Stories Tips

What are some stories about the dimorphodon? Memorable dimorphodon stories, wild encounters, and fan fiction.
Once I just tamed my max lvl Pteranodon and I then it happened one dimorphodon came out of know where I guess I hit it or something earlier and it swooped in and hit my brand new pteranodon and just like that they were attacking each other and they couldn’t hit each other in the air and they went so high I couldn’t recall it and just like that I never saw my Pteranodon again
This isn’t really a tip but I had this dimorphodon named Eagle who was super quirky and occasionally killed things that tried to kill me from compys to allos. On day a theri wandered onto my wooden base and guess what happened. 20 of my BEST tames were slaughtered along with my best Iguanodon for travel. Eagle tried to put a stop to it but was killed in the process. All my other creatures were passive. There wasn’t even an implant to revive her with. D: I was so filled with rage, I trapped it and killed it slowly and painfully with my lvl 131 dodo. Rule? Kill and aggressive creatures before they kill ur pets.
HEIR OF GRIEF
Prologue – The Unsung Song

~~~
It always comes back full force during her dreams.
The screams, the snow, and the blood that painted the cavern red.
Even the freezing cold that blew through the rock like a storm had been overwhelmed by the sounds of the battle that took place in that tight, confined space. But there was simply nothing she could do then. And there was nothing she could do now. Not like this.
“DADDY!” she had shouted then, lunging forward to protect her father.
She knew the risk of being struck by the claws of a Ravager. They weren’t a carnivore native to the snow, but the tale of their horde had spread far and wide throughout Fjordur. Ravagers were anything but civil beings. They sought bloodshed as much as a two-leg. And worst, they cared not for food. They cared only for glory. For the taste of blood against their tongues. It really begged the question why Ravagers were roaming outside the caves of Fjordur.
But she didn’t care then. She just wanted the night to go back to the way it always was. Feasting on what scraps Father could find together, her mother’s tail wrapped around her skinny body, her father’s soothing voice putting her to sleep as he told the same-old tale of the Prophecy.
The Prophecy… a legend uttered from a seer promising peace for all.
Something smacked into the juvenile’s side, throwing her into the wall. THWACK! Her vision swarmed with spots as she saw Father limp toward her, a shake in the back of his legs. The ravager stood behind the large theropod with blood dripping from his claws. Mother let out a roar of fury, charging and slamming the brunt of her head into the ravager. The ravager was flung to the entrance of the cave, his claws screeching across the hard rock. She blinked once, and the ravager’s jaws were latched onto her Mother, ripping off flesh chunk by chunk. The sound of claws hitting the ground filled the air. She slowly rose from the ground, her arms weakly outstretched toward her flailing mother.
“M–mommy…”
Father shot to Mother’s side in an instant, crushing the ravager with his jaws. He ripped the limp beast off the scales of his mate and tossed him to the side. His corpse crumpled to the ground with a thud.
“Lumi, my dear, are you okay?”
Father buried his snout in Mother’s neck, huffing with a rumble in his throat.
“We’ve been through worse, Iceberg. Let us focus on protecting our darling.”
Father nodded, pulling away from Mother with big eyes. Mother let out a whimper of worry. She stared at the entrance to the cave, her arms pressed tight to her chest.
“Iceberg… behind you.”
Father’s head whipped around. When he exhaled, mist shot out from his nostrils. His eyes narrowed, talons curling up in anticipation. Growls came from the entrance.
Her head tilted. She could barely see through her waning vision, but it looked like more Ravagers were stepping and closer to the couple, their fangs bared and their bodies low to the ground. Behind them, a larger, bulkier Ravager stood taller than the rest. The young Yutyrannus felt her feathers ruffle at the sight of her dark, midnight hide. According to the stories, it wasn’t uncommon for a Ravager to have hide with dark colors. But for a Ravager to have hide the color of pitch black?
“Mommy… Daddy…” the young Yutyrannus whimpered.
The black-skin Ravager looked at the dead corpse on the ground, unintimidated and unfazed. She turned to the Ravager to her left with a snarl.
“You. Take the body out of here.”
“Yes, ma’am.” the Ravager galloped over to the dead body, gently grabbing it by the leg and dragging it out of the cave. Five Ravagers besides their pack leader stood in the way, blocking the Yutyrannus family from the exit.
The pack leader sniffed the air. She let out a soft growl at Father and Mother.
