Prologue

- HGA ttg The Nazgûl

Before the island of Ragnarok was how you see it today, it was inhabited by only wyverns. During this time, there were many tribes of wyverns spread across the island. Although there was still only the basic three types of wyverns, the different tribes had different added traits unique to their tribe. Of these tribes, the strongest was the tribe of Alphas. Now these were not the same as the alpha wyverns you know today, although they are some of their descendants. They were much bigger, stronger, and faster than normal wyverns. This tribe ruled the island and helped establish order amongst the tribes. And although I wish I could say that this lasted forever, I cannot, for nearly all good things must come to an end.

There were two princes of the Alphas. One, a lightning wyvern, was strong and wise, however, he tended to lack initiate and was hard to move toward action. His brother, Draco, was a fire wyvern, filled a burning fire of a temper. He was smart and cunning. Draco wanted to rule the island, but not in a peaceable way. The day came for the next king to be chosen, and it did not come as a shock when it was not Draco, but his brother. Although Draco’s brother loved him, no amount of encouragement could calm the rage in Draco.

One day, when his brother left the island with his parents to escort them to the final resting place of the wyverns, he took his chance. He rallied some tribes of wyverns and laid waste to the island. When his brother returned, he was devastated. He met his brother in the land he had laid waste to in the north. The brothers fought for what seemed like hours. Finally, Draco was struck down by a bolt of lighting blasted into his face. He fell from the sky, tumbling into a ravine, never to be seen again…

…or so they thought.
