To whoever said it’s an easy tame because you can use the net projectile, it’s already an easy tame

Take a crystal wyvern, pick up velo and take it to the city let friends knock it out.Bty it won't shoot you when you pick it up and it won't shoot your friends when it is picked up with a crystal wyvern.(but in the case it does shoot you it can't shoot anything else because of hitbox on wyvern so if this does happen to shoot you then it will only damage the wyvern for like 200-500 damage)

Take a crystal wyvern pick it up, then take it out of desert to city and then let your friend knock it out ez beginner tame.

2 x 2 trap is more than enough and if you have a wyvern you can pick them without getting targeted. Also don't waist kibble just to save 1 minute!!! If you use raw mutton you can tame them without narcos!!!!

You can also shoot them from a cliff but if they run away they could run into a Horde of allosaurus or yutysaurus soo sure you don't need a trap but it will safe you so many nerves!!!

Easiest tame + soak I've ever done. Taming just use a good soaker that you can go on back of (I used wyvern) then shoot it. Soak I leveled it up to 10k health and put 2 inside the base and 2 outside the base, they no longer can run then just push forward with your turtles and manas

Remember only tame 140 or 150 velonosaurs I have my 2 velonosaurs are opposite gender so I got a mating boost as well but also they have 1400 something attack so you dont need to do attack in level up points mine does 2,000 somthing damage only up stamina btw my velonosaur does 2,000 somthing damage in turret mode.

Get a wyvern or quetzal and pick the velonasaur up and bring it into a taming pen. If both are not available and you dont have the power to kill nearby dinos, make a trap out of 4 wooden or stone gateframes and gates (add the gate doors to the gateframes otherwise it will escape)

If you tame a snow owl and freeze it, it will use the melee attack on the owl and you can hope off and knock it out easily. If the owl starts to get bloody just hop on it and use it's freeze attack to heal.

For easy 2 person tame, use wyvern to carry and 2nd person to tranq.

An easy way to tame the velonosaur is to make a boomerang and agro it. When it tries to shot you run up to it making sure your under flaps and spam throw the boomerang aiming to the ground so it will come back faster. If it switches to melee simply walk away till it switches back to turret mode. With that done you can continue boomerang spamming.

This is an awful tame 6 of these in a boss battle will crash your game freezing you the whole time probly killing all your Dino’s

Try using keeping a tanky creature between you and them to soak the quills they throw at you. I had used my Megatherium with 20K health and all I needed to do was peek her shoulder and shoot over it while her tummy was filled with quills. If they have a line of sight on you, they will aim for you and snipe you.

You can knock it out by shooting it with tranqs and going around rocks and trees and duckind behind smaller rocks until it is knocked out

You're gonna need more mutton then what's shown. Tried taming a 125 used 19 mutton and wasnt even halfway

I was super afraid of these, just by the looks of them! Then I accidentally knocked one out and now I have 10. Super easy solo tame. I actually enjoy taming these guys. Easy to knock out, hardly any Marco sauce is used and it doesn't take forever for them to tame up.

Find a mountain or hill that’s near the velonasaur but far enough so when you try to knock it it’ll stay in that position and try to shoot at you and build a building around you with an opening on the side with the volonosaur then fire at it with your tranqs. I used this method and it worked