“Two-leg carnivores think they’re so mighty and strong, do they not?” the pack leader tapped her claws against the hard rock. The snowfall was beginning to slow from above.
“There’s been enough murder for today. Carnivores can coexist in harmony. I know it. I feel it. I believe in it. Can’t you see? We can share the lesser animals. We can share territory, hunting grounds. Senseless fighting will only drive the land to turmoil, and our kinds to the end of ends.”
The Ravager of black let out a chuckle. She took a step forward. The other Ravagers followed suit.
“Foolish, foolish Yutyrannus…” the pack leader let out a loud cackle. Mother shook, her jaw clenched tight. Blood still trickled down the sides of the two of them, pooling up with the fallen snow collecting on the floor.
“The last thing Ravagers would ever want is peace.”
Mother stomped her foot into the ground, letting out a bellow at the Ravagers. The Ravagers barked back, charging forward and leaping at the two Yutyrannus parents. The young Yutyrannus let out a cry, rushing forward in an attempt to help again.
“MOMMY! DADDY!”
“No!” Father roared, bashing his head into a Ravager. “Go, Blizzard, go my darling! Run! RUN!”
Father’s pleads were met with a claw to his eye. He let out a howl of pain as his knees buckled. Two Ravagers were ripping away at the back of his wounded leg. Mother was already laying on the ground in a pool of her own blood, the black-scaled Ravager standing victorious above her with guts trailing from her mouth to the ground. She lapped up the blood, barking at her fellow dogs.
“Get the runt.”
The Ravagers dispersed from Mother’s body, pouncing toward the exit of the cave. But the little Yutyrannus had already disappeared into the thick snow. The black-skin Ravager spat out a chunk of flesh from her mouth. Carnivores tasted horrible. Their meat was not as tender as that of a lesser animal.
A weak roar came from the male Yutyrannus. The black-skin Ravager’s eyes darted over. A smirk tugged at her lips when Father uttered something under his breath.
“Curse me if you wish,” the black-skin Ravager declared. “You will die all the same. You and the rest of the pitiful believers.”
“Lumi, my dear…”
Father rose to his feet with a stumble. The black-skin Ravager looked up, her heart skipping for just a beat. Father limped toward the corpse of his mate, before collapsing onto his stomach. Something dribbled down his bare face. Milky, thick tears.
“I have failed to protect you.”
Father closed his eyes, coughing loudly. Blood trickled from his tongue. It was his own. “My love,”
“I will– see you– in Valhalla.”
Bump bump. Bump bump. The Ravager’s ears tingled as the heartbeat of the old dinosaur faded into the soft sound of the snow billowing outside. For a second, she stared at the couple, her joints stiff and her tail tucked between her legs.
Love. A strange thing, is it not?
The smile on the Ravager’s face only grew, reaching ear to ear.
“Pathetic. Absolutely pathetic.”
Footsteps thundered across the cave again. The Ravager did not turn her head at the noise. She took a whiff of the air, but she did not smell fresh blood. Only the stale snow, and the smell of a battle that had already been won mere moments ago.
“I do not smell the runt. Did you catch it?”
“Wrath, we could not find the irksome juvenile. It blends in with the snow all too well!” one of the Ravagers barked. “Wrath, you cannot expect us to go out of our way to kill a carnivore that is not even grown–”
Wrath glared, cocking her head with squinted eyes. As quick as she turned, a slit appeared in the rebellious Ravager’s throat. The other Ravagers yipped and whimpered at the sight of the body crumbling to the ground. The poor beast convulsed, once, then twice, before its eyes rolled up to the back of the head.
“Do not forget. I am to be referred to as Regent Wrath. The Ravager King never excused weakness. And you know what happened to the old hag. We will rebuild our horde, we will rebuild our culture to what it was before. Not just for the Ravagers, but for the carnivores too.”
Wrath stepped back and forth, her paws so quiet it was like she was not moving at all. The other Ravagers whimpered, bowing their heads and bodies for the queen of black.
“If you cannot handle hunting something as weak as a hatchling, then you do not have the right of being called a Ravager. You do not have the right to breathe the same air as the worthy.” Wrath spat up a glob, dropping it onto the corpse of the dead Ravager beneath her. She kicked the body to the side, walking past her pack with quiet, yet fast steps.
“We have distracted ourselves long enough in this bitter cold. When all the carnivores of the snow see what we, the Ravagers, have done to these two-leg carnivores, they will know the Ravagers are not to be meddled with. We will return to our position as the worthy carnivores! We, the Ravager Horde, shall bring Fjordur back to the glory days!”
