The Omega Timeline Chapter Six: Paradox Event Part Two
A hand raised up into the air from the bushes in front of them and went to go investigate. There on the ground was a woman in partial fur and partial desert gear with blonde hair and blue eyes. Andrew immediately recognized her as Freya.
“Are you okay Freya?” Andrew asked in vein, he couldn’t understand anything she said so far.
“Ja, ja. Jeg har det bra. Men hvor are we? And where’s camp?” Freya said,
“I’m not sure where camp is, but we’re…” Andrew said before he paused, “Freya, what did you say?” Andrew asked.
“I said I’m fine, but where are we and where’s camp? Why are you wondering, you can’t understand what I’m saying?” Freya said in perfect English. Andrew’s eyes widened and mouth dropped.
“Freya, you’re speaking English!” Andrew said in excitement, Freya gave him a concerned yet confused look.
“Andrew, are you okay? Because I don’t speak English. How many fingers am I holding up?” Freya asked as she held up two fingers.
“I’m fine Freya. But YOUR SPEAKING ENGLISH!!! Sylas, back me up!!” Andrew said, Freya turned to Sylas. He seemed very confused.
“Sylas, I think you need to help Andrew sit down. He’s acting very strange.” She said to him, but Sylas eyes went wide.
“No he’s right!! Your lips are moving with your voice now!! Your speaking English!!” Sylas said excitedly.
“What?!” Freya said.
As they discussed this for a moment, Erica came back running up in a panic. Her face was white and she was breathing heavily.
“Erica, what’s wrong?” Freya asked.
“Good to see you Freya, but you three have to see this.” Erica said. The three nodded and followed her as she ran. They followed her to the edge of Sanctuary. Andrew went in awe to what he saw, and the other’s followed suit. They saw the wasteland and the Proto Arks, but beyond that everything else was different. They saw a city behind the desert dome and floating islands where the crater was.
“Where, are we?” Sylas asked.
“I… I don’t know.” Andrew said.
“What do we do though?” Erica asked, Andrew looked at her and he thought for a moment.
“I think we first need to find answers.” Andrew said,
“But where will we get these answers?” Freya asked.
“I have a strong feeling that we will get our answers there.” Andrew said pointing to the flourishing city.
“That seems like a pretty far distant.” Sylas said,
“It sure does, but I think that’s where we’ll get our answers.” Andrew said. And he started walking in that direction.
“Do we follow him?” Sylas asked,
“I don’t think we have a choice, we don’t know where Paul is and Andrew has the most survival experience out of all of us in this environment.” Freya said.
“Freya’s right, but I also think Andrew’s right. I feel that we’ll get our answer from there.” Erica said before running after Andrew. Freya followed after. Sylas stood there in udder confusion.
“Is nobody going to talk about the fact that there was a TALKING MONKEY!! Or how Freya can speak English now, and that the scenery around here changed!!!” Sylas yelled to himself. He groaned after realizing no one heard him and ran off after the others.

Andrew woke up somewhere in Sanctuary. His head throbbed and his vision slightly blurred. He slowly sat up using his hand to hold him up. He looked around his surroundings and saw he was on the east side of Sanctuary, near the obelisk. He could remember everything that happened up to an unknown period in time. He had a slight recollection of coming across four, maybe six people with strange objects in their left wrists who called themselves ‘Survivors’ but couldn’t remember much besides that. He heard a groan from behind him and looked. One of them was further behind him and was beginning to sit up. She was young, around the same age as him around her early twenties with jet black hair wearing some sort of desert gear. He slowly got up and walked over to her. When he saw her face, he remembered what name she gave him. Erica Stevens.
“You okay Erica?” Andrew asked, Erica looked up at him and seemed to be surprised to see him. She wiped her eyes with her other hand and looked back at him.
“Oh, Hi… Andrew isn’t it?” She said puzzled, Andrew nodded in confirmation. He reached his hand out to help her up. She grabbed it and Andrew pulled her up.
“Do you know what happened? Why we we’re on the ground and where the other’s are at?” Erica asked him.
“I don’t, I was about to ask you the same thing.” He said, she immediately started walking away and began shouting for the other’s
“Freya!!”
“Sylas!!!!”
“Paul!!! Anyone!!!”
“Erica, calm down. We don’t need to attract unwanted attention. ” Andrew said quietly realizing they were still in a dangerous area, whether or not it was Sanctuary. He quickly looked down at his belt and check for weapons in him. His Tek knife and bow were both there. He sighed in relief to see that. But Erica ignored him and started shouting louder in panic.
“Freya!!!”
“Paul Ridley!!!”
“Sylas Fennec-”
“Can you please stop yelling my name!! I’m trying to sleep!!!” A muffled male voice shouted from a distance behind them. Erica started running towards where it came from, Andrew ran after her.
A few moments later, both stumbled across a short man with red curly hair in the same style gear as Erica. His face was planted straight in the ground and he was in a dead man position. He was breathing though, and his right hand twitched. Erica sighed in relief. Andrew slowly recognized the man they were standing above. A man named Sylas Fennec.
“Fennec!! Are you okay?” Erica asked,
“Go away Erica!! I’m trying to sleep!” Sylas whined.
“Sylas, get up!!! Something happened!!” Erica said in irritation. Sylas lifted his head up and looked around, he sat there confused for a moment. Then he he looked over his shoulder to Erica.
“Uh, Where’s camp?” Sylas asked,
“We don’t know, but we need to find the others.” Erica said. Erica helped Sylas get up and he looked over at Andrew and nodded.
“Well, it looks like you found one of them. Good to see you again Capt. Roger’s.” Sylas joked while smiling. Andrew chuckled at the joke.
“Good to see you to Sylas.” He replied,
“We need to find the others.” Erica repeated.
“And we’re going to do that. Bu-” But Erica ran off in a direction starting to yell names again. Sylas walked next to Andrew.
“Is she always like this?” Andrew asked,
“Pretty much. The only person she listens to is Paul.” Sylas said nodding his head.
“Well we better catch up with her before we loose sight of her.” Andrew said.
Andrew and Sylas began to run after her, but Sylas tripped over a root and fell to the ground in the path of a Mesopithecus.
“Hey!! I’m Walkin’ Here!!!” The little monkey said before kicking Sylas in the back of the head and running away into the brush. Both Andrew and Sylas mouths’ were wide open in awe.
“I’m sorry, did that monkey just speak?” Andrew asked in shock.
“That monkey just spoke.” Sylas said in awe.
“We need to find get to Erica, NOW.” Andrew said, Andrew helped up Sylas. As he helped him up, they heard a groan coming from the brush around them.
“What was that?” Sylas asked quietly,
“I’m not sure…” Andrew said, “Anyone out there?” He shouted.

Chapter 3: Dream Come True - by Ben
Part 2/2
“Andd we’re down!” Ruby replied. She let go of Neddy’s clammy hand. Neddy let out a sigh of relief, sitting down on the first step of the stairs.
“That was scary. Heights… BRRRR,” Neddy shivered. He rubbed his hands together, when suddenly his implant glowed again.
“Huh? That’s weird.”
Neddy looked up to see a group of five walking toward them. Or perhaps, walking toward the stairs? There was a mean looking man, a sweet-looking lady, two teenagers who looked like twins, and a woman with dark red hair. They all looked like they had just arrived from a ball, and each one (except the sweet-looking lady) wore a medallion around their neck. The mean one and the sweet one were holding hands, and the twins seemed to be squabbling.
“Um, why are they walking toward us?” Neddy murmured. He slowly stood up, his hands by his side. As Ruby spotted the dark red hair girl, her eyes sparkled.
“OMG, Neddy, look at her hair! It’s red like mine,” Ruby purred, playing with her ponytail that had red streaks in her black hair. She raised a hand and waved at them.
“Girl, your hair is SO pretty!” Ruby called out with a smile.
Now all their attention seemed to be toward them.
The mean looking one raised his eyebrow, holding onto the sweet lady’s hand tighter. His other hand clenched into a fist, and Neddy looked at it with a gulp.
“Uhh, Ruby? Can you please stop waving?”
“I think you made that guy mad.”

Chapter 2: strange new world
-by Wyvernain
Sheeri woke up with a start. She looked around her, the grass and foliage were purple but the trees were cyan willows. “Whe- where am I..” the ice wyvern asked rhetorically. “Home..” another voice said, her tone was very solemn. Sheeri looked to where she heard the voice, it was a pale purple and emerald green feathered rockdrake. “I’ve never been here before.” Sheeri said. “I have.. it is- was.. my home.” The drake said. “What happened?” Sheeri asked. The rock drake was about to speak when they heard another voice, “Oi.. what’s this?” The voice said. They both looked around and saw a managarmr. “NOVA!?” Sheeri said. “Sheeri? What is this place? Who’s this?” Nova asked confused. “I’m Genera- well, I’m not a General anymore.. my names Emerald.” The drake said. “Pleasure to meet ya.” Nova said. “what were you saying about this place Emerald?” Sheeri asked. “It was my home, the floating isle. But- it can’t be, Pandora’s gone..” Emerald said. “PANDORA?!” The other two said at once. “You’ve heard of it?” Emerald asked. “Ya, two birds came and said they were from around here, they saved the whole ark. they saved me…” Sheeri said. “I think I know who your talking about, but what about the others.. Nevermind, we need to worry about us right now, maybe some of my people are here too. We should try and find them.” Emerald said.
They searched and searched but it seemed the place was empty. “Maybe they’re in the caves.” Emerald suggested. they followed her to the cave entrance. The cave was dark, but Emerald had amazing night vision and led the way. They were walking through the caverns talking when they heard a noise, it sounded like a cough. They hurried towards it hoping that they just found someone else, they turned the corner into a strange room, Sheeri screamed at the sight. It was a dimly torchlit room, with empty bookshelves, it smelled old. And two bodies were lying on the floor, Dead. one was a desmodus and one was a featherless, jet black rockdrake. “Darkhide…” Emerald said vengefully. “You knew him?” Nova asked. “He was a traitor to my people.” Emerald said. “And the other guy?” Sheeri asked. “Never seen him.” Emerald said. Darkhide’s corpse started to glow a faint cyan color. The color returned to his face and he took in a huge gasping breath, then he slowly got up. He looked bewildered. “Traitorous scum?” Emerald asked cautiously, half expecting a zombie situation. “Ge- general Emerald?” He said in his deep voice. “You died…” Emerald said. “Yes- yes I did.. thanks to Salizar.. and you…” he said grudgingly. “You were a traitor!” She said angrily. “I WAS A HELPLESS PRISONER! And you didn't even give me the proper medical attention!” He said angrily, “You let me die!!” He roared. “Everyone calm down!” Nova said, “I don’t give a procoptodons furry- (Sheeri cleared her throat) about your old rivalry! We need to figure out what’s going on. Together.” She said. “FINE!” They both yelled turning their heads away from eachother. “What about him.. you think he’ll come back too?” Sheeri asked. The desmodus shot up screaming, he was in a cold sweat. And his pupils were dilated as small as they could be. He just sat there panting. “What’s wrong with him..” Emerald asked. “I take it we both died. perhaps his death was more shocking and traumatic than mine.” Darkhide said. Darkhide was right, in Drains brain he was just re-living his death over and over, one moment he was attacking a kairuku and then he heard an explosion, he looked up and saw a massive stalagmite falling towards him, then a flash of light. And then it repeated again, and again. The others tried to snap him out of it but nothing worked. Emerald told Darkhide to carry the bat, and they went back the way they came. They didn’t know where to go but they felt a strong instinct urging them to go in a certain direction, they eventually reached the edge of the floating isle and looked out. “This is definitely not Pandora..” Emerald said. It certainly wasn’t. It was huge, they could see at least seven obelisks glowing several different colors, the terrain was very random, almost like it was a puzzle put back together wrong. It made so little sense that there was a frozen tundra right next to a desert! They took it all in, completely amazed. A little ways down from the isle they saw a very odd city, it’s buildings did not match at all, the architecture was completely different no matter where you looked, some where modern, some where ancient, there was even an elementary school, and around it was a bunch of huts and a colloseum. But what they all fixed their gaze on was the building in the center. (Except Drain, he was still staring off into nothing reliving his end.) the building was a huge mansion, elegant and beautiful. But it was floating… they felt so drawn to in that they knew they had to go, so they leapt off the floating island and flew, or glided, down towards it.
The Omega Timeline Chapter 37: Training and Hate
Andrew, Freya, Aurora, and Skyocean were patrolling the streets through the city. There were many entrances into the city, too many. Freya suggested that they first continue working on their combat skills on the edge of the city closest to the Dark Obelisk. And Andrew agreed. Freya found a few wooden mannequins in an abandoned shop for ranged weapons. Skyocean went off getting recourses to craft several bows for practicing with while Andrew and the others were working on melee and hand to hand combat until everyone’s bows were ready. Aurora and Freya started with hand to hand and let Andrew watch. Freya was starting on her easy and working her way with Aurora to more difficult fighting tactics. Even still, it seemed that Aurora was struggling against proper tactics. Freya swung and avoided Aurora’s block, hitting Aurora in the gut. Aurora fell to the ground from the hit and groaned as she laid there. Freya walked over her and held out her hand to to help. Aurora looked at her hand and grabbed it. As she helped Aurora up, Freya smiled and patted her on the shoulder.
“You did very well this time! You’re a fast learner.” Freya said proudly to Aurora, Aurora looked at her with irritation and dissatisfaction and Freya took notice of this.
“What’s troubling you? If it’s about your combat skills, you’re doing exceptionally well for a beginner. A few more sparing exercises and we’ll move on to knives and swords.” Freya said,
“Why don’t we just skip to the weapons we’re used to? It’s seems like a waste of time to starting at basics and going through each weapon.” Aurora said. Freya chuckled and gave a smile to Aurora.
“If you want to just learn the weapon of your choice instead of a variety, that’s fine. But you have to learn how to fight with your hands before that.” Freya said smiling.
“But why, why learn how to fight with our fists when I can know how to fight with something I already know and get exceptionally good at.” Aurora said, Freya chuckled to herself, she looked over at Andrew who was holding Aurora’s spear.
“Andrew, could you please hand Aurora her spear. We’re going to try hand to melee combat.” Freya said
“Are you sure? Isn’t that a bit unfair?” Aurora said,
“Unfair for who?” Andrew said, Freya laughed at this and looked at Aurora with a soft smile.
“I’ll be okay Aurora, just do your hardest to win.” Freya said, Aurora nodded and turned and grabbed the spear from Andrew.
“So how are we going to do this?” Aurora said, no answer.
“Freya?” Aurora said as she turned around. Freya was gone. “Where did she go?”
“Looks like she started.” Andrew said,
“She started? So her tactic is to run?”
“Oh no, her tactic is to hunt you.” Andrew answer.
“What?”
“She’s killed armed men with her bare hands. Right now, this sparing match isn’t even any effort for her.” Andrew said. Aurora’s heart pounded as he said this, she looked around ahead of her frantically. All she could see were unused buildings and small alleys. She took a few steps forward to get better view around the corners. But she didn’t anything.
‘She could be anywhere.’ Aurora thought panicking. She walked cautiously ahead looking down the alleys and buildings. As she walked, Aurora thought what could be a possibility of attack.
‘Where would she strike from, from the front? She would, but for training? No. The sides, more likely but probably not. From be-’ Aurora paused in thought, and almost immediately she turned and swung her spear around. But the spear stopped half way through, Freya blocked the incoming spear using her forearm across the neck of the spear.
“First rule of fighting or coming into a fight, check all of your surroundings. I had plenty of time to take you out if I wanted to. You should know all your surroundings as you move and while you’re fighting. Not just only what’s in front of you.” Freya said. She pushed the spear away from her and raised her fists.
“Continue.”
Aurora readied herself began slashing the spear ant Freya who backed up each time out of the spear’s range. Aurora after seeing this thrusted the spear at Freya, Freya grabbed the neck again and snapped the head off with ease. Aurora was left with a large, broken stick, but she planned on using it. Aurora started swinging it like a bat and rushing Freya. Freya backed up as Aurora rushed swinging the broken spear until Freya grabbed it again and held it in place. Aurora tried pushing it through further, but failed, she tried yanking it out of her grip but again failed. She tried to flail it out, but Freya was much stronger than she looked and held her side in place. Freya yanked on the spear and it flew out of Aurora’s hands. Freya dropped the spear and raised her hands up, ready to fight Aurora. Aurora readied herself and began swinging at her as strategically as possible, each getting quickly blocked by Freya. Aurora swung another punch and Freya blocked and this time returned the favor with a quick shot to the shoulder. Aurora grimaced in pain as she swung her other arm, again getting blocked and Aurora receiving a hit to the ribs. Aurora continued fighting and swinging hard. But with each swing she threw, she was blocked and struck by Freya in the chest or ribs. With another hit to the ribs, Aurora seemed to leave her body. Loosing all her gumption to fight harder and continue on. Aurora attempted to block and watched as Freya threw one more punch into the gut, and with that Aurora dropped.
“Oh my, I’m so sorry. I probably shouldn’t have done that at the end. I’m really sorry for that!!” Freya said genuinely as she went down to help Aurora back up. Aurora groaned and looked at her.
“You did good for a beginner, but do you see why I am training you in hand to hand now. It’s necessary if someone overpowers your weapon from you. And we all aren’t equal in fighting here either. That means neither will our enemies, so if anything I want my allies and friends to be much better at fighting than our enemies.” Freya said, Aurora nodded.
