ARK: Survival Evolved & Ascended Companion
Tips & Strategies
What are some Ascended & Evolved tips? Tips and strategies for ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
Fun fact, archaeopteryx was very important for it was the creature that confirmed the theory of birds being linked to dinosaurs. 🙂
You can instantly summon them by not wanting them around
Hug the chicken
Trust me just hug it
Poetic wyvern information:
The wyvern is a lizard of the air,
To tame it's fury,
You must enter their burning lair,
It has three kinds: one's stormy one's toxic and one's fiery,
To enrage them is a deadly thought,
But if successful will not amount to nought,
If you find the glowing stone,
From Inside will come flesh and bone,
And lightning, venom, or fire,
But do not sink into the burning mire,
To get this treasure,
It does not bring pleasure,
It enjoys a nest of burning flame,
And milk of the beast from which it came,
But if you manage the impossible feat,
The wyverns's fury is now yours to tame,
If you hatch wings of thunder,
Your aim may often blunder,
But with its power,
It could topple the highest tower,
If you hatch wings of acid,
Your shot may miss,
But after that the air is no longer placid,
If you hatch wings of fire,
Your range is weak,
But your power is dire,
Name changing ticket actually works
These things are a GODSEND for water exploration! Their saddle is expensive but while riding it YOU DON’T NEED AN OXYGEN TANK. Other than the Grand Tortugar (Astraeos exclusive) this is the ONLY TAME THAT HAS THIS. They are also COMPLETELY IMMUNE TO JELLYFISH AND GAIN DAMAGE BUFFS WHEN THEY KILL ONE! Absolutely Goated tame!
Crack crack crack… what was that? Well if looks could kill you would have died right there and then, This is the Carcharodontasaurus! Wanna tame one yourself? Where to find some? Or maybe how to defend yourself? All of those will be answered in one massive tip! So let’s jump in!
So where would you find one? They have the same spawn points as gigas, so if you want to find eithor of these apex predators that’s where you have the best chance of finding them. (Do note that they are a rare spawn)
How would you defend yourself? If you don’t have a flying tame next to you, then you can consider yourself very very dead. Other than that Carcharodontasaurus have a gnash defect they can inflict, very similar to that of a Giga.
Alright and that leaves us with how tame one, starting with all the supplies you will need: a tribe mate, a wyvern, 5-9 metal gateways, a simple bed and foundation, some large beartraps, and loads of patience. Start by finding one, fly a decent 150 meters away from it, (to avoid grabbing its attention while making the trap) and place the metal gateways in a circle, while leaving a opening. (Try not to make the circle to small because the Carcharodontasaurus HAS to move or the taming process will break) now that the cage is set, place the beartraps in the middle of the trap. The hard part is getting the Carcharodontasaurus into the trap. Use the wyvern to grab the Dino’s attention and lure it to the trap, and right when it enters and hits a trap, you run behind it and place the final gateways insuring the Dino stays in. Have your tribe mate watch the Carcharodontasaurus, while you grab the wyvern and grab large dinos, or vise versa, and bring them back to the enclosure, have your tribe mate kill it, while you grab more (keep doing this until you have a pile of dead things). So now your ready for the grueling taming process: have your tribemate drag dead animals to you, while you (hopefully having armor on) drag it and hold it near the Carcharodontasaurus, (the Carcharodontasaurus should sniff the air, and walk towards you, reach down and eat the corpse) after eating the corpse you gain a friendship meter, (this is a good thing) however you have to be quick, with haste continue dragging Dead Dino’s to the Carcharodontasaurus, and when the friendship meter is completely full, break down the side of the trap, and ride the Carcharodontasaurus. It is not tamed yet, but this is the last step and it’s the easiest: Go on the worlds bloodiest merciless dino massecre you possibly can. Eventually after eating and killing enough Dino’s the Carcharodontasaurus will have full taming effectiveness and then you have your very own Carcharodontasaurus! :D
Thx for reading! :D
DO NOT TAME
these are temporary tamed they only stay tamed for 30 minutes then abracadabra... POOF. They’re gone just like my friends
Utility Roles for Carbonemys:
1. Tank. A very bulky dino for early game, due to their easy taming method they are worth taming just for their bulk alone. They take reduced damage everywhere but their head. Unfortunately, are outclassed by the Trike later on. (level Health)
2. Early game water mount. Their saddle is relatively inexpensive to craft, and they are significantly faster in water. Plus, no Oxygen stat means you can have access to local waterways around your base. Just don't try traversing the ocean...(level Health, Stamina, and Movement Speed)
3. Scout (if you want). They are slow, even while sprinting, but their bulk is good for any scouting missions you want to do in the early game. (level Stamina and Movement Speed)
4. Kibble Maker. Their eggs are classed as Medium, and they lay at a decent rate. Great for Regular Kibble!
My name is ShinyChimchar01 and if you like this tip, I've done similar tips on the Trike, Raptor, and Parasaur and my next tip is on the Lystrosaurus!
Idk why everyone makes this so complicated with all the grappling stuff all you have to do is,
1. Get or use a tapejara that’s a low level with a couple levels into movement speed
2. Get a rifle or crossbow with either darts or tranqs
3. Find a quetzal and then go to the back of your tapejara and set to attack the quetzal
(Since quetzals have high health and ur using a low level tapejara you can actually leave the tapejara to attack the quetzal, it’ll be fine)
4. Knock It out, not over water, and put whatever you want into it and ban you have a quetzal
Btw, you don’t need to worry about the tapejara’s stamina, it doesn’t decrease while you sit in the back seat
Unicorn: * poops rainbow poop *
Dung beetle: ILL TAKE YOUR ENTIRE STOCK

A cat in Astraeos
CHAPTER 1: THE KITTEN:
June 17, year 5000:
That day a very special cat was born. But it didn't know it was special yet. It would be a while before it found out. Right now it was just a kitten. It didn't have a name because wild cats dont give their young names. But it probably didn't even have a mother. Cats usually just show up on the Ark like all other wild creatures. But something very special was about to happen to the little cat...
A few days later...
That evening it rained and thundered. The little kitten wasn't very happy about the rain and climbed up a tree. It sat close to the trunk of the tree on a large branch. After it had been sitting there for quite a while, it suddenly stopped raining. It was still thundering a little, but at least it wasn't raining. The little kitten crawled out just as quietly towards the tip of the branch. When it had crawled a little, it was no longer in shelter. It looked up at the sky and at the same time a huge red lighting struck the branch so that it broke and the kitten fell to the ground.

The smithy gives you a stack of 2 cannon balls after you craft it even though the max stack of cannon balls is one so you need to seperate them by either dropping and picking them up or manually transferring one at a time to an inventory
If you didn't know this and are traveling with 15 stacks of 2 cannonballs and you reload your game... 🥶 you just lost 15 cannonballs as the game will automatically set the 15 stacks of 2 cannonballs into 15 stacks of one cannonball.
If you find a level 5 one of these and gonna tame make sure you have 2 prime meat if it's normal all settings is normal and prime meat gives it 50% taming thing
They are pescatarians so they only eat fish
You don't find them, they find you.