Wrath slapped her tail against the ground. The other Ravagers shot up, rushing to her side, all shouting “YES, REGENT WRATH! YES, MA’AM!” or something of the sort. Wrath let out a huff as they stepped out into the snow.
“There is still yet more glory to earn. The cowardly wyvern’s newest mission has presented an opportunity for us to reclaim our honor,” Wrath barked at the others as they marched through the cold. “A lone Velonsaur must be hunted. Their elusive kind, here in Vannaland… how very, very intriguing.”
It was still snowing hard.
Blizzard was curled up under a naked pine tree, swallowed up by the storm of snow. She shivered so hard she could barely breathe. Her feathers were not grown enough for her to handle this harsh cold.
The screams of her parents still echoed in her mind, over and over again. She shut her eyes tight, tears falling down her cheeks as their roars broke through her very mind. Her body rose up and down as she huffed in the cold air bit by bit.
Think happy thoughts, happy thoughts, Blizzard thought desperately.
She tried to think about the song Father would always sing to her. The song of how carnivores would one day learn to live in harmony with one another. That whatever would rock Fjordur with tragedy would be stopped, that the land would become a better place with the Five.
The Five…
Five carnivores, to stop this terror.
“In– a land– of claws and teeth,” Blizzard whimpered. “These wars wage for too long…”
Her memory was failing her. The song was being overwhelmed by the barks of the Ravagers. The song was being overwhelmed by her pain.
“Predators– sing a song.”
“Five carnivores unite…”
“To… end… this…”
But the rest of the melody soon trickled away from her thoughts.
What was the point?
What was the point remembering a song that didn’t hold true during this dark time?
Five carnivores, to stop an unseen threat. It only sounded like a fantasy. A fairy tale to ease the minds of the carnivores who fought for scraps every day, getting barely enough to feed their children. Carnivores like Blizzard, and her parents.
Maybe a Prophecy did exist. Maybe it did exist. Maybe Fjordur would be okay against this unseen catastrophe.
But even if it was, it didn’t matter. Because for Blizzard, she was not one of the five carnivores. She was just ordinary amongst extraordinary. She was not fated to survive, nor was she fated to ever be protected by the song.
Her parents most certainly weren’t.
And now, she was just an heir. An–
Author's Note
Hi.
I'm writing Ark fanfic again. I think.
This story, HEIR OF GRIEF, is a non-canon spin-off story of The Obelisk by Moon. Writing this tale now, I have always wondered what happens to the ones left in the snow. Those who are not part of some great prophecy. Those who are not destined to save the world. Normal folks simply caught in the crossfire of something bigger than them. HEIR OF GRIEF simply aims to answer this question by exploring the perspective of these nobodies.
The story will have new, original characters. It will also have recurring characters. Though, I won't spoil the fun and say who.
If your taste is more catered to non-canon direct sequel that explores the perspectives of the aforementioned "destined heroes" again, then reading PrimalApex's JOURNEY may be more appealing to you.
Likewise.. it is recommended to at least read the entirety of The Obelisk before reading HEIR OF GRIEF. While it is a spin-off, some of the story will take place after the climax of its predecessor.
I will say it again, but this is unofficial. None of the hypotheticals in the story should be considered canon. (The Obelisk isn't canon anyway, as it will eventually be rewritten to a story called Rune).
Until then.
Rise from the snow, HEIR OF GRIEF.
Show the world your rage.
Make them fear the unstoppable storm.
Make them fear the blizzard.
So one day I was walking along the beach unsuspectingly, when all of the sudden 2 dimorphodons jumped me and got me down to barely any health. Me being the legend that I am I shot both of them with a trank arrow (by complete luck 😂) I knocked them out and tamed them both, one is called “Drake” and the other one is called “Ari”. Much later I sailed to the mainland (I live on Herbivore island) and docked my raft. I turned around and to my complete surprise there was a REX, I was very unprepared and super panicked. The Rex let out a mighty roar and I knew I was dead, I sprinted to my raft and jumped on whipping the boat around and sailing away from the land a little, looking back I was surprised as to how I lived but then I noticed my 2 dimorphodons were gone! I quickly spotted them doing circles around the Rex and I was in complete shock, they were obliterating it!?!? It couldn’t land a hit on them and eventually they brought down that mighty beast. I totally would have died then if they didn’t buy me time. Like = respect 🫡
Through my Eyes: Drake the Dimorphidon
Chapter 6
The next couple of days where crazy so I’ll just summarize. The rider took us back to a small hidden base where several others where hiding out. Apparently they had once been a large powerful tribe, but had recently been wiped out. There were only a few of them left. Why they let us in I still don’t understand. Which put me on edge almost all the time. But in the end I warmed up to them and we became part of their tribe. Me and Kate made a home with them. It was like being in a pack. Like when I still had my siblings. We looked out for each other. And there were plenty of other tames to play with. Finally I had a family again and I knew that whatever came my way, I would be ready for it. I’ll leave you here. But don’t worry, I have a feeling that there’s somebody else just dying to get your attention.