“You could’ve pulled your punches at least.” Aurora said wincing, Freya chuckled.
“I was.” Freya answered, Aurora groaned.
“Here we’ll be done and just patrol the streets for now on.” Freya said, “No, just give me a few minutes to recover and I’ll practice some more.” Aurora said wincing.
“You want to continue?” Freya said,
“I don’t give up on something that easy. And besides, if anyone fights half as good as you. I’ll need the practice to keep up against them.” Aurora said, Freya smiled and helped her up. Andrew ran over and helped her to a spot to sit down at. Once she was in a comfortable spot Freya looked over at Andrew and smirked.
“Do you want a rematch from what happened last time?” Freya said, Andrew chuckled.
“I wouldn’t mind, but I’m not taking the armor off this time.” Andrew said,
“I wasn’t asking you to. And I’m not going to go easy on you.” She said raising her fists. Andrew raised his and smiled.
“I wouldn’t want you to.” And they began to spar with Aurora watching who would win. With the outcome being a clear victor.

All the villains looked in amazement at the thrones, but Dr. Bubba and Pat were having a private discussion on a different matter. Those dastardly characters from before.
“If they went back to those other Villains and especially Sylveevee. They’ll be ready for us. And maybe even have gotten others to aid them. We need to bring in more.” Dr. Bubba said,
“More what?” Pat asked.
“More of us, more of them.” Bubba said pointing to all the other villains. “We need to bring more in to gain the element of surprise and gain favor.” Bubba said.
“But that will take time, time we don’t have.” Pat said, Bubba nodded and looked back to the terminal.
“The last time we brought in others, the time drastically decreased when Jethezzar and Milo fought each other. Anger and hate seem to accelerate the process of abstraction.”
“So then, do you want me to start a fight with someone. That new kid is right for a fight.” Pat said pointing to Samuel, but Bubba shook his head.
“No, no, I doubt we’ll even need to rig a fight to happen. One will most likely happen soon anyway with how everyone is with one another. So all we have to do, is wait by the terminal for an argument or fight to occur and hope the fight or argument will last long enough to abstract them in.” Bubba said, Pat nodded and they went towards the terminal to wait. What they didn’t know was that someone else had listened in on their conversation.
After a few moments and Bubba and Pat finally got to the terminal, a commotion erupted and everyone’s attention turned to The King Titan and Sig.
“I have had enough of you, you insufferable vermin. I’m gonna-”
“What’s going on here?” Apex said, The King Titan turned with his eyes full of fury and his arms pulsing a dull magenta glow.
“This, vile creature has been harassing me ever since I came here. I have held my patience, but I am done!!” He said with rage, Apex turned to Sig who merely smiled.
‘Can I help that he’s so tiny that I could just tear him apart limb from limb and enjoy his flesh?’ Sig implanted, still smiling.
* * * *
While this happened, Dr. Bubba and Pat accessed the terminal and had selected their abstracts to enter.
“Is that all we need.” Pat said,
“I think these four will be enough to make sure we have enough to defeat them.” Bubba said as he pressed the button
“Total Time For Abstraction of ROTP, Fjordur, TAOH and PC Villains: 58 Ho- 57 Hours” The terminal said,
“Now let’s just hope this argument can shorten it enough for these four to be useful for us.” Bubba said, Pat nodded.
* * * *
“That’s it!! You are dying as the abomination YOU ARE!!!”
“Calm down and get ahold of yourself!!” Apex said
“You don’t tell me what to do or when to calm down boy. I am The King Titan, I have conquered millions and destroyed billions. I have turned Terra into my own liking. And I will not be told what to do by anyone. You or otherwise.” The King Titan bellowed.
“There’s just one problem with that. I am much larger than you. If you don’t listen to me and stop, I will make you stop.” Apex said, the Titan’s right arm began to glow.
“Even with my degraded size, I could take you on easily. And in my true form, I would squash you like nothing.” The King Titan said,
“Then try.” Apex said. The King Titan started walking towards him with anger in his eyes.
‘He’s going to kill me!! If I want to live, I have to kill him before he kills me.’ A thought ran through Apex’s mind. The King Titan got closer and closer, and Apex continued to have thoughts of killing him run through his head but they all felt off, like not his own.
‘What are you waiting for!! KILL HIM!!!’ Apex took in a deep breath. The King Titan stopped and raised his head to Apex’s.
“If I wanted to kill you, you’d already be-” The King Titan let out a agonizing roar as Apex lit him on fire with his breath. Sig watched in enjoyment as the King Titan roared as all the flames engulfed him. Apex turned around from his work.
“He should have never threatened me, he should have just-” Apex was abruptly launched across the room, hitting the wall on the other side of large room. The King Titan emerged from the flames, his body glowing with magenta like string lights strung across him, his eyes glowed magenta and burned with rage and his arm pulsing even brighter than before. He walked over to the dazed Apex and grabbed him by the horn and lifted his head up to his eye level. Apex screeched in pain as the the King Titan’s hand began burning him as he held his horn.
“Is that… the best you can do!!!” The King Titan bellowed huffing with heat and rage, “Well… let me show you the best I can do!!!” He continued, he raised his fist in the air and it began pulsing faster and faster. Purple and Magenta electricity began to emit from it. He jerked up as though he was getting ready to throw down his punch.
“Enough of this!!!” Jethezzar interjected, the King Titan stopped and lowered his fist. His arm lost both its pulsing and electricity as he did so.
“This whole argument and fight over what?! Name calling and both of you throwing your weight around. All it seems you two have done is waste everyone’s time and both of you wasting your energy. If you two can’t get along, deal with it until we defeat the others. Then you two will never have to cross paths again after that.” Jethezzar exclaimed aloud. If was any other time, he would’ve left with to kill each other. But both were strong and they would need them for their fight to come.
The King Titan dropped Apex’s head and looked down upon him. He snorted with literal smoke coming from his nostrils. And he stomped off. As he stomped off, he glared off over at Sig who was smiling gleefully at the entire event. She was sad no one died in the fight and upset that the wyvern stopped the tiny one from killing the large one. But she was happy with what she done. Her plan had worked wonderfully, she manipulated them to fight and to argue and hopefully helped those two humans bring in others. She stared off at the two humans by the terminal who seemed excited by something. Which made her smile even more.
‘The more of us who fight in this battle, the more for me to end and tear apart.’ She thought to herself, smiling with excitement.
* * * *
Bubba and Pat were ecstatic with what happened, Bubba’s theory was correct. The fight and arguing brought down the abstraction time to 60 minutes. Now all they could do was hope Jethezzar would wait that long or longer to attack the ‘true’ villains.
The Omega Timeline
Chapter 34: Unrepentant - by Ben
“So. Basically what you’re saying is that all of us here were transported to this strange land…” Snake said, scratching her chin with a talon, “And a bunch of creatures and humans alike are banding together to try to take over the… what is it called? ‘City’, we’re in. Seems kind of silly me to me~”
“I know it does, but we’re kind of in a sticky situation. We ourselves don’t know how to get out of this place, and if we can’t get out, then those bad guys are probably gonna kill us,” Ruby replied.
“So you brought- brought US in to help you?!” Tago stammered.
“I mean… Not really. That obelisk did it on its own accord,” Aragorn said gruffly, nodding his head at the white obelisk. The abstracted creatures turned around in awe at the thing.
“If we really have to fight some creatures to get home, then so be it,” Rage said, barring her fangs, “Although how do we know you’re not trying to trick us, human? You somehow can communicate with us.”
Rage began to walk up to Syl, and she stood her ground and clenched her fists.
“Now’s not the time to think about it. If you really want to see you can go out of this cave and see for yourselves. There’s some crazy fire wyvern out there named Jethezzar who’s teamed up with a desmodus and a terror bird and are bringing in their own army to conquer this city.”
Tago flinched at the name of the wyvern, and turned away, tucking her tail in. Rage licked his lips and turned away, swishing his tail back and forth and through the humans.
“Fine. We’ll work together, I suppose.”
The two shadowmanes, Moonbeam and Orbit, were at the corner of the cave, staring off at Emerald and Darkhide carefully. Darkhide took a quick glance at the two, and scurried away. They seemed unusually close.
“Hey, you two over there! Something the matter? Or are you just enjoying each other’s comfort- Tee hee-” Snake giggled. Nova took her claw and whacked Snake upside the head.
“Hey!”
“Don’t bother them. Some of us have died in our past lives. They may have suffered the same fate,” Nova scolded her.
“Oh.”
Dr. Yang was sitting on the floor with Steve, who was on his shoulder. He looked on at the incoming creatures, and then scratched his wrist.
“I’m not sure about you, but I don’t think sitting around is a good idea. They could come at any moment. We need a game plan to drive them out.”
Steve suddenly scurried off Dr. Yang’s shoulder, and pointed his finger in the air.
“Leave it to me then!”
“What?”
Andrew stepped forward, and all eyes immediately turned to him. The original plan maker, everyone had confided their trust in him, but it didn’t exactly turn out so well.
“I have an idea.”
“Does it involve splitting up? Because I don’t want to split up again,” Buddy muttered, nodding his head at the fellow creatures, “It was a nightmare going with these knuckleheads.”
“Hey, I’m not a knucklehead!” Steve protested.
“Splitting up last time was a bad idea,” Andrew suggested, “Well, it seemed good at the time. We had no ways to trust each other. But our lives are on the line right now. We really need to work together and come up with a plan we can stick through or else they’ll tear us apart.”
“So. What are we going to do then?” Aurora asked softly. Star was sitting next to her. After Samuel’s betrayal, she had seemed oddly more quiet than usual.
“We need to take a defensive approach,” Andrew said, “Last time we all went on the offense… Each and every one of us that went there were defeated. So we have to take a defense.”
“But if we all go at the same time there’s no way we could be defeated,” Sheeri said, “We have two wyverns, a bunch of creatures, and…”
“They might have brought in even more forces though. We can’t know for sure who, but they’ve gotta be strong,” Andrew rebutted.
“So… why don’t WE just bring in strong creatures?” Rage asked, flicking her tongue.
“It’s not that simple. It takes time to abstract people. When I went there, there was a countdown for one of the bad guys being abstracted,” Syl explained, “I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty sure it takes a while to abstract strong creatures.”
“So that’s how we can count on the fact they don’t just bring in more creatures,” Freya realized.
“If all of us stay here, who’s gonna defend the city? Neddy, Ruby, and Sylas were almost killed when all four of us fought the humans. We can’t have accidents like that happening again,” Erica argued. She seemed to be very keen on leaving some behind in the safety of the mansion’s walls.
“Then let’s not bring them. Some will stay behind to protect the mansion, some will be out in the city, ready to defend against whoever comes here,” Andrew decided.
“That sounds like a good plan. If you don’t mind, I’ll be, uh, staying here,” Ruby said, “I’m not sure I want to have a run in with them again. Plus I need to watch over Neddy.”
Neddy gave a sly smile.
“Yeah… True.”
“I’ll be staying behind as well. Perhaps I can figure out more with this obelisk,” Erica decided. Freya stepped forward.
“I’ll be going out there. We can kick those things’ butts so hard they’ll end up back where they belong.”
“I’ll go,” Aurora silently said. A bead of sweat dripped down her face, “I think… I’d do good. I’ve charted a map of this city already. I know every crevice and hiding hole.”
Aragorn silently shuffled where he was.
“I suppose I should go then too.”
“If you’re going then I’m going,” Jack said, grabbing onto his father’s arm. Aragorn gently pulled away.
“I’m afraid not. You’re staying here with mom,” Aragorn said. Arianna smiled sweetly.
“I think it’d make sense if all of us go,” Nova said. Sheeri nodded, although she seemed like she wasn’t so sure of it herself. The Rock Drakes also nodded along in agreement.
“Personally, I don’t see who within my group could go. We’re not exactly warriors,” Dr. Yang said. Steve glared at Dr. Yang.
“I am a warrior! What are you talking about?”
Andrew pondered as he stared at Dr. Yang’s group for a moment. Then, he pointed at Joe Kong.
“Hey, you look pretty strong. You should come.”
Joe Kong, who was busy munching on berries, looked up in surprise.
“What? But-”
“Alright. Awesome. And… Buddy. How about you go with Joe. You’re a purlovia. You can burrow through anything. I think that’d be great out there.”
“Do I really have to,” Buddy groaned. Joe Kong put a hand on Buddy’s shoulder.
“Let’s not argue against it. Let’s just go and get this over with…”
Buddy sighed.
“I’m not too sure why I have to come. I’m not exactly great in battle. I pass out every few seconds for crying out loud.”
“Well you haven’t passed out once since we’ve gotten here. You’ll do fine,” Dr. Yang comforted him.
Syl stepped forward.
“I guess I should go then, with Skyocean and Drake. The children can stay behind with the others.”
Moonhigh opened her mouth to protest, but Sunhigh tugged on her shirt.
“Let’s not argue. They can handle it and I’m scared… What if Milo is out there?”
“Milo isn’t out there, don’t worry,” Syl sweetly said to him. A bead of sweat dripped down her face, “Just stay here with the adults and I’ll take care of everything with our friends, kay?”
“K,” Sunhigh replied.
“And I guess all of you creatures will go,” Andrew said, looking at the recently abstracted creatures. None of them had any objections. Not even Orbit or Moonbeam, who seemed fine with this predicament.
“Hey, you two shadowmanes… I have a feeling that you don’t really want to do this. You can stay back if you want to. I know what you’ve been through,” Darkhide said. Emerald raised her eyebrow at Darkhide’s words. Moonbeam turned to Darkhide with a smile.
“Thank you, rock drake, but, as long as we have each other we’ll do what’s necessary. I’ll be honored to go into battle with you.”
“And what about you, Andrew?” Aurora asked. Andrew looked back, unhooked his TEK bow, and powered it up.
“I’ll be going out there too.”
With the crew decided, they concocted a battle strategy.
The two rock drakes, Emerald and Darkhide, would be scouts. With Ruby and Erica’s help, they’d set up alarm traps at two points of the city, one near the south building at the bar, and another near the north building at the school. If any of the bad guys are spotted approaching, they’ll sound the alarm and everyone will ready themselves. They will stay invisible and won’t be joining the battle to act as the element of surprise.
Aurora, Andrew, Freya, and Skyocean would be patrolling the streets with their weapons together. Together with their might, and lead by Aurora, if they spot a villain they’d run and use hit and run tactics to slow them down and defeat them, and the twisting streets and strange buildings to their advantage with Aurora’s implant attribute. Skyocean would also use his power to potentially trick any of the humans that’d come to the city.
Aragorn, Sylveevee, and Drake would be the main force atop the buildings. Once the wyvern known as Jethezzar is spotted flying toward them, then Sylveevee will transform into a wyvern of her own and engage in a battle with him. Since none of the bad guys knew there was another shapeshifter like Syl or Milo… Drake would be backup and wouldn’t use his power yet until the last second. Aragorn would use traditional weaponry to chip away at Jethezzar and serve as a distraction.
On the other hand, Buddy and Tago would be surveillance. As the battle rages on, Tago will fly Buddy back and forth between all the different groups to let the others know about the others’ statuses and if they should regroup or not.
The rest of the recently abstracted creatures would patrol the border of the cities together. The Raptors, Snake and Rage, would act as the mobility, using their agility and the buildings to pounce on potential enemies, while the Shadowmanes, Orbit and Moonbeam would go invisible for ambush methods.
Finally, Joe Kong would go around the city and try to round up as many animals and humans as possible for the incoming fight. All the more manpower, the better…
“I love the plan,” Rage said with a sly smile, “You humans aren’t so stupid after all.”
“Right. Now let’s get a move on. We don’t have much time,” Andrew said.
Everyone walked out of the cave and into the cities, ready to fight for their lives and for their futures.
I guess you could say this truly would be the battle of The Omega Timeline: Story Intersection…
~
OH yeah the chapter isn’t over yet.
“All this land for the taking? That sounds splendid,” Fjordur’s Dragon growled.
“Yes. But these pesky little gnats are trying to get in the way. They’re stationed at a city up north. If we wipe them out, no one can stop us,” Drain said. Apex, the largest one of the crew, seemed very reluctant about this.
“None of you are father. How should I trust you? Why should I work with you?”
“Because ‘father’ isn’t here right now,” Jethezzar muttered. Jethezzar’s eyes darted around. A few humans, but a lot of dragons had been abstracted. His power was being challenged just by their presence. He wasn’t sure he liked it.
“I think I’ll be fine letting them run rampant, and killing them once they get tired out. But how do I do that?” Jethezzar thought. Then, a cruel smile grew on his face.
“I have a proposition. All the creatures should head to the city to wipe it off the map. All the humans should stay behind, just in case they send out a group to capture it.”
“That sounds fine to me,” the reaper queen, Sig, said. She swished her tail around, a weird sap secreting from the tip, “I can’t wait to find some delicious prey-”
Fjordur’s dragon took a glance at Jethezzar, and rolled his eyes.
“Fine.”
Drain, Ember, and Lieutenant Felswand (who had just been recently abstracted as Ember requested), also agreed. They didn’t exactly want to mess with the dragons.
Apex still seemed hesitant.
“What will we do when we get there though?”
“Hmm, I suppose you could go in first. You should be enough to kill them,” Jethezzar said.
“But why should I listen to that?” Apex asked, smoke pouring from his mouth.
