They nerfed spring drakelings so they won’t heal you when you are taking damage making them not nearly as good as they were.

Winter drakelings are fridges that you can pull from at any time while on your shoulder. Keep all your kibble on them along with algae and mutton and you will always have taming food ready when you need it. Shocking tranqs? Nope. Sad.

They spawn in valguero too dododex bug

The experience gain for Draconic knowledge caps at 200% when a drakeling reaches level 400.

Spring Drakeling buffs

Aspect Of Spring: +1% / +15 health regen, -10% stamina consumption

Native Biome Boost: +10% XP and +10% loot quality

Draconic Knowledge(if on your shoulder): "Drakelings store a percentage of experience while mounted. Can be used to boost another creatures experience, with higher value boosts also granting a 'Dragon Hoard Key'."

These creatures are must have, they store exp for you 30,000 max, and you get a dragon key which give you high level loot, I’ve gotten kibble, high level tek armor etc. I found that it’s easy to get most your exp from alphas ofc but killing dragons it will help you gain a lot !

For those looking for drakelings in Valguero the summer spawn at red woods or outside and winter spawns at snow biome and spring spawns where around or near the purple tree is and around green ob haven’t found autmn version

what hidden skill dose autum drakes do. since wither is fridge, summer is cooker, spring is flowers(cap 50). and any1 know any dino that produces rare mushrooms

Spring drakeling heal, shoulder or otherwise, is overpowered, can raise babies without food as it counteracts starvation ticks!

Can be used as sustain in longer fights just monitor health or armor

Can also help fight environment degeneration or starvation on yourself, basically can help you survive if not enough fortitude or insulation!

Hop on a pyromane and kill ice wyverns or fire wyverns for fast xp for chests. 30k is easy this way and safe and fast.

Loot is op

There are four variants of these, find them depending on the biome.

Easy tame, just hold out a torch and do what it says.

They eat meat as babies. Also, you can breed them even if they are not the same variant. (ex: summer with winter, spring with autumn, and go on)