This is the story of my pet dimorphodon, Bud.
I was playing ark mobile, had some tames, and I had just tamed a dimorphodon who I named Bud. One day, I ventured in the mountains without a tame, with Bud on my shoulder. When I came to close to a chalicotherium. I started running as it chased me down, then I got knocked out by a rock from it. Bud who was not on passive went to attack it to protect me, if he had not done this I would have died. Unfortunately I had to watch my beloved game Bud die in front of my eyes. I ran near the nearby swamp going back to my base, focused on revenge. I had a carno that I named after my real life name, I then took him to the chalico and whooped it to death. I had gotten my get back and avenged Bud. This is why I hate Chalicos so much.
Chapter 3
I woke up to the pleasant smell of meat cooking. I slowly opened my eyes, I was laying next to a campfire in a very small thatch hut. Everything hurt and I could barely remember what had happened the night before. Let alone how I had gotten here. Not long after I had woke up I heard the door open. In stepped the female human I had been watching the night before. Although now she had a fresh bandage around her arm. “Hello there little buddy. You’ve had a rough night. Feeling better?” She said in a soft soothing voice. I wanted to back away, to feel frightened at being so close to another creature. But something about her made me fell safe and calm, like everything was going to be just fine. I held perfectly still as she slowly reached out her hand and gently pet my head. She soon offered me a piece of raw meat which I greedily devoured. We spent about two weeks in that small thatch hut on the beach. During which the survivor, which I soon learned was named Kate, ran all over collecting what not. All the while I sat happily on her shoulder. Enjoying her company. Kate was the one that gave me my name, Drake. As the days past by we grew closer and closer. But like in any story, our peaceful little home could not stay peaceful for long.
Through My Eyes: Drake the Dimorphodon
Chapter 1
Hey, my names Drake. I’m a dimorphodon. You’ve prolly seen my kind flapping around the beach or in the wooded forests. We’re not much for size or fright. But I’m not here to talk about my kind. I’m here to talk about me and my story. Your about to take an ark adventure through my eyes.
I was born in a sparsely wooded area near the beach. During my time there I met many players. Most of which were beach noobs. Oh how I loved to watch them scramble about doing their best to gather resources and just survive. I remember one in particular. I’m not sure why she stood out from the rest to me, she just did. I watched as she went around gathering up her tools and what not. “Hey! This little noob might just survive the night!” I thought as I saw her swiftly erect a shelter and smartly avoid Dilos and piranhas. Before I knew it, darkness began to descend on us. I flapped slowly back to my little nest in the forest leaving the player behind. My two siblings were already there. I smiled at them as I slumped into my nest and drifted off to sleep. Little did I know that what would happen tonight would completely change my life.
>Warning this story is sad for people who love these creatures<
<Dimo’s Story>
So here’s a Story about Dimo!!
One day I found a dimorphodon i knocked her out near the redwood lake the rest of her pack fleed for cover and help looking at their 2 dead members. I feed her meat and I named her Dimo short for DIMOrphodon I liked her a bit but we weren’t really to attached so she would roam freely around my base! She didn’t die or anything! And sometimes I would see her walking around and stuff and pick her up to explore a bit! But one day that all changed and it wasn’t as happy as before....
So I was searching for a diplocalus with Dip for them to mate so I could see the egg and try to save these poor creatures Dip was super strong and I enjoyed walking around the swamp but suddenly we were surrounded!!
Dip killed the two titans attacking me but the 15 dimorphs above me weren’t killable by him!! So I requested Dimo! She circled the dimorph >like Toriel and that one did #PrayForToriel< Biting of course I could see the blood effects I watch them circl and circle but suddenly my heart skipped a beat as Dimo fell to the rocks to the left instead of killing that dude!! I looked at the dimorph as it flew away.. we had been saved...
