The Final Feast
The Final Feast
Chapter 4
With his hatchlings fed, Silvermane pushed himself back up into the air and began to fly off. Corvi hopped to the edge of the nest and watched him go, but something seemed wrong. He was struggling to stay in the air. Without warning, he dropped to the ground and stopped moving. For a moment the forest was still until the silence was disturbed by a growing hiss. Out of the shadows, a long figure slitbered up to the fallen bird. Corvi felt her heart stop as the snake coiled itself around Silvermane's neck and proceeded to suffocate him. The boa turned her head up to the nest, and looked Corvi directly in the eye.