“Because… If you don’t, we’ll all gang up on you. And that goes for you humans too. Now let’s just work together for a bit. Once we get rid of those heroes, we can carve up the land for ourselves and we’ll all be happy. That’s that. Now, let’s get a move on.”
With that, all the creatures began to fly off into the north, leaving the humans to their own devices. Captain Shortstacks stomped off to the edge of the podium, a hand on his sword. Lil Jack followed closely behind.
“We should listen to those dragons’ directions, and be wary. If any pitiful losers come here, we’ll get info out of them and then hold them hostage.”
“Y-yes Captain,” Lil Jack replied. Professor Rockwell seemed to be inspecting the hologram that the black obelisk was displaying. He scrolled down the list of characters, scratching his beard carefully.
“How absolutely wondrous. I didn’t know the obelisks were capable of such power… This is absolutely beautiful!” he exclaimed, “It was even able to transform me back into this ugly, mortal form. However, once I get my hands on some element, I can ascend back to godhood.”
Everyone seemed to keep their distance from the crazy guy. He seemed off his rocker, and nobody really felt like talking to him. Pat, Milo, and Doctor Bubba were off to the side discussing something.
“Doctor Bubba, you said that you have a serum capable of giving people the power to transform into any creature they desire?” Pat asked with curiosity.
“Yes, yes I did. That’s how Milo’s able to transform… and that dastardly Sylveevee. It wasn’t supposed to work like that. Originally, it was meant to act as a way to trap someone in the body of a different animal. However, that seems not to be the case anymore. It was an error on my part.”
“Hmm, if that’s the case, why don’t you make more of that?” Pat whispered, “Both of us can take it, and now there’s three shapeshifting humans. We could just wipe out the others and have everything to ourselves. Or better yet, go home, now that that Syl is out of the equation no one can stop us.”
“As much as I’d love to, I need to find the resources. And a lab. We’d have to do some exploring, but I’m not too sure I want to abandon post here. Those dragons are too dangerous. We need to follow their lead for now, until there’s an opportunity to split off.”
At the moment, these three seemed to be the most dangerous out of the humans. They didn’t worry about the other humans. To them, they were pawns. They didn’t have powers, after all.
“But what about her?” Milo asked, glancing at one of the women who were recently abstracted. They called her Willow. She had long black curls, green eyes, metal armor, and an implant in her wrist just like Pat and Milo. She seemed the quiet time, staying away from everyone else and watching cautiously. She was sitting on a rock and throwing up and down a dagger.
“She’s fishy… But I wouldn’t worry. There’s three of us. What harm could she do?” Pat reasoned.
“And her?”
There was another woman who had also been abstracted alongside the other big ones. She was referred to as Queen June, and she had metal armor on too and a bored look on her face. She was impatiently tapping her foot on the ground, crossing her arms, and looking around. Her orange-brown hair flowed in the wind (even though there was no wind). Suddenly, she got up from the ground and began to walk away.
“Alright, that’s enough for me. I’m out. Later, losers.”
As June walked past Captain Shortstacks, she bumped into his shoulder. Lil Jack flinched, but Captain Shortstacks took offense to this and unsheathed his sword, pointing it at June’s throat.
“How DARE you!” Captain Shortstacks snarled. June smirked at the sight. She snatched the sword with tremendous speed and yanked it out of his hand, tossing it onto the path up to the obelisk podium.
“Just stay out of the way. This doesn’t concern you. I have no care for taking over anything. I only want to… eh, why should I tell you.”
June rolled her eyes and walked off toward the city. Everyone watched her cautiously, until eventually the glitches covered her tracks and hid her away from sight.
“That damn wretch. Who does she think she is?”
“W-Well she was a queen, according to the obelisk,” Lil Jack pointed out, “Don’t you British have that?”
“Don’t talk back to me!” Captain Shortstacks snarled. Lil Jack shrieked in fear. Captain Shortstacks grumbled and rubbed his forehead. He walked off to recover his sword.
“She was probably pretty weak,” Milo muttered, “She wouldn’t have been very useful.”
There was a gasp, suddenly, and Captain Shortstacks stormed back onto the podium, as red as a tomato and his fists on his hips.
“WHERE IS MY SWORD, AND WHY HAS IT DISAPPEARED?!” Captain Shortstacks screamed, steam pouring out of his ears. Pat shrugged.
“Dude, I dunno. It probably glitched out and disappeared. Chill out.”
Captain Shortstacks walked up to Pat, getting up right in his face.
“You really need to learn how to respect your superiors, boy. You probably stole it, huh? Now give it back or I’ll be forced to-”
“Jeez louise it wasn’t me! It’s not like I’d want to steal it anyway, I’ve already got my own,” Pat said, flashing his sword. Captain Shortstacks turned to Milo.
“Then it was YOU!”
“Dude you really need to quiet down-”
CLANK, CLANK!
All eyes turned to the middle of the podium, and there a smoke grenade lay. Everyone gasped, and suddenly it set off, causing smoke to spew all over the place. Screaming and shouting commenced, and everyone drew their weapons in a panic.
“Hey, what the- Where’s my sword?!” Pat gasped.
CLONK!
The sound of someone being whacked, and then collapsing to the ground rung in their ears.
“What’s… going on, is it one of the villains? Who did that?” Captain Shortstacks wondered to himself as he began to look around.
Alas, the smoke finally began to clear. A voice beeped out from the hologram.
“Story Intersection,” the familiar robotic voice announced, “One user detected: automatically opening ‘The Arks: Over Heaven’.”
The person who threw the smoke grenade was finally revealed. Standing on the podium was a man with a black graduation robe, and he had an unconscious Milo at swordpoint. In the man’s other hand was another sword, which was aimed at the side of Captain Shortstacks’ neck. A dagger lay in his mouth, and he gave a grin.
“You pathetic idiots…” he growled, “Look what you’ve gotten yourself into. Now I wouldn’t mind killing you two right now, but I need answers. WHAT DID YOU DO TO STAR?!”
“W-Who are you?” Captain Shortstacks asked. Lil Jack’s eyes widened, and collapsed onto his bottom. Tears began to form in his eyes.
“Y-you!” Lil Jack cried out. He pointed a finger at him, “Stay back! Don’t- Don’t even think about, about-”
Samuel smiled at the sight of Lil Jack.
“Oh. You. What was your name again? Lil John? Doesn’t matter. I’m Samuel.”
Samuel turned to Milo. His eyes glanced over the implant in his left wrist. He raised his boot and then smashed it right into it, causing it to crack. He slammed his foot into it again, and then it shattered.
SMASH!
Glass flew onto the ground, and Samuel pressed both swords harder onto Captain Shortstacks’ and Milo’s necks.
“Now, I’ll give you the count of three. If you don’t surrender to me, I’ll kill both of your strongest combatants.”
“Three.”
“Two.”
“One…”
~
Joe Kong quickly ran through the city, huffing and puffing as his feet stomped on the cobblestone streets. He needed to act fast. The bad guys could come at any moment, and time was money.
“The faster I get this over with, the faster I can head back to the mansion and eat my berries,” Joe Kong thought, “Mmm, yummy.”
Joe Kong eventually came to a skidding stop at a bar. He had seen this exact one on the way to the mansion, when he had first been brought into the Omega Timeline. He peered inside and saw a bunch of creatures drinking and eating all types of food and having fun. Too bad he’d have to ruin it with the news.
Joe Kong barged inside and was greeted with the smell of fresh meat and berries. Joe took a sniff of the air, and his eyes began to wander. Perhaps he could just take a quick bite before warning them…
Joe Kong walked up to the counter, where a bartender was wiping down a glass that had just been recently used. He had a nametag on his shirt that said ‘Paul’.
“Hey there! Newcomer? Welcome to my bar! I’m Paul. I’m the greatest Paul there is. Actually, I’m the only Paul around these parts. How can I help ‘ya?” Paul asked. He was quite a tall fellow. He was wearing a weird red and white outfit, and blue shorts, but at the same time it seemed to have glitched in the fur of a Gigantopithecus, and a general’s outfit and a futuristic soldier’s.
“Paul…” Joe Kong said. He thought about his father. He shuddered at the thought of the news that Dr. Yang had brought him.
“I’ll make you two proud,” Joe Kong thought with a sniffle, “Right after I get some food, of course.”
“Um. Well, I think I’d like some berries.”
“Berries? Okie dokie, here ya go.”
Paul turned around and opened up a weird white box, and as soon as he did a burst of cold air came forth and onto Joe. Paul reached into the box, grasped the air, and then pulled out a glass container of berries. Joe blinked his eyes rapidly and began to rub them.
“What the-”
Paul turned around and poured the berries into a bowl, giving them to Joe. Joe grabbed them eagerly.
“Okay, that’s gonna be five Omega coins.”
“A what?” Joe asked.
“The currency of this place. We just found it lying around and distributed it equally, and then everyone just kind of uses it. You can find some… in the right places. What, you think this is free? Heh, that’s funny,” Paul chuckled. Joe scratched the back of his head.
“Well, ya see… I don’t really have that.”
“Then I’m afraid I’mma have to take it back. This isn’t cheap y’know. They aren’t from your typical island.”
“Nah, don’t worry,” a voice said, “I’ll pay for it.”
Joe and Paul turned to see a black bear sitting on the stool and gulping up a pot of honey. The black bear set the pot down and turned to the two.
“It’s on me. Here. I love the berries here too.”
The black bear scratched his butt, and then pulled out five silver coins with the Omega symbol implanted on them. Paul greedily grabbed the coins and put them in his mouth.
“Thank you sir. Here, have your berries. You’re lucky Bear over here paid for them…”
Paul went back to cleaning his glass without a care in the world, completely ignoring Joe and Bear. Joe turned to Bear with a raised eyebrow.
“Um. Thanks?” Joe said, grabbing a handful of berries and shoving them in his mouth.
“No problem. Anything for a fellow mammal. It’s hard finding those around here nowadays,” Bear said. He grabbed a cooked fish and chomped onto it, “So… what’s your story?”
“My story?”
“Yeah. Everyone has one. Including me,” Bear said.
“Well then what’s your story?”
“My story?” Bear said. He scratched his head, “Well, you see, I was wondering through the forest. And then… Uh. I forgot.”
Bear turned to Joe.
“What’s your name?”
“Joe Kong. My mother and father died in a war. I was with a few other animals and then…”
“Oh,” Bear muttered, turning away, “I’m so sorry for your loss. What’s your name again?”
“You’re so stupid,” Joe replied, rolling his eyes.
“Right, You’re So Stupid. Now, I have a feeling that you’re here for something… So what is it?”
“There’s a wyvern coming here right now. He’s going to destroy everything, and I need to get help. There’s a bunch of other people and creatures who are gonna help-”
Bear suddenly stood up from his seat.
“EVERYONE WE’RE ALL GOING TO DIE THERE’S A WYVERN COMING AND HE’S GONNA FRY EVERYONE TO SMITHEREENS! SO WE ALL NEED TO WORK TOGETHER TO STOP IT!” Bear cried. All the creatures began to scream in panic, and they got up from their seats and began to hurry out of the bar and to who knew where. Paul opened the white box and jumped inside, closing it behind him. Joe groaned and facepalmed.
“Thanks a lot dude…”
“Hey, it’s no problem You’re So Stupid. Now I’ll be glad to help, because to be frank, I do not want to die,” Bear decided, “Anyway. I think we should go now! Let’s go find that wyvern and kill him! To death!”
Just then, the restroom door in the corner of the bar swung open. A hooded man wearing a golden heart locket exited, and as he spotted Joe Kong and Bear, he stood as still as a deer in headlights.
“OH. HEY THERE!” Bear said, waving his paw at the hooded figure, “You’re back from the restroom! Say, did you hear that THERE’S A WYVERN COMING-”
“Yeah. Yeah I did,” the hooded figure replied.
“Awesome! Wanna help us kill it?” Bear asked.
The hooded figure sighed, and rubbed his face, which seemed to be covered in shadows.
“Fine. I guess I have no choice, right?”
“Awesome! Dude, you’re gonna love this guy, You’re So Stupid! He’s CRAZY strong! Just you see, he has such a cool power!” Bear said with excitement. Joe Kong turned to the hooded figure.
“Well, I guess two is good. At least it wasn’t zero,” Joe Kong said.
“That’s the spirit You’re So Stupid! Now let’s go kick some wyvern butt!” Bear exclaimed, “Me, You’re So Stupid, and… What’s your name again?”
The hooded figure sighed, and pulled his hood down. He had long black hair that looked like it hadn’t been cut in ages, rolled up eyes, and finally, a distinct rope mark across his neck that looked like he had been hanged. He wore a wreath of flowers atop his head.
“Ben. My name is Ben.”
The Omega Timeline
Chapter 33: New
–By Moon
Heads turned as the automated voice rang out. White lights flashed quickly, and five silhouettes of different sizes appeared.
A pale red Wyvern lifted her head, blinking. She then crouched suddenly, glancing around in confusion at the group of humans and creatures staring her way in the large space.
“More people!” Steve observed loudly.
A Raptor shoved past the Wyvern and looked up alertly, her expression slowly changing to suppressed irritation and befuddlement. “What.”
“Anybody know any of these guys?” Emma asked the people standing next to her. Sheeri shook her head as Darkhide backed away from a Shadowmane with a yelp.
“Talking humans?” The grey Raptor was saying blankly.
“Moonbeam!” A second Shadowmane burst forward and smacked into one of the creatures, knocking her to the ground in a hug. Moonbeam exclaimed quietly in surprise as he squeezed her, before recognizing him with widening blue eyes. “Orbit?”
“Who are all of you?” A black and white Raptor demanded quietly.
“First tell us who you are,” Erica said, crossing her arms and standing beside the wall. Aragorn nodded as she spoke, sitting behind her with Arriana at his side.
“I’m Orbit,” One of the Shadowmanes said, sitting up. “This is Moonbeam.”
“I’m Tago,” The Fire Wyvern said nervously.
The black and white raptor blinked. “Call me–”
“And I’m Rage! Blah blah blah, we’re all friends now, who are you, why are we here.” The first Raptor interrupted, leaning against the other as she spoke.
“...Snake.” The second Raptor finished.
“Cool name, buddy,” Rage said with a sideways smile at her, her red eyes glowing warmly.
“There’s a lot to explain,” Nova said.
“So explain it.” Moonbeam said flatly. “One second I was being pushed down a ravine and now I’m here with all of you strangers and humans.” Orbit came to stand next to her and twined his tail around hers. She took a breath.
“Magic did it,” Steve said.
“Well–” Yang began, before deciding against arguing.
“We’re kind of in a war,” Neddy called from across the room. He fidgeted with one of the bandages wrapped around his arm.
“Whatever,” Rage said, holding out her talons for them to stop. “Someone sensible please explain it to us.”
“We will.” Aragorn said. “We’ll explain everything.”

The Omega Timeline
Chapter 23: The isle of Pandora
—By Wyvernian
“This place is incredible.” Yang said. “Yes it is.” Emerald said proudly. “Uh how do us non flyers get up there?” Buddy asked. “Well, there is one way..” Nova said.
“IMM FLYYYING ON A GIANT MUTANT!!” Steve said excitedly. “Giant what now?!” Nova said. “Sorry about him..” Yang said stuffing Steve back in his satchel. “No problem, I guess I probably do have some squirrel in me ‘eh?” Nova said pondering what she was exactly. “I think we should start with the caves, that’s where we found Darkhide and Drain, perhaps it contains more intel.” Emerald said. “Hopefully nothing else like Drain..” Buddy said. “Guys, what’s up with that obelisk over there?” Sheeri asked. “Who cares.” Darkhide said. “That is interesting, the light is black, but that’s impossible, black is the absence of light..” Yang said. “It’s not important now, we are on a mission.” Emerald said. “It seems.. evil…” Sheeri said. “Well then lets stay away from it..” Buddy said. “Maybe you guys are right, but.. what if Drain and Ember went there.” Sheeri said. “Pfft, there’s an ocean between us and that obelisk, Ember can’t swim.” Joe said. “Technically, desmodus can carry incredible weight.” Darkhide put in. “See! It could be them.” Sheeri said. “Enough Sheeri! We are going to Pandora!” Emerald shouted. “Hey! Don’t talk to her like that!” Nova said. “Ya! Pigeons have rights!!” Steve yelled. “Yang, shut that runt up before I eat the both of you!” Darkhide threatened. “EVERYONE STOP!” Sheeri yelled, “don’t you see what’s happening! It’s the same as in the mansion! And look at the black obelisk!” They stopped arguing and looked off at the obelisk. “She’s right, sorry guys..” Emerald said. “If that’s what’s causing us to fight then we should stay far away.” Darkhide said. “What?!” Sheeri said. “He’s right, what if we get closer and it makes us kill eachother.” Buddy said. “If you all are too scared then I’ll go alone!” Sheeri said, she didn’t know why she was being so brave, she was very meek. “Fine, go we don’t need ya anyway.” Darkhide said. Emerald smacked him with her tail. “Sheeri don’t go.” Nova said. “I have to.” Sheeri said, she turned and flew away from the others. “Bye bye ice pigeon..” Steve said sadly. “Cmon guys, she’ll get scared and come back.” Emerald said. They followed. Nova always regretted not siding with her friend.