I came back to my tree base putting Dip back into his home heartbroken I went back to my tree and stay there for a while... the world was empty... and lost... why did I feel so sad??
I love these things sooooo much. I have one level 46 Dimorphodon named Flappy. I was out test flying in my Pteranodon with his brand new saddle and was NOT paying attention to the stamina. (In the past I upgraded it to 228. Which is not a lot, but it is to me) we crashed in the middle of a pack of raptors and they immediately attacked us. I got dismounted from Pterrance and ran for my life. I saw in yellow letters at the top of the screen “Your level 35 (at the time) Flappy killed a raptor x 10.” Then a Trike who unwittingly tried to interfere. I had previously set my Pterrance to passive flee for this very reason, so he
lived on. And I also gave Flappy a new name. Flappy my lethal protector.
Chapter 2
It was midnight when I was jolted awake. Immediately I knew something was wrong. I felt the air as something come fly towards me and I just managed to roll out of my nest and crash to the forest floor below. I heard a sickening crack as what ever it was crashed into my home completely destroying it, along with my siblings. Splinters rained down on me, I had never been so frightened in my life. I took off into the air, flapping my wings as fast as I could. What ever had attacked my home was still right behind me. I burst out of the trees onto the beach that I had been on only hours before. I through a quick glance behind me. That was a mistake. I caught a glimpse of a two legged predator, like a Rex but smaller. Then it rammed into me sending me catapulting through the air. I crashed into the sand. The last thing I remember before I fell unconscious was the predator turning away from me and chasing a small two legged creature down the be
What on earth. I was flying back on my Argentavis Ace with my three dimorpodons missile, newsletter and Alex I had been admiring this gator thinking about taming it when out of nowhere something pounced on me and knocked me off of ace I panic because I just got a bunch of supplies and i was knocked off right beside that gator
-Chapter 31-
It was cold in the Arctic mountains.
Snow drifted through the small sky holes in the roof and through the entrance to the cave, freezing the stone ground. Blizzard shivered and snuggles closer to her mother.
“Oh, look, darling,” Mother said, sitting up. “Daddy’s back.”
A grey-white Yutranus entered the cave, snow piling up on his back and neck. He shook it all off with a sigh. “Evening,” he greeted. He stepped forward to nuzzle mothers snout with his own, and sat heavily on his haunches next to them.
Then, with a squishy-sounding p l o p, Father dropped a small chunk of meat onto the frozen stone floor in front of them. “How are you doing, daughter?” He asked.
“Just fine,” Blizzard said bravely.
“Just c-cold.”
“My strong little girl,” Father said with a smile. “We’ll, I know I’m not the only one who’s hungry, let’s dig in.”
Blizzard stepped forward and bit a piece of the meat, wolfing it down. “This is good,” she mumbled to Father.
“It was hard to get that,” he stated.
“What happened this time?” Mother asked.
Blizzard looked up, following mothers gaze, and realized Father had a small slash acrossed his tail, leading to his left thigh.
“It’s nothing,” Father said breezily. “Just a little quarrel for the carcass.”
“You work too hard,” Mother said.
“I want to be just like you, daddy!” Blizzard said to him.
Father smiled down at her.
But suddenly Blizzard caught a glimpse of something behind them.
Something brown… something sneaking into the entrance… something …
“Daddy!” Blizzard screamed.
Father whirled around, smacking the attacking carnivore in the snout with his tail, roaring furiously. Mother jumped up with a hiss and pushed Blizzard back into the far end of the cave. “Stay, Blizzard!”
Blizzard huddled into the corner, watching with wide eyes as the three carnivores fought.
Suddenly the attacker pushed father onto his back, pinning him on the ground with a hiss.
Mother ran forward to help, but skidded to a stop as the attacker pressed one talon against fathers neck. “Don’t take another step,” he snarled. “Or I’ll kill him.”
“What do you want?” Father choked.
“Not much,” hissed the carnivore. “Just a few questions.”
“What’s a Ravager doing all the way out here to ‘ask questions’?” Father asked wryly. “Seems a bit hostile, how you’re doing it.” He looked nervously down on the claws against his throat.
“Are you with Peeri?” The Ravager snarled.
“Who?” Mother barked.
“Who’s Peeri?” Blizzard asked. “I’ve never heard of her. Is she a friend of yours?”
The Ravager shot her a dark look, then turned back to Father. “Answer my question, Yutranus!”
