The Isle Of The Griffins Chapter 23;

Or, The Copied Sneakpeek

Lolite struggled in his chains "what happened?" He asked.

"We were trying to work out. . . I can't remember" Goldenseal replied from somewhere in the darkness

"It would appear we have been subjected to some amnestic" the

crystal wyvern-rock drake said.

Suddenly a massive door swung open, flooding the dungeon with light,

And through the door walked a massive wyvern, or at least Lolite thought that it was a wyvern, its wing-membranes were all but gone, and the few pitiful scraps that remained were scorched and shedding flakes of what used to be skin, but was now more akin to charcoal;

Its tail was scorched totally black and filled with deep cracks, and was dragging rigidly on the ground behind the wyvern;

One of its lower legs was missing and replaced with a crudely welded on metal spike.

The wyvern was wearing metal plate armour over their head and shoulders, and through the single hole in their helmet, Lolite could see that the wyvern's bloodshot eye was clouded with ash and smoke, barely revealing a strangely misshaped pupil, finally, a majority of their lower jaw was lacking flesh, showing a burnt jawbone and a damaged row of sharp fangs.

Once he had come to the conclusion that, most likely, they would be trapped in the same way as him, since, if he were important enough to keep alive, surely all of them must be?

At this point, Blink's thought was interrupted rather suddenly by a massive creature exploding from the floor below him, showering him with reddish earth and pebbles, as the cloud of muck cleared, Blink saw a perfect,

three-dimensional, evidently alive representation of the snakes that had been drawn everywhere, though, it was almost less terrifying in person, courtesy of the shape of its mouth, which, unfortunately on any occasion the creature may wish to intimidate an opponent, looked exactly like that of a direwolf pup in a happy mood. A fact that caused Blink to blink, taking a fairly short ten seconds.

The creature, now that it was out of the ground, opened this remarkably unterrifying mouth, revealing long, hollow fangs filled with a pink substance, and began speaking.