They reached the top of the floating isle a little bit later and rested, then they made their way to the caves on foot, Darkhide was reluctant to go in, but he was never one to be afraid or superstitious. “This is where we found them.” Emerald said, showing the other group the tomb, it looked the same as before. “Look, at the wall! There’s something carved in it.” Darkhide used his claws to make a spark and lit more of the torches in the tomb, they looked at the carvings, they seemed to be cave drawings, carved into the stone, they told stories. “I know about these, we made stories like this for the whelps, but I’ve never heard of these stories.” Emerald said. “Look, this one has a bunch of creatures.” Yang said. “Wait.. I know them, that’s Caesar and Jaxz right there, and the others!” Emerald said. “And Salizar..” Darkhide said looking at the drawing of a cloaked meso with a half mask. “Him..” Emerald said. “Look! There’s us!! And an octopus!!!” Steve said. “I think that’s Rockwell, Steve..” Joe said. “Oh, that guy.. wait who?” Steve said. Yang shoved him back in the pouch. “Look here, there’s those humans!” Nova said, pointing a claw at an island with four survivors and a town with the Petersons. “Everyone who was called to the mansion is here… maybe we shouldn’t have split up, we’re clearly important, and in this together.” Emerald said. “Yea, maybe we should go ba-” Nova was cut off by a shriek in the distance. “What.. was that..” Buddy said. “We should go check it out, it could be another creature who’s been brought back to life.” Emerald said. “Oh please don’t be that $#%&*#%! Salizar.” Darkhide said. “LANGUAGE!” Steve yelled. Darkhide glared at the squirrel and he went back in the pouch.
They walked down the tunnel, every now and then they heard those shrieking noises. They kept getting closer and closer, “wait! These are the nests, we have to go alone, there’s radiation down here.” Emerald said. Darkhide and Emerald walked down into the irradiated zone, they eventually reached an open “room” they were looking around, but all they saw was rockdrake eggs. “Hello? We know your here, it’s me, Ge- (she stopped herself) Emerald.” Emerald said. About 25 rockdrake went visible. “Oh, you aren’t my tribe, hello, we come in peace this was my tribes nesting site, but I guess you guys moved in once you got sent here.” Emerald said. The drakes just stared at the two, sniffing and snarling. “Hey! Doofuses, we’re talking to you!” Darkhide said. “Darkhide.. Remember how the humans said creatures couldn’t speak where they are re from..” Emerald said. “Yea.” “You think these guys are some of those..” She said. The drakes roared and their feathers stood on end. “RUN!” Emerald yelled, they turned invisible but somehow the wild Drakes could still see them, or maybe smell. “EVERYONE GET OUT OF HERE!” Emerald yelled as they ran towards the group, “what?! Why?!” Nova said confused. “THEM!” Darkhide yelled. As the two got closer to the others the drakes that were following them turned a corner and came into view, they were crawling at all angles of the tunnel, it was just a mass of feathers scales and fury coming towards them like a wave. They all ran out of the cave as fast as they could, when they exited the cave they turned to look at the attackers, the drakes stopped at the exit and went back inside, they didn’t like sunlight. “Why were they attacking? Darkhide what did you say!” Nova said. “I didn’t say anything! They were feral.” Darkhide said. “Technically you called them doofuses..” Emerald said. Darkhide grunted. “Wait! Where’s Steve!” Yang said worriedly. “I’m in a pink spongy bed!” Steve yelled, his voice was muffled. “DARKHIDE!” They all yelled in frustration. “Wht?” Darkhide said with his mouth closed. “Spit him out!” Emerald scolded. “Gh fn..” he spat Steve out on the ground. “That bed was too wet…” Steve said disappointed. Yang put him back in the satchel. “And they’re feral..” Buddy said. “Probably for the best, he most likely would’ve given me a disease.” Darkhide said.

‘Trying to get to know each other’
As sylveevee and Aragorn’s group walked to the city sunhigh and moonhigh stayed a bit far back not sure to trust anyone but the people they know best drake especially was on guard if aragorn attacked sylveevee again. Chapter Nineteen: Pandora
The large gates of the mansion swung open. The three groups walked out to the stairs. Buddy, and the his group walked alongside the other creatures. Yang was busy multitasking by keeping Steve in the satchel, and asking Emerald questions about this ‘Pandora’. “What is…*stuffs Steve back in bag*… Pandora like?” Yang questioned. Emerald responded but Buddy stopped listening. After a while of walking Buddy saw a strange sight, Steve poked his head out of Yangs Satchel. Steve looked at the floating mansion in the distance, Steves eyes flashed red and Steve whimpered. He sunk back into the satchel. “Hey guys… What’s that?” Yang asked cautiously. Buddy turned to see a large island floating in the sky. Buddy gasped. “What is that place?” Joe asked between mouthfuls of berries. “That… is Pandora.” Emerald grinned.
Sorry this was short… I almost had writers block… Sorry if Pandora isn’t that island, Wyvernian. I haven’t read either POP or HOP. I plan to I just haven’t had the time.

Chapter 15: Distrust - by Ben
Part 2/2
“I-I do.”
“We can work together. Obviously the others shouldn’t be trusted. I think my ally Aurora thinks so too. Your family not so much, but they don’t know any better right?”
“Right.”
“So, go on and tell me what you know of Syl.”
Aragorn sighed, and rubbed his fingers with his thumb.
“She can transform into other creatures, I just know it. I’m not sure how, but, she can. I saw a magenta Meganeura flying above me when the new guests came. It can’t be a coincidence, magenta Meganeura’s can’t even be found in the wild. And I highly doubt a bug like that would have gotten in all the way up here.”
“Hmm, so that lady can transform into other creatures?” Samuel asked. He thought to himself, “Interesting. If that’s the case, I might want to be on her good side.”
“After all, I already know she is following the two of us.”
“While it is odd she’d hide that from us, I wouldn’t put it on her. She is just as distrustful as us as we are of her,” Samuel said aloud to Aragorn. Aragorn let out a “hmm”.
“So what should we do about her? She could be dangerous if she can transform into ANY other creature. We don’t want to take that risk.”
“That is true. But I do not think she would use her power maliciously. She seems like a kind-hearted person who wants good. I think we should be more welcoming to her.”
Aragorn seemed to look at Samuel a bit longer, as if he couldn’t believe the words he was saying, before finally sighing and nodding in affirmation.
“Fine… But I’m not going to get all goody with Princess Purple.”
Just then, a shrill, yet muffled scream came from above. Samuel and Aragorn looked up, and Aragorn’s eyes widened.
“Arianna?”
The squawk of a Dodo bird echoed in the air, and then the cackle of an evil bat.
“That bat!” Samuel realized, clenching his fist.
The two quickly rushed up the stairs and barged into one of the rooms. It was the modernized bedroom that belonged to Samuel. It was filled with vibrant colors and paintings, and had a large bed to the side… that was filled with rope. Huddled up against the wall were Arianna, Neddy, and Aurora. They were tied up in some rope. Standing in the center of the room was Drain, and he was holding Star in his talons. Star was trying to kick and bite at Drain, and Drain tossed Star to the side.
“Out of the way, I don’t want your blood… I want HUMAN blood! I want a sip before I get the others… No, I NEED a sip!”
Aragorn was absolutely stunned, but he quickly clenched his fists and glared at Drain. Samuel’s eyes quickly darted around the room, and he spotted a small glass bottle conveniently ready for throwing. Samuel grabbed it and tossed it like a baseball at the Desmodus. It hit him right in the head, and he let out a cry of pain. A glass shard was embedded on the side of his head now. He snarled and turned to face Aragorn and Samuel.
“You better step away from them. Or I’m going to kill you,” Samuel calmly said. Although as he spotted Star seething on the ground, he felt his heart pump a little faster.
“What he said is wrong. We are going to kill you,” Aragorn declared.
“Oh really… is that so?” Drain licked his lips as he spotted Aragorn, “You again, this will be fun! And there’s only two of you? That just makes things easier for me.”
Drain pointed his wing at the two, and ushered at the two of them.
“Come at me then!”

Chapter thirteen: Mansion In The Clouds
—By MGG2.0
Buddy, Yang, Joe, Steve, Ember, and the other group walked towards the stairs. The other group were talking amongst themselves about something Buddy didn’t understand. He mostly tuned the talking out. The two groups halted at the bottom of the stairs. Yang walked up and stepped on the first stair. He hopped up and down on it. “It’s stable. I think.” Yang said. The two groups trotted up the stairs. Halfway up Ember stopped, wheezing. He inhaled loudly and coughed. “How many stairs are there?” He coughed violently. Andrew and Yang looked back at him. “Maybe a hundred, two hundred. Why do you ask? You tired?” Yang grinned. “Hey I don’t have as long legs as you swamp dwellers!” Ember shot back. Yang looked slightly offended. Yang turned away and continued walking up the stairs. Andrew hurried up. He walked next too Yang. “You going to help him? The terror bird I mean.” Andrew asked. “No, he deserves this.” Yang said without a single tone of sympathy in his voice. Buddy looked back at Ember. “HURRY UP OLD MAN!!!” Steve screamed at Ember, from Yang’s shoulder. Ember yelped and hobbled faster up the stairs. Buddy reached the top of the stairs and slumped next too the door. Yang strode up too the door and knocked. The door opened with a loud creaking sound. No one stood behind it. Yang walked into a large deserted dining hall. One large table stood in the center of the room. Large plates of different variety’s of food sat on the table. Some food was half eaten, like someone had just been there. Yang walked up too the table. He picked up a cup and sniffed it. “Coffee… it’s still warm. This can only mean one thing!” Yang exclaimed. “Someone was just here?” Joe asked Yang. “No! Well yes, but another thing is… SOMEONE KNOWS HOW TOO MAKE A GOOD CAPPUCCINO!!” Yang yelled. “I haven’t had coffee in so long!” Yang said. Buddy looked confused. He scanned the room looking for any doors. There was one door at the end of the table, opposite from the entrance. Buddy walked towards it. It was big enough too fit a large Wyvern. Buddy pushed it open. It was very light. The door led too a hallway. The hallway had multiple doors in it. “Guys… I found something.” Buddy said. The two groups hurried up. Andrew looked at the hallway. The two groups cautiously walked into the hallway. Buddy found a door with a symbol shaped kinda like a Purlovia. A single word was below the symbol, Buddy. Buddy walked up to the door and nudged it open. Inside was a beautiful room. It looked like the inside of a cabin. A single bed sat below a window. Another door was next too the bed, a bathroom, Buddy guessed. A velvet chair sat next too the bed. Buddy hopped on the bed and curled up. Slowly sleep came.
***
Ember ran through the hall. He came too the end and nudged the door open. He found a stairwell. Ember took a deep breath and ran down the stairs, wheezing.
***
Back where Yang and the others are… Yang studied each door closely careful not to make a sound. A loud wheezing broke his concentration. “Will you guys please be quiet???” Yang exclaimed as he turned towards the group. “That wasn’t us.” Andrew replied as he looked around cautiously. He heard a knocking sound in the floor below him. Andrew reached down and heaved the floorboard up. Under the floorboard was a stairwell. Ember stood below them, Wheezing. “This… Place is a… MAZE!” Ember exclaimed, coughing. Yang rolled his eyes. He reached down and pulled Ember up. Suddenly the ground rumbled. A loud thumping came from behind them. “Oh no…” Yang said slowly. The group turned around. The door leading too the large dining hall slammed open. Joe ran in holding a plate full of berries. “I FOUND THE KITCHEN!” Joe yelled triumphantly.
Sorry about all the, To, Too, things Wyvernian. That’s one of the few things I get confused with in Grammar…

Chapter 3: Dream Come True - by Ben
Part 1/2
By the time they were beginning to reach the staircase to the mansion, the five had begun to slow down. Neddy was out of breath, heaving heavily while they were making their way to the ‘entrance’.
“Wow, that was a good run,” Neddy said, perspiration accumulating on his forehead. He put his hands on his hips, and gawked at the sheer size of the staircase.
“That certainly is quite a lot to tread,” Samuel stated. Ruby rubbed the back of her head, and looked onward skeptically.
“How will we even know we’re gonna get the answers to this place up there? What if… someone lives there? Wouldn’t that be trespassing?” Ruby asked. Aurora snickered and put her foot on the step. It began to glow a heavenly white.
“We’ll just have to kick ‘em out.”
Aurora began to walk up the stairs, and Star rolled her eyes. She hopped onto Samuel’s shoulder, and Samuel began to follow her. Ruby looked at Neddy, shrugged, then also followed suit. Neddy groaned, and he meekly began to clamber up the stairs.
A hundred steps later, and the flapping of wings filled the air. Neddy’s implant glowed for a quick second, before fading away, and they all looked up in awe to see a large dragon with a light blue and white color scheme flying toward the mansion. It began to circle around the island, before landing behind it. Following it were two smaller looking dragons with feathers protruding out of their bodies. Another weird-looking creature that couldn’t be described followed.
“DRAGONS!” Aurora gasped.
“Guys, are you SURE this is a good idea to be going up here?” Neddy asked once again, “I mean, what if the dragons live here? They’re gonna be real mad if they see tasty little humans walking up to their doorstep.”
“Look, if you don’t wanna go up, you can wait for us down below,” Aurora said, pointing down at the staircase. Neddy looked down and gulped. The height was a lot taller when a hundred steps above.
“I mean, sure! I’ll go down, I’ll go down,” Neddy replied. He blinked his eyes, and he began to sweat. Ruby reached forward and grabbed his hand. Neddy looked at her with sincerity.
“Don’t worry, we can wait together,” Ruby said with a sly smirk. Neddy smiled back with hooded eyes.
“Sure. Let’s go, Ruby.”
The two began to walk down the stairs together, and Samuel looked back at them with squinted eyes. Star began to laugh, shaking her tail and shutting her eyes.
“I guess it’s just us three now? Surely nothing could go wrong.”
~
Aurora and Samuel continued to climb the stairs, and when they reached they took their surroundings in. Two streams of water poured from the sides of the island and down below, forming a lake underneath. A garden of bushes and flowers alike filled the air with an aroma of peace and serenity. There was a large Greek symbol that was bolted to the large doors of the mansion.
“The Omega symbol,” Aurora whispered under her breath.
“How’d you know?” Samuel asked.
“I took Greek on the side,” Aurora responded with a romantic smirk. Star rolled her eyes. Samuel took a few steps forward on the quartz path, before stopping at the door. They were a lot larger than your ordinary door, they could span to the top of a house. Samuel grabbed the handle and pulled it with all of his might.
CREAAAK!
“In we go…” Samuel paused as he gasped at the inside. A large statue of a Dodo was spitting water out of its beak into a fountain in front of them. The floor was made of a clean, white quartz, and there was a polished staircase to the rest of the levels of the mansion. What lay ahead was a living room with lines and lines of couches, and a gigantic TV that was the size of a wall. A chandelier hung from the top of the mansion.
“Someone’s rich,” Aurora said with stars in her eyes.
“This is amazing,” Samuel stated. He took a moment to look around some more. For a moment, he could feel the stress slip away from his mind. For a moment, he had forgotten his origins.
“No, no this is too good to be true,” Samuel thought to himself, “Right, those dragons! I need to go investigate that, they landed behind right?”
Samuel looked around, but Aurora was already gone.
“Aurora?” Samuel called out.
No response.
“Ugh,” Samuel groaned. Star chirped reassuringly, and Samuel smiled.
“Thanks Star. Now let’s go figure out what those dragons are here for. Maybe they also ended up in the same situation as we did…”

Chapter 40: Bereft - by Ben
“What is she doing here?!” Jethezzar thought, his eyes peering across the skyline. The city was emptier than the last time he was here. Perhaps the mysterious forces against him had evacuated them. Jethezzar clutched onto his rune tighter. Despite the silence of the city, encountering that purlovia and… her, proved to Jethezzar that these foes had gathered an army themselves.
“I can’t take them all on at once, especially with the chance of ambush like that weird creature. No, total war must begin. I must bring everyone from the dark obelisk to the city to crush these fools once and for all.”
Jethezzar stared at the rune in his talons one last time. It seemed to be humming more frequently than when he was in that desert. He caressed the stone with his talon, and looked back, where the Black Obelisk was. It seemed to be humming more violently.
Without a word, Jethezzar took to the skies and flew back.
~
Buddy looked up in the skies to see that familiar bronze wyvern flying back to the Black Obelisk. He sneered, and turned to Tago.
“He’s going back to the obelisk.”
Tago looked at Buddy with a weird expression.
“You want to follow him?” she asked with a hint of disbelief.
“What? No! I just… think something’s off.”
Buddy suddenly felt a piercing pain in his head. Buddy let out a groan, rubbing his head with his paw. Tago looked at her buddy in worry. She nudged his side, and he collapsed to the ground.
“Huh? Buddy? What happened?!” Tago asked, grabbing Buddy.
“Buddy!”
It was too late. Buddy had found himself in another one of his visions.
Buddy looked around in confusion. The city he was in was filled with fire, and a large dragon that towered above all the buildings was breathing fire into the streets. Buddy let out a shriek of terror, and began to run away.
BAM!
He was stopped by a familiar-looking blue dragon. It sneered and swiped at Buddy. Buddy dodged out of the way, and looked around to see humans and creatures fighting amongst each other in a fierce battle. Blood was everywhere, and overgrowth was present in the buildings. But as Buddy looked around, something told him that this…
Was the city he was present in.
Buddy let out a gasp of air, as he was jolted awake by Tago.
“Buddy! What happened?” Tago asked as soon as his eyes fluttered open.
