Utility Tips

What is a lymantria used for? lymantria battling strategies in ARK: Survival Evolved.
Me and my friend are plotting…
On scorched, he’s never had a wyvern before and so I (I’m quite experienced, not a brag but to set the scene) said: “hey, those moths slow you down, right? With their puff of fart whatever it is, right?” He said something like “yeah…” so I said, “so what if we got a flock of these on aggressive, got the egg and flew out through them on the way back to slow and distract the wyverns?” He said “Yeah,” then I said “and what if we use the calming scent of the pachyrhinosaurus to help against the wyverns?” He said “yeah!” So I said, “so should go tame them?”
Now it’s the only way he gets eggs- we’re 67 moths and 23 pachyrhinos strong and are improving
These are the friggin cutest thing ever (in my opinion) to tame and make little chirrup sounds so I would recommend just getting an army of them and putting them inside your personal base (not for Dinos) on a PVE or single player and just chill, very stress relieving to just have a bunch of cuddly moths around you for me. Helps me at least when stressed on ark, not being stressed helps a lot. Pretty random but idk
You know the guy who said it can be used as a lift truck.....
well he knows what he’s talking about. Only pump wieght and you are set to take all those materials out of the base you just raided and putting them in my vaults. 10/10 best cargo transport. Now I got weight mutations because of tlc3
You can use this big ass moth as a lift truck inside your base since it can fit through double doors and is very easy to manoeuvre in closed spaces, unlike the Ptera. You can easily move thousands of metal ingots from and Industrial Forge to a Fabri, or loads of stone from a Doed to a Chen bench, etc etc. Its starting weight is quite shitty but you can allocate every single level on it since it’s the only thing you need. This role works particularly well on unofficial servers in where the weight stat is boosted.
Sounds unlikely but quite true...I own a high level moth with beautiful scarlet wings. It was following me set to attack target when I encountered 3 raptors & a carno. While I was piking the rappies to death my lymantria actually killed that carno plus harvested its meat & hide. AWESOME little beast❗
Lymantria are great for scouting. When using an Argentavis or a Pteranodon, seeing things can be difficult because their head and wings get in the way. The Lymantria doesn't have this problem. If you want to scout for high level dinos or resources, I recommend it. Just be careful as it is very frail.
