Chapter three.

Once Aaron left the Petersons spent all the rest of their time unboxing the stuff they needed that night. “Daddy? Where is my teddy bear??” Josephina wailed sleepily, tugging on Aragorn’s arm. “I don’t know…” Aragorn began. “But I can’t sleep without it!” Josephina cried. Aragorn shot a look at his wife. Arianna came over and scooped Josephina up in her arms. “Hush child, it’s gonna be okay.” She said sweetly. Josephina buried his head in her shoulder, sobbing. “Emma can you get Jaquin?” Arianna asked. Emma nodded, then gingerly picked up her sleeping brother. They walked down the hall to the back rooms. Emma placed Jaquin on his sleeping bag in his room that he would share with Jack and Jay while Arianna took Josephina to her room that she would share with Jack and Jay. Arianna put the little girl on her sleeping bag and as she stroked Josephina’s back comfortingly she began to sing:

“Hush a bye, don’t you cry, go to sleep my little baby. When you wake, you will have all the pretty little ponies. Black and bays. Dapples and greys. Dancing through the sky. She ended on that note because Josephina had fallen asleep. Arianna tucked Josephina’s blanket around Josephina and kissed her on the forehead. Then she headed down the hall to the living room/dining room. Aragorn, Emma, Jack and Jay sat around the fireplace. “Okay kids time for bed. “Tomorrow is a big day.” Arianna said.