Buddy shoved past Tago and clambered onto her back. Tago looked at him with confusion. Buddy squinted his eyes at the buildings the Rock Drakes had positioned themselves at.
“We need to warn everyone that they’re coming. All of them. We need a new game plan. We’re all too spread out, we’ll be crushed in seconds.”
“But how do you know-”
“It doesn’t matter how I know! Just go go go go!”
Tago didn’t protest. She ran forward, off the observatory, and flew off to warn everyone.
War was coming.
~
Ben had a weird dream that night.
He was in a mansion, standing at a table, staring at a book, and being interrogated by some blurry voice he couldn’t recognize. He was sweating beads, and with a scream of rage, retaliated with some nonsense.
“Why would I write a book like this?” he had said.
Then, the walls of the mansion came toppling down, crushing him and killing him. He heard a beep in his head, and he woke up in his bed, safe and sound. After much time spent in his bed, he finally decided to go out to the bar to get a drink.
“And now here I am, with these two guys,” Ben thought, looking back and forth from Bear and Joe Kong. The three of them were just wandering the streets aimlessly, no purpose in mind. Bear was looking around the city, eyes wide and walking on his two legs. He scratched the back of his head.
“You’re So Stupid you said there was going to be a wyvern coming,” Bear said, looking around suspiciously, “But there’s no wyvern!”
Just then, a huge gust of wind blew on them. All three of them were pushed over, and they all let out gasps of shock. They looked up in the sky to see a bronze wyvern flying away and toward the Black Obelisk. As soon as Bear spotted him he gasped and began to call out to it.
“Hey! Wait! Come back so we can fight you!” Bear screamed out to him. Joe Kong nudged him.
“Don’t aggravate him… If he’s running away then that’s a good thing,” Joe Kong scolded him. Bear frowned.
“I’m so sorry You’re So Stupid. I won’t do that ever again,” he apologized, tears forming in his eyes. Then he began to burst out in tears. He fell down onto his haunches and looked down at the ground sadly. Joe Kong looked at him weirdly as he crumpled to the ground in despair.
“I’m sorry I made you upset, I didn't mean to,” Bear wept. He wiped his paw in front of his eyes and continued blubbering like a baby. Ben sighed, rubbing his forehead and tapping his foot on the ground impatiently.
“Why did I agree to help you,” he muttered under his breath.
Just then, they heard the flapping of wings again, and Joe Kong and Ben turned to see a smaller wyvern and a purlovia headed toward them. Joe seemed to recognize the purlovia. He rushed up to the duo with a smile.
“Buddy! What’s up?”
“No time to explain. Just go to the mansion. Now. War is coming.”
“Wha-”
“Just go! We don’t have much time to waste, we need to warn everyone else!”
Tago and Buddy flew off, and Joe looked on in worry. He nudged Ben with his arm.
“Come on human. Let’s go.”
Joe rushed off to the stairs of the mansion, and Ben looked on in irritation. He stepped over to Bear and kicked him in the back.
“Let’s go.”
Bear let out a sniffle, and got back up on a bipedal stance.
“Right. Right. Thanks, Ben.”
The three rushed over to the mansion stairs and clambered up top. They could notice wyverns and other flying creatures flying up to the mansion as well with humans and other creatures atop.
As Ben set foot upon the stairs, he grimaced.
“Shouldn’t have gotten into this mess,” he thought as he began to run up the stairs, “I really shouldn’t have…”
~
Jethezzar landed at the Shadowkeep, and he could hear a commotion coming from within. He grumbled to himself as he squeezed past the doors and into the area where all the thrones lay. There, everyone seemed to be discussing a plan for what was to come next. Apex lounged in the back, while Captain Shortstacks and Willow seemed to be the biggest mediators of this conversation, while the King Titan would butt in with some ridiculous statement, making everyone groan in annoyance. Jethezzar scanned the crowd and noticed three newcomers. A weird monkey, and two humans, one who was shirtless and barbaric and the other who seemed more distinguished although ugly.
“Why don’t we just let Apex do the heavy work and destroy the city? I highly doubt anyone can stop him, even with combined forces,” Captain Shortstacks suggested.
“I don’t know why I’m here,” Cauldron said, “Even though I’m supposed to be died. But… I want to smash smash smash little creature to bits.”
Sig spotted him and smirked at him, swinging her tail round and round.
“My my, look who’s here,” Sig implanted within everyone’s thoughts. All heads turned to the wyvern. Drain spotted him and stepped forward.
“Where have you been? We’ve missed you,” he said in a mocking tone. Ember snorted, and his Lieutenant shuffled uncomfortably, scratching the back of his head.
“I went back to the city. There’s more of them than we thought,” Jethezzar explained.
“Well, d-did you win?” Lil Jack stuttered. He was hugging both of his legs and was sitting next to Michael.
“No. I lost. Which is why I came here to-”
Fjordur’s Dragon suddenly let out a loud laugh, pointing his talon at Jethezzar with tears in his eyes. Jethezzar stared at him, his eyes boiling with rage, and when he stopped laughing he finally uttered a few words to follow.
“You’re pretty weak for a wyvern! I’m surprised you lost not once, but TWICE! Against these creatures who are supposedly ‘weak’,” he said, looking from creature to creature. The King Titan nodded, looking at Jethezzar with contempt. Apex’s eyes darted down to him.
“Does it matter?! NONE of you helped me take over that city! Instead you sat by the sidelines and watched as I fought THREE wyverns at once! I was about to win too, mind you, but NO! ALL OF YOU ARE WEAK PATHETIC COWARDS!” Jethezzar bellowed. Fjordur’s Dragon let out another chuckle, walking up to look Jethezzar in the eye.
“You don’t scare us weakling-”
Jethezzar let out a scream of rage and pulled his talons back. He lashed out at the dragon, slashing him across the face. The dragon let out a roar and retaliated with a swing of his own, but as it came flying toward his face Jethezzar lunged up and grabbed the dragon by the throat. Jethezzar clamped down tightly, and although it didn’t break skin he still felt the pain. He let out a roar of pain and began to squirm around, but Jethezzar was too angry to be properly defended against. Jethezzar slammed him against the stone ground, almost crushing Rockwell. Rockwell let a gasp out and jumped out of the way, staring at the wyvern with annoyance. But he didn’t dare speak a word.
Jethezzar pressed his wing against Fjordur’s Dragon, keeping him from moving. He looked up at the others, who were backing away. Even the mighty King Titan seemed wary of him. Jerry was grinning wildly at the scene, and Sig giggled again like a little girl.
“From now on…” Jethezzar screamed, “Things are going MY way! None of you are like me! None of you have accomplished things like me! I’m stronger, smarter, faster… I’m better than all of you. So all of us will go to the city and take it over. That is FINAL!”
No one had any complaints. Nobody had any objections. They all just nodded silently, not to dare challenge Jethezzar’s new decree. Samuel looked on at the situation with a glare, his hands in his pockets.
“Then let’s go crush those weaklings!” Jerry suddenly screamed out. Sig looked on at the newcomer with intrigue. Apex stepped forward. His fiery eyes were pinned to Jethezzar’s.
“Let’s fly then. All humans can just ride with us, along with the creatures incapable of flying,” Apex said, staring down at Jethezzar. Jethezzar met his glance.
“You…” Jethezzar thought,
“Are my biggest threat.”
~
Jay was pacing back and forth, while Jack just watched, sitting down on the ground. Jack fiddled with his thumbs nervously, looking around the cave at the rest of those who stayed behind.
“Why won’t dad let us out there to fight? We can fight them! We know how to use a sword! And we have these… medallions. They’ll help us out in battle, right?” Jay said. He paused in his steps and looked at Jack, “So why? Why not?”
Jack shrugged.
“No idea. But hey… if it comforts you, once this is all over I have a good feeling we’ll be going home. This is gonna be over soon.”
“But what if it isn’t over? What if dad gets hurt out there?! Then what would happen next?!”
Jack got up and grabbed Jay by the shoulders.
“We can’t worry bro! We’re just kids, what are we gonna do to stop a bat? What are we gonna do to stop a DRAGON?! Come on man calm down! There’s no way we’d be any help, we’d just slow them down!”
“You’re just scared,” Jay spat, “You always have been.”
“Shut up!”
“No you!”
“No, YOU!”
“Boys!” a woman called out to them. Both of them turned around to see their mother, Arianna, and Emma standing at the cave tunnel that led to the rest of the mansion.
“Sorry mom! Jack’s just being a coward!” Jay told her. Emma ignored the two brothers’ feud and rolled her eyes. She turned to the others, who looked at her intently.
“Buddy and Tago have come back. They say that this is an emergency,” Emma claimed. Steve ran up Dr. Yang’s back, and Dr. Yang immediately rushed down the tunnel. Sylas followed suit along with Ruby and Neddy. Sylveevee’s children seemed to already be gone and in the mansion. Jay sighed and walked past Jack, bumping into his shoulder.
Jack looked back. Erica was still interacting with the White Obelisk, with Sylas laying on the ground next to her, unconscious. Its automated voice rang out, and Erica slammed her fist into the terminal.
“Erica! Are you coming?”
“Not now,” Erica yelled back. She stared at the interface again, his eyes bloodshot red, “Not now…”
Jack then looked at Samuel’s pet dodo. It was crumpled on the ground, curled up and unresponsive. Jack walked up to the bird and nudged it with his finger. It didn’t make a single move.
“Poor thing,” Jack thought.
Jack turned away and rushed down the tunnel to meet with the others.
~
Emma’s eyes darted along the room as the chattering of creatures and humans alike filled her senses. There were a lot more creatures considering a bunch had been abstracted not too long ago. It was already beginning to turn night, and the sun was setting over the lands.
“Okay, is everyone here?” Buddy asked, looking amongst the crowd.
“My husband isn’t here,” Arianna pointed out while raising her hand.
“Neither is my sister or Drake,” Skyocean observed.
“And Joe Kong isn’t here either…” Dr. Yang muttered.
Just then, the flapping of wings gushed out from the outside. All eyes turned to see a magenta wyvern with Drake, Aragorn, and a strange fox on top land in the backyard. The wyvern transformed into Sylveevee, and the three rushed into the home.
“Arianna!” Aragorn cried out.
“Aragorn!” she called back. The two embraced. As soon as they pulled away, Arianna began to look Aragorn up and down.
“Are you hurt? You’re hurt aren’t you?”
The fox, which had seven tails, somehow, looked at the couple with a smile. She looked around the room, but that smile quickly turned to a frown. She blinked her eyes rapidly and took a seat on the floor. Sheeri looked at the fox suspiciously.
“Hey wait a minute, who are you?”
“Someone who helped us,” Drake said, “If she didn’t step in to help, we would’ve all been dead. We had a run in with Jethezzar.”
“She has valuable information too,” Sylveevee said. Emma stared at the fox and squinted her eyes at her.
Then the doors burst open. Joe Kong was at the door, along with an awesome-looking black bear and some guy in a cloak who seemed pretty mad. Joe Kong ran up to the dining table with the bear following suit.
“I found people willing to help us in our cause,” Joe Kong explained. He turned to the two new recruits, “This is Bear, and this is Ben.”
Andrew turned to face the two. He stepped over to the two, and Bear looked at Andrew with bulging eyes.
“I’m glad you two want to help us. You too, fox,” Andrew said. Bear grinned and his tongue hung out of his mouth goofily.
“I love to help!” Bear declared. Andrew turned to Ben, looked him up and down, and then reached his hand out to shake.
“Pleasure to meet you too.”
Ben reached his hand out and gripped onto his hand tightly, shaking up and down.
“Of course,” Ben said. He was sweating and his legs were quivering. Neddy gasped at the sight of him.
“Yooo! Ben! I didn’t know you were brought here too!” Neddy yelled out. Ben turned to face him with a sneer. He raised his eyebrow.
“Who are you.”
“What? It’s me, Neddy!”
Ben looked at him with irritation.
“Who’s that.”
“You’ve gotta remember me-”
“Nah. I don’t.”
Andrew turned to face everyone.
“So that’s everyone! Except for Erica and Sylas, but I’ve been made aware that she’s busy with something important,” Andrew said, “Now Buddy what did you want to tell us?”
Buddy looked at everyone, and stepped up onto the table.
“War is coming. I had a vision… The city was in ruins and there were bad guys everywhere. There’s almost as many as us. I was thinking we could come up with a new plan.”
“Wait a minute, HOW many of them are there?” Sheeri said, fear in her eyes.
“Just as many as us-”
“Woah!” Rage suddenly said, flicking her tongue, “Sounds like even more fun! So what’s the big deal? Why couldn’t we have just stuck with the original plan?”
“Because, one of those bad guys is a big dragon that’s even bigger than this mansion!” Buddy screamed, “Of course we need a new plan!”
“Bigger than this mansion?” Sunhigh shuddered, “That’s pretty big.”
“So yeah. We need a new plan. Any thoughts?”
They all began to discuss and talk, but Emma was distracted. She stared off at Ben, who was staring at the fox intently. He had a pair of sunglasses on and was wearing a gold heart locket that was identical to Aurora’s, but she could still tell he was intrigued with her. The fox looked back at Ben, but didn’t seem to think anything out of the ordinary.
Emma’s medallion suddenly began to glow, and a vision passed Emma’s eyesight. The same man that she was looking at was hanging still from a noose, his hands bound behind his back. He was in a very very VERY familiar environment.
The city of Tortuga.
There were screams and gunshots, and then a glitch reverberated throughout her ears, and the man’s dead body disappeared, sucked into a blue portal.
The vision ended, and Emma stared at Ben with shock.
“This man was in Tortuga?!” Emma thought with dilated pupils, “But I don’t know who this is! Who is this man?”
Ben suddenly slammed his fists on the dining table, looking at the fox with a stare.
“Sunny, what are you doing in that fox’s body?”
“Whaa? How do you know my name?” Sunny asked, taken aback. All eyes turned to Ben.
“Hey, you interrupted me,” Orbit sneered at him. Ben pointed a finger at the fox, who they now knew was Sunny.
“I’m just asking a question. Why are you a fox now?”
“You’re asking as if I know!” Sunny shouted back, “I just came to be this way! I didn’t ask to be like this! I don’t, I don’t even know who you are! Why are you in my business?”
Ben glanced away. He had a frown on his face, as if he were disappointed.
“Anyway, back to what I was saying. You said they are all situated at the Black Obelisk because they can bring in more villains? Well why don’t some of us go there to deactivate it so they can’t bring in more-”
“Well we tried that last time and almost got killed. So no,” Ruby firmly said. She looked at Sunny with a raised eyebrow. It was as if she recognized her. Sunny shifted uncomfortably. She whispered something into Neddy’s ear. Then he whispered something into Aurora’s ear. Aurora scratched her head.
“Probably just a coincidence,” Aurora muttered.
“Well if they’re all coming here… Maybe not,” Erica said. All eyes turned to her. She came in with a variety of TEK weapons in her hands that ranged from bows to swords to axes to knives. She dropped them onto the dining table.
“Woah where’d you get that from Erica?” Andrew asked. Erica gave a soft smile to him.
“I managed to spawn in a bunch of these… fully powered with element too. It had a limit, but this should help out those without powers.”
“You really do amaze me Erica,” Andrew commented, picking up a TEK knife to inspect it. Erica smiled at his compliment.
“So you’re saying a bunch of us should go to the Black Obelisk?” Aragorn said.
“Yeah.”
“But who?”
Jay stepped forward.
“I want to go!”
Aragorn looked at Jay with a glare.
“No Jay. I won’t allow any of you to go out and-”
“Dad, if everyone’s going here then there won’t be anyone to defend it! You’re all adults and strong. I’m just… a kid. You need all the strength to fight the big battle. So let me go!”
Aragorn sighed, and Arianna gently grabbed Aragorn’s arm.
“Let him. He’s grown.”
Aragorn looked Arianna in the eyes with a smile.
“I guess you’re right. Okay Jay. You can go.”
Moonhigh and Sunhigh stepped forward.
“We want to go too,” Moonhigh said, turning to Sylveevee, “Can we go?”
Sylveevee crouched down and pinched both of their cheeks with a smile,
“Fine. Just don’t get hurt, okay?”
Andrew turned to the children.
“Should we ask Tago or one of the flyers to bring you there then?”
Jay opened his mouth to answer, when suddenly his medallion began to glow. Aragorn looked on with wide eyes, as a portal manifested behind Jay. The others gasped as Jay turned around to face the portal in awe.
“This is my medallion power?” Jay realized, “Sick…”
“I guess not,” Andrew said. He sighed, closing his eyes to relax, “You three can go now. Stay safe, okay?”
Before the three left, they all grabbed weapons off the table, and entered the portal. The portal lingered on for a little longer, and Jack stared at the portal sadly.
Sylveevee stepped forward to talk next.
“I wanted to say something. Sunny helped us discover some valuable information-”
She paused and looked on to see Jack grab a weapon off the table. Without any warning, Jack jumped into the portal right before it disappeared. Everyone just looked on in surprise, before the conversation continued.
“We found these books at the manor, right? Well we think that these are the uh, ‘universes’, we come from,” Sylveevee explained. She pulled out a stack of seven books and spread them out across the table. Everyone immediately began to mutter amongst each other. Erica’s eyes widened, and Andrew looked at her in worry.
“Just look. Queen of Aberration. That sounds like me,” Sylveevee proclaimed. Aragorn seemed distraught after staring at his story. Darkhide couldn’t believe it.
