Spark had been traveling for days. He hoped he would make it to the swamps in time. He may have been in the middle of a blizzard, but he was enjoying himself. Traveling reminded of when he was just a mercenary. Traveling beneath the stars. Going from village to village looking for work. He missed the traveling. But he wanted the fighting to be over, he had never known times where he wasn’t fighting for his life or the lives of others. He began to wonder about the soldiers in the highlands. Had they taken it? Had the rafts arrived? Had the soldiers been sent? In a few hours, Spark could hear the fighting. He had arrived at the swamp. He rushed through the trees to find the soldiers.