“Honey, what is he talking about?” Mother asked.
“I’m sorry, darling,” Father said sadly. “I was doing this for Blizzard. And you.”
“Doing what? What were you doing?” Blizzard asked. “Tell me!”
“Iceberg,” Mother said slowly, “is he talking about the prophecy?”
Father hesitated. “You can take me,” he said to the Ravager. “But leave my family alone. They have nothing to do with this.”
“You believe in this prophecy?!” The Ravager roared.
“Yes. With all my heart. And it will save us.”
The Ravager roared, pressing his claws harder into fathers neck. “Than you are a threat to us,” he hissed.
“Wait!” Mother screamed.
And as the Ravager lifted his claws dangerously, Blizzard jumped forward. “NO!”
“Blizzard, stop!” Mother roared.
“DADDY!”
Chapter 5
I felt like a tiny ant, and I was used to being small, but this was just different. The trees grew so high it was like they where holding up the sky. I coward closer to Kate. She seemed to sense my unease because she started to talk softly. But she soon trailed off as her voice seemed unnaturally loud in the still forest. All I wanted to do was get back to my familiar beach and jungle that I had grown up in. But we pressed on. I was on high alert, every little rustle of leaves, ever little insect chirp sent a chill down my spin. So of course the moment I heard something bigger and louder I lost it. I launched myself off of Kate’s shoulder and flapped high into the safety of the trees above. It wasn’t until I was already high up that a feeling of dread creeped up my throat as I realized I had left Kate behind. I quickly spun around and looked down. Desperately searching for Kate. When I spotted her my heart stopped. She was standing there face to face with a survivor on a raptor! She wasn’t running or fighting, she was just standing there! I quickly dove down towards the rider. I plummeted right into him, nocking him off of his tame. I began to bite at his arm fiercely, but he had some sort of armor on. Then his raptor snapped at me, narrowly missing my wing. I cried out in fear and flapped away as fast as I could. I circled in the air a few times then quickly went to Kate’s side. “Why aren’t you running?” I wondered.
“Oh no are you ok?!” She said, but she wasn’t talking to me? She was talking to the rider. “Bad Drake Bad! Don’t do that!” She yelled, this time at me. She took a step towards the fallen rider but the raptor blocked her way and snarled. I snarled back, but made sure to keep my distance. Then the rider slowly sat up and whistled to his raptor. The raptor looked at him then stopped snarling and got out of the way. Kate walked forward and helped the rider up.
“That’s quite the dimorphidon you got there. He just came out of no where.” The rider said.
“Oh yeah, sorry about that.” Kate replied smiling. I looked from one to the other. One day we were running for our lives from another survivor, the next we were making friends. I wish they would make up their minds on wether to be friendly or not.
One time I was harvesting stone near the mountains and my pal, sumo the sarco, came with me. (mainly because sarcos have good weight.) I ACCIDENTALLY touched one and he called his possy from 30 island over and killed me. When I got back, I found sumo at 75/390 Hp left and decomposing dimorphidon around her. That was the last time I even thought about hitting one.
Chapter 4
We where walking along the beach. Well Kate was walking, I was riding. But anyways it was a bright sunny day and we where happily enjoying each other’s company when I casually looked up and saw something circling in the sky. I let out a warning cry and Kate quickly looked up too. It didn’t take long for me to identify what it was although I had only seen it once before. It was an argy. It must have sensed our eyes on it, because it began to swoop down towards us. Kate gave a cry of surprise and began to run towards our house. I clung desperately to her shoulder, casting quick glances behind us. It didn’t take me long to identify the rider on the argy. I felt my panic beginning to rise as it grew closer and closer. We would never be able to out run it. My instincts suddenly took over and I leaped into the air and took flight. I circled around Kates head a few times then began to flap desperately towards the trees, hoping that Kate would follow. She did and we ran into the thickest part of the trees, leaving the argy and rider behind. Kate grabbed me and slid under a bush. We laid there on the cold ground for hours. When we finally came out it was almost night fall. Kate carefully picked her way through the trees back to the base, I flapped ahead making sure all was safe. When I came to our house my heart fell. Everything had been destroyed, there was nothing left. My home had been ripped away from me for a second time. When Kate saw it I saw hot tears run down her cheeks. But we didn’t have long to morn, the argy and rider where still in the area and I had a feeling they would be often. It was time to find a new home again. At least this time I had Kate. Together side by side we went back into the forest to face what ever came at us as we searched for a new home.