“I- But why? Why are they all books? I thought- are we even real?” Darkhide asked. He turned white, “We’re not real are we?”
Everyone began to talk amongst themselves, some felt hopeless and bitter while others were filled with rage. Aragorn just looked at the books on the table, his fists clenched as he read the title,
“The Terrible Demise of Tortuga.”
He grabbed the book off the table, and looked at the front cover to reveal the author of the story.
“SunnyFox57,” Aragorn read from the cover, “Wrote this book. Wonder who that could be!”
All eyes turned to Sunny. She cowered in her seat.
“No wonder how you knew my name! You wrote our story!” Aragorn yelled at her, “Who even are you?!”
“I-I-”
“I what huh? Are you even real?! ARE YOU THE ONES WHO PUT US HERE!” Aragorn bellowed, reaching over the table to grab her. The others quickly restrained him, and Andrew rushed over to shield Sunny.
“Stop this! This all has to be some sort of misunderstanding!” Andrew screamed.
“Don’t be naive Andrew! That fox is playing with our lives and you know it!”
Meanwhile, Aurora was inspecting her own story. She looked at the cover, and then her eyes widened. She glanced over at Ben.
“Now this can’t be a coincidence!” Aurora slammed the book onto the table and pointed at the author of the story.
“What? You’re a writer Ben? You didn’t tell me!” Bear exclaimed with surprise.
“No no no NO!” Ruby screamed, “This is madness!”
Yelling and screaming filled the room, and Ben clenched his fists. He slammed his fists onto the dining table.
“SHUT UP!” Ben shouted.
Everyone became silent. Ben looked everyone in the eyes. He could hear all their thoughts screaming at him to kick him out, kill him, or to tear him apart limb from limb.
“First of all. I quit writing. I couldn’t have written this book. Second of all. Why the hell would I write about ME suffering? Why would I write about ME going onto an island I couldn’t escape when I was about to graduate? WHY WOULD I DO THAT?! Wouldn’t I want to give myself a happier ending?!”
Everyone looked at him with deadpan expressions. Sunny seemed terrified. Ben glanced over at her.
“And Sunny? It must be a coincidence. Let’s be for real. There are plenty of Sunny’s out there. If any of us really had the power to bring you all into this weird place, why would we want to help you? Wouldn’t we want to kick back and watch the chaos unfold?”
Andrew dropped his head sadly.
“I’m sorry for the troubles you two. We’re all just… really stressed right now. They could come at any moment,” Andrew apologized, looking out the window, “Please. Let’s just leave it at that, everyone. We all come from different universes, but so what? We still need to work together to find a way home. And those villains are in the way so we need to stop them!”
Everyone let out a cheer, and began to pump their fists in the air.
“Yeah let’s go beat those bad guys uppppp!” Bear screamed out into the air with both of his paws in the air. Freya laughed and screamed back in delight.
“Beat up those beasts!”
Ben didn’t follow with the cheers. He stared at the book some more.
“Why would I write a book like this?” Ben thought.
A sudden realization struck Ben in the head.
Ben’s hairs stood up on end, and he looked at the wall in horror. He heard the sound of wings flapping.
“EVERYONE WATCH OUT!”
KABOOM!
The walls were instantly torn apart, and a blue dragon let out a ferocious roar into the home. Ben jumped out of the way of the falling wall. Everyone screamed and began to run. Freya stood her ground and pulled out her battle axe. The dragon licked his lips.
“Delicious humans… I’m going to have some fun!” Fjordur’s Dragon snarled. Freya grinned.
“Oh we’ll see about that…”
Drake rushed up and transformed into a wyvern.
“It’s two against one!”
Nova suddenly rushed in and blasted an ice beam at Fjordur’s Dragon, which he promptly dodged.
“Make it three!”
Fjordur’s Dragon sneered, and suddenly a woman with a dagger and a man with a sword dropped down from the dragon’s back. Captain Shortstacks and Willow.
“Then allow us to even the odds,” Willow shot back.
~
Everyone else was evacuating the mansion as fast as they could. All the flyers were carrying the non-fliers off the mansion and to the ground level. Andrew looked back in worry at the mansion as he stepped onto a transformed Sylveevee.
“We can’t let them reach the White Obelisk!” Andrew yelled at them all. Aragorn, Arianna, and Emma suddenly jumped onto Sylveevee’s back, catching Andrew off guard.
“The others got it handled,” Aragorn said. Arianna was clutching onto Aragorn’s arm tightly, while Emma was holding onto Arianna’s hand. Andrew looked back at the dragon with worry.
“I’m not worried about Freya. But the others…”
“Don’t worry about them. We need to leave though. Now.”
KAKRASH!
BOOM!
ROARRRR!
A humongous dragon began to swipe away at the buildings, causing them to topple down and crash down below, creating grand explosions. Apex let out a roar and began to breathe fire into the streets. A small bat was flying beside it. Drain. And a human was running along, jumping up onto a stream of blood. Jerry.
“Who’s going to handle that?” Aragorn asked.
SWOOSH!
Sheeri flew past them, and riding her was Skyocean, Buddy, Dr. Yang and Steve. Steve let out a cheer as Sheeri flew towards Apex.
“WE’RE GONNA HIT WE’RE GONNA HIT!” Steve screamed.
“I think they got it handled,” Andrew said.
Another roar echoed from the other side of the city. All eyes turned to see the King Titan walking along the streets, bashing his fist into building after building and crushing a few civilians along the way. Andrew suddenly got a weird feeling in his gut.
“Sylveevee, drop me off toward that thing. I’m gonna fight it.”
“What- Are you sure? That thing is giving me final boss vibes-”
“I’m sure. Just bring me there.”
Sylveevee gulped, but before she left two Shadowmanes clambered onto her. Orbit and Moonbeam. Sylveevee gritted her teeth and flew as fast as she could toward the King Titan. The King Titan looked up and sneered.
“Pitiful things. Leave before I-”
The King Titan was interrupted as Andrew jumped off and let out a bellow of rage, taking out his TEK bow and aiming at the King Titan. Emerald glided into the scene while Tago flew in with Darkhide on his back.
The King Titan sneered and pulled his fist back.
Sylveevee turned away. She began to fly around the city, scouting the area with her eyes for any potential enemies.
“Hmmm,” Sylveevee muttered.
“Plummet,” a voice echoed in her mind. Sylveevee gasped, and she felt herself drop to the ground.
CRASH!
Aragorn, Arianna, Orbit and Moonbeam went tumbling off, and a huge Reaper Queen came into view, licking her tongue and swinging her tail round and round.
“Delicious, delicious prey,” Sig implanted as she began to walk up to them.
~
Meanwhile, Aurora, Joe Kong, Bear, Snake, Rage, Ben, and Sunny were running along the streets, looking at the chaos unfolding. A fireball flew close and almost hit them, smashing into a nearby building and causing it to collapse in front of them.
Aurora looked around worriedly.
“We need to split up. We need to find as many enemies to defeat as possible and it’s not like all of us gathered up like this will be much help in a fight,” Aurora decided. Bear nodded.
“Fine by me. Ben, fox girl, and raptors… Let’s move!” Bear decided. Bear began to run off into a random direction, and Ben, Sunny, Snake, and Rage quickly followed. Emma looked at Ruby and Neddy.
“Let’s go, you two.”
The trio ran off in the opposite direction, leaving Aurora and Joe to their own devices. The two turned around but Joe was quickly greeted with a punch to the face by a fellow Gigantopithecus.
POW!
Joe was sent flying, and Aurora quickly pulled out her spear. Lieutenant Felswand, Ember, and Prince Caldren all stood together in unison. Ember grinned at the woman, and pointed his talon at her.
“Kill her.”
~
Michael looked around nervously. He stepped foot onto the street, and Lil Jack followed. After all the villains had arrived at the city, both of them had been left to their own devices. They had been passed around villain to villain, but nobody wanted them on their team. Now they were all alone.
“Where are we gonna go now?” Lil Jack asked. Michael thought Lil Jack was a massive weirdo considering he had nothing but his underwear on, but he found it comforting being around someone scared of him. Michael’s eyes darted around, when suddenly a blur of red hair passed by. His eyes widened.
“Could it be?” Michael thought. He called out, “Emma! Is that you?”
Michael began to run off after her.
“W-Wait for me!” Lil Jack cried back, running after him.
~
Ben, Sunny, Snake, Rage, and Bear were running along the streets, dodging falling buildings and fireballs. Ben was beginning to tire out, sweat pouring up on his face.
“I don’t spot that wyvern Joe was talking about,” Ben said. Bear looked at Ben in confusion.
“Who’s Joe?”
Snake stifled a snort.
WOOSH!
They all looked up to see a bronze wyvern flying up above. As soon as Bear spotted him, he suddenly shrieked and ran into the shadows.
“What the- What are you doing?!” Rage snarled at him. Bear cowered in the alleyway, covering his head.
“He’s bigger than I thought! M-Maybe you four can handle it on your own…”
Rage sighed and turned to see the wyvern land down on the ground to face them. Jethezzar seemed especially angry this time around. Smoke poured out of his nostrils and he needed to take his anger out on someone.
“You again…” Jethezzar snarled at Sunny. Sunny began to sweat, getting into a battling position. Jethezzar lunged at Sunny, but Rage quickly stepped to the side and punted him in the eye. Jethezzar let out a growl and slammed his head into her, causing her to fly away. Snake quickly jumped onto Jethezzar’s head, scratching and slashing away. Sunny rushed in for an attack, but Jethezzar quickly opened his mouth and shot fire out onto the two of them.
SWOOSH!
Sunny was sent flying away, scorch marks present on her body, while Snake was blown off from the sheer intensity and pressure of the blast. Jethezzar continued to clutch onto the rune.
“Want to run now, human?” Jethezzar sneered at him. Ben blinked his eyes. He waved his hand, and a vine shot out and wrapped itself around Jethezzar’s throat. Jethezzar began to choke, grasping and tearing away at the choker.
“Nah, I don’t think so.”
Ben rushed forward and punched Jethezzar in the face. Although that didn’t do much. Jethezzar tore the vine off his throat, and then swiped at Ben. Ben’s eyes widened.
“USE YOUR VINES TO BLOCK IT!” a voice screamed in Ben’s head. Ben quickly waved his hand, and a wall of vines emerged from the floor, latching onto Jethezzar’s claws. Jethezzar let out a snarl and opened his mouth, shooting fire at Ben.
“DIVE UNDER HIS BELLY!” the voice screamed again.
Ben took the warning and dived under his belly. Jethezzar was caught off guard, turning off his breath and turning around with a snap. Ben readied himself again, but not before whispering under his breath,
“Thank you. Again.”
“How’d he dodge all of my attacks?!” Jethezzar thought, “Could it be… No. He can’t be a seer like Peeri. They would be more prepared if otherwise. Unless…”
“Human. Are you one with the element?” Jethezzar asked him. Ben looked up at the air and scratched his head, dumbfounded.
“The what?”
“Nevermind…” Jethezzar muttered. He thought to himself, “I don’t want to deal with him now. Maybe I can just get him to join our side. He doesn’t look like he wants to be here.”
“Hey. You’re fighting on the wrong side. Join us. There’s so much to gain. You won’t regret it,” Jethezzar shouted out to him. Ben blinked his eyes a bit, before smirking.
“That was the most pathetic attempt to recruit someone to the dark side.”
Jethezzar growled and prepared to spew his fire out again. Vines grew by Ben’s side, when all of the sudden…
A sharp feeling pierced his heart.
Ben’s eyes widened. The strange squeezing sensation that continued to overcome his heart was getting worse and worse. Ben felt himself getting dizzier and dizzier, until eventually he collapsed to the ground, unconscious.
Jethezzar looked on in curiosity. He walked forward to inspect him, but suddenly a blue portal warped around his body, and he disappeared. Jethezzar’s eyes widened.
“What a peculiar human,” he thought. He scoffed, and turned around, looking at Sunny who was writhing on the ground.
“Nonetheless, I still have unfinished business with this puny thing.”
Jethezzar began to trot over to Sunny, when he heard the roar of a bear. Jethezzar freezed up, his eyes wide in horror.
“What…?”
“NOOOO!” Bear cried out, rushing out of the alleyway, “I won’t let you hurt the fox girl!”
Bear stood up on his two hind legs and glared at Jethezzar.
“Get away from her!”
~
Ben blinked his eyes, disoriented by the empty void around him. Stars sparkled and constellations brightened as he found himself waking. Ben groaned to himself as he realized where he was.
“Not this nonsense again.”
He heard the sound of a portal echo in the void, and he turned around to see a man who looked exactly like him step out. He was carrying a beating heart in his hand and a key in the other. Swirling black voids floated over his “eyes”.
“Hello again. Why didn’t you take that offer up with Jeth?” the mysterious man asked, tossing the heart up and down again. Ben clenched his fists.
“You know their forces are stronger in every way than these… heroes. Jethezzar and his allies might be your only chance to get home. You’re so close.”
The man squeezed the heart as hard as he could, and Ben let out a groan of pain, collapsing to the ground.
“Why are you willing to suffer? When the solution is so… simple?”
Ben gritted his teeth, bullets of sweat trickled down his forehead.
“That is NOT an option.”
The mysterious man just stared at Ben a little longer. Then he let out a scream of frustration and hurled the key out into the void. He got up closer to Ben and pointed a finger at his face.
“You always do what is necessary right? This IS what’s necessary!”
“That is NOT an option! I won’t do it! Why do you even care so much about going back home-”
“Don’t pretend like you have convictions to uphold. If you don’t do it, then you don’t love ████ enough! Because if you did, then it would have been an option a long time ago.”
Ben stared at him a little harder. Then, his eyes narrowed, anger boiling over. “I… Don’t love her enough? How DARE you. How DARE YOU. DOUBT ME.”
With a forceful shove, Ben sent him tumbling backward.
“How dare you challenge how much she means to me! How DARE YOU SAY THAT I DON’T LOVE HER ENOUGH!”
“Have you forgotten who I am? Have you forgotten what we’ve done? What I’ve committed myself to… Do you know what I’ve sacrificed? And it was ALL for her! Everything is for her! It’s ALL FOR HER!”
“SHE IS THE REASON I’M STILL HERE, THE REASON I’M STILL ALIVE! SHE IS EVERYTHING TO ME! ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING IS FOR HER, NOTHING ELSE CAN EVER MATTER! I WILL DO ANYTHING FOR HER! AND SHE KNOWS THAT!"
“HOW DARE YOU EVEN THINK FOR THE SLIGHTEST MOMENT THAT I DON’T LOVE HER ENOUGH TO DO ANYTHING TO GO BACK HOME! I WILL NEVER STOP TRYING, I CAN’T GIVE UP. I WILL FIND MY WAY BACK HOME!”
“EVEN IF IT KILLS ME!”
Ben let out a cry of pain, as he felt a tightening feeling around his throat. He gasped for air as he fell to his knees, gasping and choking for air. The man looked at Ben with an annoyed look.
“What was that?” Ben asked, letting out a cough, “Why did I… do that?”
Ben let out another gasp of pain. The vision of a man with a goatee and a smug smile flashed across his eyes. Ben got up from the ground, facing his doppelganger. He only replied with a smirk. And a few words too.
“It seems your killer has arrived,” the man softly told him.
A blue portal enveloped the void, and both of them disappeared.
~
“Emma! Wait up wait up!” Michael called out. He ran as fast as he could, Lil Jack following closely behind. By now the two of them noticed there were two other people, a guy and a girl who also had red hair. Michael seemed to finally catch the attention of the girl. She turned around.
“Uhhh, who the hell are you?” the other girl with red hair asked. Emma groaned as her eyes glanced over Michael’s. The guy leaned in to whisper something in Emma’s ear.
“I think that guy has a crush on youuuu!” Neddy pointed the obvious out. Emma rolled her eyes.
“You think?”
“Emma I can’t believe you’re out here in this city all alone! It’s very dangerous! Come here now so I can escort you safely out of the area,” Michael shouted at her. Emma looked at him with a green look on his face.
“And why would I want to do that?”
A look of fury crossed Michael’s face. He pounded his foot into the ground.
“Come on Emma! Those two could be dangerous! You can’t trust them!”
The other redhead looked at Michael with a sneer.
“Dude, can you not be creepy? And like, f**k off?”
The man gasped at her language.
“OMG Ruby!”
“What? We’re adults, Neddy! Young adults at that! This is perfectly normal!”
“I dunno man… We don’t wanna be a bad influence on those kids.”
“Enough! Emma, just come over here already! Stop playing hard to get! I know you like me you just want me to-”
A blue portal suddenly manifested in front of Emma and her team. Emma’s eyes opened in shock.
“Jay? He’s back already?”
It was in fact, not Jay.
Ben stepped out and looked around, his eyes dazy. Then, he spotted Michael. A smile grew on his face.
“It’s really you…”
The Omega Timeline
Chapter 35: Fireworks.
—By SunnyFox57
Aragorn, Queen Sylveevee, and Drake stood on the tallest building in the city, watching for any sign of Jethezzar. “Y’all ready?” Sylveevee asked. Drake grunted in approval. Aragorn nodded slowly. “So. The plan is that I distract the wyvern, weaken it as much as I can, then Sylveevee will take it down from the side, and only if we are in ABSOLUTE peril are you, Drake, to help.” Aragorn said, stroking his beard.
“Or when you’re about to die.” Added Drake. Sylveevee and Aragorn blinked at him. “That’s what ‘peril’ means.” Sylveevee said. Aragorn shook his head. “Okay. Y’all go ahead and scout to those buildings on the left. I’ll stay here. If I’m right, that large blob in the sky headed our way, is Jethezzar.” Aragorn said. Sylveevee and Drake quickly headed toward the buildings on the left.
Aragorn inhaled, and withdrew a sword. It was a fine blade, found in a random room in the mansion. It’s hilt was black colored, with a ruby red gem imbedded in it, and the long blade was silver and dangerously sharp. “Just like the good old days.” He muttered under his breath.
The shape of Jethezzar, the wyvern, was flying closer and closer. His scales, glittered a bronze color, as the sun hit them. A small dull glowing Rune, sat in his talons. Aragorn ground his feet into the ground and braced himself, raising the sword slightly to the side. Smoke seeped out of Jethezzar’s nostrils as he eyed Aragorn, with amusement.
“And who are you?! Are you here to stop ME?” Jethezzar bellowed proudly. A bead of sweat dripped down Aragorn’s face. “Yes.” He said, quietly. “Fool.” Jethezzar growled, a hissing sound started coming out his mouth. Aragorn recognized this sound. He’d only heard a few times, as their aren’t a lot of wyverns in his universe but he knew it well enough.
Jethezzar was very close to him now, his claws were lengthened and his jaw unhinged. Aragorn dropped to his knees just in time, as a hoard of flames burst from the wyvern’s mouth. “Ahh weak spot.” Aragorn though to himself, driving his sword into the wyvern’s stomach, as it flew above him.
Jethezzar roared with rage and struggled to regain his flying, dark blackish- red blood dripping from his stomach. Aragorn stood and faced the wyvern calmly. “Is that all you got?!” Jethezzar bellowed. Aragorn grinned, seeing a flash of magneta in his peripheral vision. “No.”
Sylveevee the wyvern suddenly appeared out of thin air, and rammed into Jethezzar’s side. She was a smaller wyvern than Jethezzar but she fought fiercely. They struggled in midair, claws grappling(Jethezzar was only using one claw though, because he was clutching the rune, with the other.) at each other. Aragorn swiped at Jethezzar with his sword, whenever he got close enough to him.
Jethezzar, unfortunately was more powerful than Sylveevee. With a burst of speed, he shoved her into a empty building, toppling it and her to the ground. Sylveevee the wyvern was held, tightly under his claws. She struggled mightily and let out a burst of flames at his face. They leapt of his scales, not harming him. “Weak.” He growled. Jethezzar’s gold eyes glittered with success. “And now you will die!”
“NOOOO!!!” Drake cried, transforming into a wyvern, flying out from his hiding place and slamming into Jethezzar’s neck. Jethezzar hit the ground with a thud. “You cannot defeat me!!” Jethezzar shouted and shook Drake off.
Drake and Slyveevee faced him, preparing themselves for his attack. “There’s three of us against you. Give up.” Drake growled, his tail flicking anxiously. “You’re not even real wyvern’s. You’re humans. Fascinating….but weak. You deserve what is coming for you.” Jethezzar said slowly, steam rolling from the corners of his mouth and the hissing sound occurring. Aragorn rolled off the roof of the house and ran up to Sylveevee and Drake, holding his sword high. “Give up.” Sylveevee growled.
Jethezzar smirked arrogantly. “Against what? You puny humans? Ha, as if I would ever do that!” Aragorn’s medallion glowed and Jethezzar, Sylveevee, and Drake’s shadows shifted. “We’ll see about that.” He whispered, closing his eyes, zeroing in on the shadows.
“GET HIM!!!” Sylveevee shouted and she and Drake, and the shadow wyverns charged Jethezzar.
“WHAT BLACK MAGIC IS THIS?!?!” Jethezzar roared, ripping apart one of the shadow wyverns with his sharp teeth. He spotted Aragorn standing idly by, eyes closed. “You!” He swiped Sylveevee and Drake to the ground with his long spiky tail. They fell to the ground and transformed back into humans. They had grown too weak. Sylveevee had a scratch running across her left cheek and Drake’s right arm was very red as if burned.
Jethezzar stomped over to Aragorn and immediately the remaining shadow wyvern disappeared as Aragorn was very afraid, and accidentally released control over it. Jethezzar grabbedAragorn gently(Which is not very gently if you’re a human.) with one claw and flew up into the air, grinning evilly. “I’m afraid this IS the end. You humans put up a good fight but now…you will die. I haven’t killed a human in a long time. I’ve forgotten their agonizing screams. Maybe you’re care to refresh my memory..” Jethezzar hissed.
He unhinged his jaw, prepared to deliver the last blow. Aragorn was too weak to fight back. He sighed, preparing for the end.
But it wasn’t the end. A bright reddish- orange blur slammed into Jethezzar’s other claw and the rune started plummeting to the ground. Jethezzar’s focus turned to the rune. He gasped, dropped Aragorn and flew after his precious rune.
Aragorn fell. Luckily he landed in a soft rose bush and didn’t break his back. Something light landed on top of him. Aragorn gasped for air and looked up. Amber eyes faced him. It was a strange creature with long ears, amber eyes, seven tails, and a reddish- orange body. It was a fox. A fox with seven tails. Above all the tails was a white marking that looked like a five. A rough rope collar was around it’s neck.
Sylveevee and Drake ran up. “Aragorn!! Are you okay?!” Drake called. Sylveevee limped up. They drew back when they saw the fox in him. “Don’t move I’ll kill it.” Drake said in a low voice. The fox’s eyes widened and it opened its mouth and… “No!!! Please don’t try to kill me!! I’m not food!! And I just saved this guy!” The fox protested, it’s voice sounded feminine.
All three humans, jaw’s dropped. “You can-you can talk?” Sylveevee gasped. The fox nodded slowly. “Yeah.” She said. “Can you-get-off-me?” Aragorn gasped. The fox’s voice sounded vaguely familiar to him but he couldn’t place it. The fox grinned sheepishly. “Yeah, yeah, sorry.” She hopped off him and sat down on her hind legs. Aragorn stood up, pulling thorns out of his hair. “Where’s Jethezza?” Aragorn growled. “Probably gone. He doesn’t like his rune in danger.” The fox said, softly. “Where are you from?” Drake asked. The fox wrinkled her nose at him, swishing her tails. “Well….technically I’m from a universe called “The Arks Over heaven and was transported here a LONG time ago. I wasn’t always a fox. I used to be a human, I got transported to-to a universe that I created. And almost got hanged by the people I created. Then everything glitched and I appeared here. I think I got mixed up with another version of me from another universe. A version of a fox me….so here I am! I was just hanging out, when I saw Aragorn about to become barbecue and went to save him.” The fox said.
Aragorn blinked. “How do you know my name?” He asked. The fox bit her lip, as if realizing she’d done something wrong. “Well-um-it’s kind of hard to-explain-uhh…never mind.” Aragorn frowned distrustfully. “What’s your name?” Asked Sylveevee. The fox smiled slyly at them, and cocked her head. Her tails shifted excitedly, as if she’d remembered something very important. “I forgot! My friends call me Sunny. My name is Sunny.”
The Omega Timeline Chapter 30: What Happened at The Dark Obelisk
Once all four of them were on the plane and Andrew refilled the fuel, Erica started firing up, she was nervous doing this. This was her first time flying a plane, she had done a couple simulators when she was still in college but never flown before. Sylas was humming an old tune and muttering something about a danger zone as the engines came to life. Erica quickly did a preliminary check on things before looking back at everyone and then looking at Sylas on her right.
“Everyone ready for this?” Erica asked,
“Yes!” Ruby said
“Ready!” Neddy said
“Let’s do this!!” Sylas said excitedly. Erica pressed some buttons and flipped some switches and the jet began to hover off the ground.
“Alright, launch in tee minus 5, 4, 3, 2-”
“Punch it Chewie!!!!” Sylas shouted.
“1” The plane flew fast out of the hanger and into the blue sky.
As they reached a certain altitude, Erica could hear Ruby and Neddy whispering and giggling in the back, she looked over her shoulder and saw they weren’t talking like they were suspicious or talking bad on someone but rather in a smitten with each other way. She noticed Neddy’s implant was glowing and was wondering why it was doing that, but she wasn’t really concerned about it. She smirked and looked back the sky ahead.
‘These two don’t seem too bad. It doesn’t mean I trust them though. But I can probably ease on them compared.’ She thought to herself. ‘These two do seem rather adorable together.’, she reached her right hand across and itched her left hand. She came out of her heard Sylas unstrapped himself and looked over and Erica.
“Here, let me fly.” Sylas said, Erica raised an eyebrow at him.
“You’ve flown a jet before?” Erica asked suspiciously.
“Yeah I’ve flown a private jet… once… and I almost killed everyone.” Sylas said as he scratched the back his head. This answered Erica’s suspicions.
“Then I’m probably not going to let you fly this Sylas. We’ve got passengers that don’t want to die.” Erica said, they sat there in silence for a moment
“So, you’ve flown a plane before?” Sylas asked
“No but I’ve-” “You have no experience flying yet you won’t let me fly?” Sylas said in a whispering whine.
“I do have more experience than you, but I’ve never flown a plane before. But I flown many advanced flight simulators before so this isn’t hard for me to do.” Erica retorted. She looked over at Sylas who was sulking a bit and she rolled her eyes.
“Look, we each have skills the others aren’t good at. Yours is computer sciences, Andrew’s a survival expert, Freya’s a combat expert and I know a lot about the Arks and if needed I can fly a plane. We all have are skilled at important things.” Erica said, however Sylas stayed quiet.
‘This is going to be a long, flight.’
But to Erica’s surprise, the flight was short. Less than an hour to arrive. Erica landed only a little distance away from the obelisk. She noticed that it was pretty dark and assumed it was getting late. The plane landing was slightly rough. But with no on board casualties or any damage done to the plane so it was a success. Sylas was annoyed with her for not letting him fly the plane and gave her a huff. Erica just rolled her eyes. He was as bad as a six year old when he was sulking.
“Alright, let’s unbuckle and see what this Obelisk has to say about itself.” Erica said, everyone began unbuckling their seatbelts and getting whatever they needed for their soon encounter. When they finally had everything that they thought they could need, they exited the plane. The area was a wasteland, not much different to the wasteland of Earth. However something was different, flickering lights similar to glitches appeared and disappeared almost like lightning strikes would. A low, black, ominous fog hung over the entire area blocking out most of the sunlight.
“Well, if this doesn’t give you villain vibes, I don’t know what does. Let’s go back to the mansion.” Sylas said walking back into the jet. Erica turned back to him and grabbed the neck of his shirt.
“Oh no you’re not. We got to see if we can stop whatever’s happening here.” Erica said,
“Well there’s someone here, or at least nearby.” Neddy said looking down at his implant as it glowed.
“You think it’s Ember and Drain?” Ruby asked,
“See, this place is like a real no no Erica. We should leave like now.” Sylas said, beginning to try to pull himself away from Erica. But she was stronger than he was and wasn’t going to let go.
“It still doesn’t change the fact that we need to stop this obelisk from doing its mind tampering. We need to at least see how it’s doing that. And besides, we outnumber them, I doubt they’ll mess with us.” Erica said as she started walking with Sylas in hand, Ruby and Neddy both looked at each other and shrugged before heading off with them. However, Ruby and Neddy noticed something as they walked away from the jet. Neddy’s implant began fading as they got further and further away from the jet. Neddy looked up and was about to say something to Erica and Sylas, but they were talking about the obelisk. Neddy looked at Ruby for a moment.
“So does that mean that they left or we’re walking away from someone?” Neddy asked,
“Do you think someone stowed away on the plane? I don’t see any hiding places here.” Ruby asked.
“I don’t know, the fog is pretty thick, and who would’ve tried coming here? Samuel? Aurora? One of them? Let’s just ignore it for right now and catch up to those two.” Neddy said and Ruby nodded in agreement. And they ran off, as they did. They heard Sylas scream and Erica trying to quiet him down.
“Quiet down, do you want Drain and Ember to know we’re here!” Erica whispered loudly,
“Maybe, yeah!! Maybe they should know I can very well wipe us all out to kingdom come by mistyping the wrong key in!!” Sylas shouted in a whispering tone.
“What’s going on?” Neddy asked,
“Nothings going on, Sylas is overreacting.” Erica said
“You told him, didn’t you?” Ruby asked
“What? You knew?! Erica!! You told her this before telling me?!” Sylas screeched quietly.
“Yeah, she knew. I told her you were being too cocky and needed a reality check. Now let’s get moving.” Erica said with irritation.
“Can someone please explain what this was about?” Neddy asked in a confused state.
“I’ll tell you on the way.” Ruby said.
The four walked cautiously as they were entering a small crag that shielded the terminal . Ruby was explaining what Erica told her earlier about Sylas. Sylas was as pale as a ghost. Erica knew what she had to do, even though she would hate it.
“Sylas, you’ll do fine. You just have… to…” Erica stopped what she was saying as she noticed four silhouettes in the fog ahead.
“Erica, what we’re you-” “Shh” Erica quietly as she pointed ahead at the silhouettes. Everyone’s eyes widened. And they watched as a fifth person appeared from the terminal.
“ABSTRACTION COMPLETE ’THE RIDDLES OF THE PHOENIX SERIES’ CHARACTER, CAPTAIN SHORTSTACKS- ERM, CAPTAIN FRANCIS HUGO, ABSTRACTED.”
“What are we going to do?” Neddy asked, Erica looked around and noticed the loose rocks and then an idea formed.
“Ruby, can you make a couple longer pieces of tripwire? I have an idea.”
* * * *
“And why do I get the feeling you are all bad guys?” Neddy said, the five others looked at them with malicious smiles on there faces.
“Funny, we were thinking the same thing.”
“Allow me to introduce myself. I’m Milo. And your names are?” Milo said grinning, Erica and the others ignored this.
“So are you?” Erica said.
“Are we what?”
“Bad guys?”
“Oh that… no. You are.” Milo said,
“How are we the bad guys in this situation?” Erica said.
“Well you came to either stop us or this thing. In my eyes, that’s a bad guy.” Milo said smiling.
“But this place is messing with all of our minds!!” Erica said.
“Don’t really know, don’t care in the slightest. Now do you care to surrender or die?”
“Can I say something!” Sylas interjected, “My word that man is short,” he said getting off track as he pointed to the captain, Captain Shortstacks eyes began to fill with anger. “he’s even shorter than I am!!” Sylas said.
“You know, as a citizen you can be arrested and punished for making fun of a captain of the British navy.” Shortstacks commented, gritting his teeth.
“Yeah, well I’m not a British citizen.” Sylas said.
“Was that all you were going to say?” Milo said irritatedly,
“Oh right, no. What I was going to say is. If you want us, you have to catch us!! RUN FOR IT!!!” Sylas shouted and all four ran back down the path they came from.
“You four circle from the sides, I’ll take them from behind.” Milo said as he began running after them.
He chased them through the crag and began closing the gap on them, for some reason they slowed down for a moment and continued running afterwards. He continued closing the gap until he tripped on something and heard a loud thud. He stopped to look at what he tripped over only to see the rock walls collapse on top of him.
Erica and the others were still running, she looked behind her to see the rock walls tumbled down. She really hoped that whoever tripped the wire got out of the way of the rocks. But she wasn’t going to cry over it if they didn’t. These three she was with didn’t deserve death or punishment of torture. They all slowed down and stopped for a minute to look at the rubble that blocked the path behind them.
“Do you think that stopped them?” Neddy asked. Erica looked to her left and saw two coming from around the crag. And started running right at them
“Nope, we’re gonna have to split up. Don’t lead them to the plane. Neddy, you and Sylas go right, me and Ruby will go left.” Erica said
“You do realize that splitting up is the worst thing to do in any book or movie right?”
“Just do it Sylas!!” Erica yelled, and the four split up and went opposite directions. What they didn’t notice however was the rubble of rock beginning to move.
* * * *
Sylas and Neddy ran away from the other and the jet. He didn’t know why this was necessary to run away from the plane but he didn’t question it. They ran away until they heard a familiar roar. They stopped in their tracks and turned around to see a Reaper come from the crag pathway and started running straight towards Erica and Ruby. Neddy turned towards Sylas with fear.
“We have to do something right? We can’t let that kill them!!” Neddy said, his voice cracking as he said this. Sylas wanted to do something, but what could they do. He didn’t know, he just stood there not knowing what to do. Imagining possible scenarios and most, being the worst case scenario. Everything around him blocked out he thought of his ally, his friend dying. He thought of Neddy’s friend dying with her and neither of them being able to do anything.
“Sylas!!!”
Sylas snapped out a second to late as he felt a sharp pain pierce his leg and falling to his knees. The short man with the sword walked out from behind Sylas. He looked down on Sylas, even though it wasn’t much of an angle difference Sylas thought.
“Revolting rebel. Deserving of a a pirate’s punishment.” The man said, he turned to Neddy who was in a head lock by a half naked teen about the same age as him.
“Now then, for you. You will tell us everything you know or deal with my wrath.” The man said, Neddy said nothing. Sylas heard Neddy yell in pain as the man slashed his side, the guy holding Neddy in place gasped and looked at the man.
“Hey, that was way too close!!” The kid said,
“Oh shut up!!” The man said be said the same thing to Neddy who again didn’t answer. The man slashed his arms and this repeated several times, with each time the man sliced Neddy’s Arms and Legs and Neddy yelling out in pain. The man looked at him with fury.
“Give me an answer!”
“Enough! I’ll tell you, just stop hurting him.” Sylas said as he got up. His eyes were full of tears and anger.
“Fine, then tell me everything yo-” “Yeah, yeah, but before I do. I gotta say you look even shorter than I first saw you. You gotta be a dwarf or something. Do you like to eat coal instead of actual food?” Sylas said maliciously cutting of the man, this sent the man over the edge into a blind fury as the man went to stab into Sylas but Sylas dodged it and smiled as he did.
“Is that the best you got? Your both a lousy swordsman and a dwarf. Why don’t you just use an axe and play the part.” Sylas said and watched as his plan worked as the Brit got madder, he started swung his sword for his head and dodged it and then the Brit swung at his chest and again Sylas dodged it. Sylas thought it was time to make his move and knock this guy out and swung and punched the man in the face. The man staggered back and looked at Sylas with rage who have a face regretting all his choices.
“You hit like a toddler.” The man remarked before swinging his sword again. Which again Sylas swiftly dodged, only get a punched square in the face. He fell to the ground and looked up only to see the back end of the man’s sword come straight at him.
Captain Shortstacks looked down at the unconscious Sylas on the ground, and he raised his sword over him. This man hit every single nerve in this man’s body. And he lost it on this one punitive man.
“I don’t care what information he has, he’s dying right now!!”
“NOO!!” Neddy yelled as he shoved his way out of Lil Jack’s grip and ran towards him. Shortstacks turned around and aimed his sword at Neddy who stopped in his tracks. His eyes were red with rage and anger.
“Enough of these shenanigans!! Now, I am going to take you both to the mister Milo and I will plunge my sword into your friend in front of you and your friends and ask the same question I have been asking. Now Jack, please make sure to completely secure this man or so help me!!” Shortstacks bellowed.
* * * *
Erica and Ruby ran as fast as they could but the two behind them were catching up. Erica looked at Ruby who looked back at her. She looked frightened and scared. Suddenly a loud and familiar roar came from behind them. Erica looked behind to see a Reaper quickly approaching them. She looked next to them at a tree line. She knew one of them could use this as an escape while the other distracted and took the fall. She looked at Ruby, barely an adult and in love. Something she hadn’t felt in who knows how long, to her only a few months ago. But truthfully it was centuries ago for her. She knew what she had to do.
“Run in the trees and hide.” Erica yelled as they ran.
“What?”
But before she realized. Erica dead stopped. Ruby stopped and looked behind her.
“WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!” Ruby screamed.
“Go into the woods. One of us has to stay safe.” Erica said,
“That’s crazy, we ca-” “Just Go, NOW!!” Erica yelled, Ruby though didn’t seem like she was going to do it, she took a step forward then hesitated before running into the woods.
“Run Ruby!! Don’t let them find you!!” Erica yelled as the Reaper and the other two came and encircled her. The Reaper immediately pushed her over with ease and pinned her to the ground.
“Now do you have any last words before we kill you and your allies.” Milo spoke. Erica was stunned at first hearing it, she wasn’t expecting the man they talked to before to be a shapeshifter. This made her think that he was from wherever Queen Sylveevee came from.
“I don’t know, it doesn’t look like you have them anywhere?” Erica mocked, the Reaper got mad and looked to his left and then smiled and it made Erica concerned. “Why don’t you look to your right and see for yourself.” He said, she looked over to see Neddy walking over with the short man holding a sword to his back and a half naked kid dragging Sylas over to them. When they got close enough, Captain Shortstacks kicked Neddy down to his knees and Neddy looked at Erica.
“I’m sorry… I don’t know what happened to get us into this mess. But Sylas tried getting us out of it.” Neddy said,
“Quiet you!!” Shortstacks spat.
“Now, do you have any last words before you become a example to your allies?” Milo said grinning. Erica took a deep breath before looking back to the Reaper.
“Well, to tell you something your missing one, and if I’m going to die in front of my allies. I’ll be glad to tell them honestly. I’ll be glad to never come across your ugly, human face again.” Erica said, Milo sneered and readied his tail to stab her. She close her eyes, and thought for a moment as she prepared for death. Thinking about someone from her past, a very long time ago.

Chapter 28: obelisks of dark and light
—By Wyvernian
After Yang shoved Steve back in his satchel, they saw Sheeri flying towards them, when she landed she was out of breath. “Sheeri, what happened?” Emerald asked. “D-drain, and Ember, they are trying to bring more villains! They brought some crazy fire wyvern, I stood no chance..” She said. “So what do we do?” Buddy asked. “We go to the obelisk and tear them to pieces before they can bring anyone else!” Darkhide suggested, Joe seemed to agree, Emerald did not. “We can’t, if we do that who knows how many others they could’ve already brought in, let alone how dangerous. We need to regroup with the others.” She said. “But they’re scattered across this entire place.” Nova said. “Then we’ll have to split up, some of us will go to extinction and some can go back to the City.” Yang said. “What if someone else went to investigate the black obelisk?” Sheeri said. “Why on earth would they do something like that?!” Darkhide said. Right when he said this they heard a jet fly over their heads and turn towards the black obelisk, Darkhide facepalmed, “humans…” he said. “Ok, so who is going wher-” Emeralds sentance was cut short as they teleported with a white flash.
“What is this place?” Jay asked. “A cave.” Jack said. Jay glared at him. “It’s strange, this morning I was mad at Drake, now I don’t even care.” Sylveevee said. “Perhaps this obelisk has the opposite effect of the black one.” Syocean said. They walked up to the obelisk and a female automated voice said. “Scanning.” They waited for a few silent moments, “subjects are heroic, activate all systems.” When it said this a pillar rose out of the floor and displayed a large hologram. “Story intersection, characters detected, opening files of: Terrible demise of Tortuga, and Queen of Aberration.” “Wait, those are the same titles as those books we found!” Emma said. “What do they mean?” Sylveevee said. “Access denied, Explanation prohibited.” The obelisk said. “Then what isn’t prohibited.” Aragorn said. “Accessible functions, Abstraction of heroes, vitals, teleportation, world ma-” “wait. Vitals?” Syocean said. “Affirmative, Would you like to display vitals.” The voice said. “Yes.” He said. The hologram displayed all the heroes vital signs, everyone was in the green, except those who were on the jet, their vitals were in orange or red. “What’s happening?!” Drake said. “They must be fighting Drain and Ember!” Arianna said. “What can we do?!” Emma said. “Teleportation Accessible, commence full recall?” The voice said. “YES!” They all said. “Access granted, commencing recall. The obelisk podium flashed, everyone was there, Neddy was hurt bad and Sylas, was unconscious. “What just happened!?” Darkhide said. “We have obviously been teleported to a crystal cave by a giant pillar! DUHH” Steve said. Everyone looked at him, “he’s.. totally correct…” Jay said. “I am..?” Steve said. “Hurry! Neddy and Sylas are hurt!” Ruby said through tears. “Here!” Sheeri said, she softly blew ice on Neddy’s wounds. “Gsshhh.. thanks..” he said. “What about Sylas!” Erica said. “What happened to him?” Andrew said. “He was hit in the head with the blunt of a sword from some little British guy!” Erica explained. “Captain Francis Hugo by chance?” Aragorn asked. “I mean I didn’t ask his name but, I guess..” she said. “Sounds like they’ve brought more villains..” Drake said. “Wait, where is Samuel?” Aurora asked. Star squawked sadly. “He’s not on the vitals list either… could he be-” Andrew said. “Vitals for “Samuel” are not in my database.” The voice said. “Is he.. dead.” Nova asked. “Unknown, if subject is not in my database than they must have connected to the black obelisk.” The voice said. “What?!” Several voices said at once. “The guy was a bit selfish, but I didn’t think he would turn..” Andrew said. Star made the dodo equivalent of a sob. “Samuel.. why…” Aurora said.
Milo was in the form of a reaper, he was just about to stab Erica when they teleported, so his tail slammed into a rock, “AHHGG!” He cried in pain. Pat and Bubba chuckled. The creatures all walked out of the tree line, Milo shifted back into a human and said, “hey! What happened to an ambush?!” “We thought you had it covered.” Ember said. Truth be told they were just watching it play out, they didn’t care who won. Less humans either way. “Where did they go?” Shortstacks said. “No idea, but who cares. Gives us more time for abstraction!” Drain said excitedly. He walked over to the podium and started scrolling through villains, particularly, villains from his world. “Ugh, “‘Count’” Phasma.. Who the heck is Salizar, and why is he listed at most dangerous?!” Drain continued scrolling for a bit, until he found something he liked. “Apex the alpha dragon.. could it be… ohhh now a plans coming together…” he said slyly. “What are you doing.” Jethezar said. Drain Shrieked in fear, and covered the hologram, “uhm.. nothing…” he said. “Step aside.” Jethezar told him, and pushed him to the side, he looked at the image, “a dragon, I’ve only heard tales. Could there be more..” he filtered the search to just dragons, another name caught his eye: It was a dragon from Fjordur. “Ahh here’s the one I’ve heard stories of!” He said. He found the cue button and cued both of the dragons, “anyone else want a turn on this trinket?” Everyone crowded the terminal, about an hour later they had pulled up the maximum cue, 7 “why is the maximum cue 7..” Bubba pondered. “Who cares, let’s get on with it!” Captain Shortstacks said. He pressed the Absraction button and the terminal said “ABSTRACTING SEVEN CHARACTERS, Apex, Fjordur’s dragon, professor Edmund Rockwell, Willow, Sig, King Titan, Queen June.
Error detected, subject six to large for abstraction, would you like to shrink subject.” “Yes, shrink subject!” Ember said. “Access granted, abstracting, estimated time of abstraction… 157.. hours” the voice said. “157 HOURS!!” They all said extremely annoyed.
It was night again, It had seemed like hours when Drain looked back at the terminal, which now read: 156 hours and 34 minutes. He sighed loudly. “There’s got to be a way to speed this up!” He said to himself. He tried to think. Then he remembered something. “Hey Milo,” Drain said. “What is it..” Milo said. “I heard Ember and Jethezar over there talking about how weak you are, they said even as a reaper they could easily take you.” Drain said straight-faced. In truth Ember and Jethezar were really talking about they’re annoying nemesi, but Milo took the bait, he transformed into a reaper and said, “well let’s see then!” And charged at them, this conflict escalated into a full on brawl, Drain just turned invisible and watched the black obelisk glow. As the fight grew more intense the obelisks glowed even brighter than before, Drain looked back at the terminal which now read 66 Hours and 4 minutes and counting. He grinned to himself, his plan worked, the fight was so heated that the hours became seconds, and the clock struck zero. A bright flash stopped the brawl, Drain uncloaked, “sorry about that, Jethezar and Ember didn’t actually say anything Milo.” Drain said slyly. “Why you little!” Jethezar started. “Ah ah ahh, don’t blame me, blame the obelisk, it’s the one who needed your aggression and hatred, Now! May I present! Our new allies! Tyrants from across the arks! Enemies of our enemies! Th-” he was shoved off the podium by a huge claw, the other villains looked at the glowing silhouettes, they were very menacing indeed.

Chapter 28: With great power…
—By SunnyFox57
Aragorn paced back in forth in him and Arianna’s bedroom in the mansion. Arianna sat on the bed, sipping tea while watching him. “There was nothing at that school, nothing at the mayor’s house, nothing nothing nothing!! No clue as to why were here, who brought us here and so forth!! We need to find a way back home. I CAN’T stand it here!!” Aragon growled. Arianna took another sip of her tea, waiting for her husband’s temper to cool a bit. “I don’t trust this “Sylveevee” woman…in fact I don’t trust any of them!! What if they’re spying on us?! I don’t believe that smirking Samuel wants to help us all go home at all! There’s something weird about him…. I don’t know what though. We need to go.” Arianna cocked her head at him. “Why? Why do we need to go? Why do you feel like this?” She asked calmly.
Aragorn pressed his hands against his forehead. “Because we can’t trust any of them! What if they try to kill us!! Where are Jaquin and Josephina?! We have to find a way home!!There’s a million reasons!” Aragorn snapped. Arianna set down her cup of tea and walked over to him. She wrapped her hands around his. “But why do you ACTUALLY feel like this, huh?” She asked, already knowing the answer. Aragorn lowered his head, shamefully. “Because you’re afraid. You’re afraid of being stabbed in the back, being betrayed. You don’t want to trust anyone because if you trust someone and they get to close, if anything happens to someone it hurts. You don’t want anyone you care about to die on your watch. You’re afraid of dying as well. You’re afraid.” Arianna whispered.
Aragorn sighed. Arianna reached out and lifted his chin, so that he faced her. She locked eyes with him. “It’s okay to be afraid. It’s okay to be wary of people but that doesn’t mean you have to push everyone you don’t know away. It’s okay to trust some people.” Aragorn gazed at her with gentle eyes. His arms circled her waist and pulled her close. “You’re right. I’m sorry. Will you help me do better?” Aragorn asked. Arianna smiled. “I’ll always be here to help. I’ll always be here for you.” She said and wrapped her arms around the back of his neck. Their faces grew close close and their lips touched, as they kissed.
The door suddenly opened and Jack and Jay walked in. “Ewww…DISGUSTING…” Jack said, scrunching his nose at their parents. “Revolting, simply revolting.” Jay said, giving them a stern look. They both began fake gagging. Aragorn and Arianna broke apart, but Aragorn still had his arm around her waist. “What do y’all need” Arianna asked. “We came to see if y’all were awake yet. Emma is downstairs.” Jay said. Jack ran his fingers through his hair. “Okay. You may leave.” Arianna said. They promptly did so. Arianna turned to face her husband. “Are you ready?” She asked.
Downstairs the Petersons and Sylveevee’s group gathered in the dining room. The sun was rising in the sky, in the midst of bright colors. Yellow, orange, purple… and so much more. Aragorn crossed his arms and took a breath. Queen Sylveevee looked tense and Drake had a cross look on his face every time he glanced at her. Emma was braiding her hair in the corner of the room, watching the adults.
“So….What do we need to do now?” Arianna asked, breaking the silence. Skyocean scratched his head. “Maybe we can start by knowing where you went yesterday.” Drake snarled to Sylveevee. Sylveevee’s eyes narrowed. “Like I have to tell you!” She spat. “Well some of us deserve to know!!” Drake snapped. Sylveevee opened her mouth to retort. “ENOUGH!!!” Aragorn bellowed. They all stopped and looked at him.
They all turned to look at him. “What is it now?” Sylveevee snarled. Aragorn’s eye twitched with irritation and his hands balled into tight fists. Arianna gently slipped one of her hands through one of his and squeezed it. Aragorn took a deep breath. “We need to stop fighting.” Arianna said. “We’re all at a disadvantage. None of us trust each other. We all want to go home.” Moonhigh and Sunhigh nodded in agreement. “Fear keeps us from trusting each other. It’s okay to be wary of one another but we don’t have to fight all the time. If we work together we can all find a way home.” Arianna said.
“We all(most of us) have something in common. We all have great power. Even if we don’t have “superpowers” we can all do great things. We can work together. It’s time to be responsible and work together. Make peace so that we can find a way home.” “Umm…how do we do that?” Jack asked. Jay elbowed him. “The boy is right. How DO we find a way home?” Drake asked. “Maybe there’s some kind of power source. Like the black obelisk seems to draw the angery, hate emotions out of us. Maybe there’s a opposite. A…good version of it. Some kind of relic or something that could help us get home?” Aragorn contemplated.
Sylveevee shifted uncomfortably on her feet. “But that could be anywhere. We’d have to search this whole world for it!!” Emma cried. “That would take forever.” Aragorn muttered darkly. Arianna shot him a look. “Actually….I might know where it is. I went there yesterday….with Sunhigh and Moonhigh.” Sylveevee said softly. Drake whirled to stare at her, bewildered. “And you tell us this now?!?!” Sylveevee glared at him. “Don’t start fighting again now!!” Aragorn snapped. Arianna cleared her throat and he inhaled.
Sylveevee led the way down a dark hallway. “This way.” She called. They walked until they came to a wooden door with white markings on it. Slowly she turned the handle. They all entered quietly. It was a large, bright cave filled with white crystals. The white crystals hung from the ceiling and sprouted from the floor. *Drip, drip, drip* went a tiny drip of water. It was leaking from a hole in the ceiling into a crystal clear small pool of fresh water in the corner of the cave. A cold breeze blew the pins out of Emma’s hair and her long dark red hair swirled like a glossy curtain around her face. “Wow this place is beautiful!” She gasped. Aragorn grunted. “Spectacular.” Skyocean whispered.
White crystals blocked another doorway out of the cave. “Where does that lead?” Arianna asked Sylveevee. Sylveevee readjusted her crown. “I’ll show you. There’s a narrow crack just big enough for us all to fit through.” She led them toward the blocked crystal doorway. “Oh great a dead end.” Drake grunted. Sylveevee smirked. “Don’t be to sure.” She said sweetly. They walked closer. Sure enough, wedged between the crystals was a narrow crack just big enough for a person to fit through. A white light was shining from beyond it. Carefully they all slipped through the crack. “WOW!!!” Jack exclaimed. A short distance away was a shining white pillar. A white Obelisk.
As they looked at it, the light shining on them a feeling of peace and prosperity settled on them. “It’s so bright.” Moonhigh said, shielding her eyes. “Well, what are we waiting for? Let’s go check it out!” Aragorn said calmly.
