Easiest way to tame a pheonix for me. Tame a pyromane, take otnto scorched, make a gene scanner find the pheonix build a trap, check youtube its easy, when it comes out spam bite attack, let it heal for a bit then spam again. Very easy. Im sure wyverns are probably good also but, its alot easier to get a pyromane then a wyvern. I did it with a pyromane and tamed it within 1 storm. Also bonus to this method. No need for armour or anything as the pyromane keeps you safe from the heat.

The Phoenix can poop out Silica pearls and black pearls

You can get it to spawn next to your base because of the following: It always respawns at it's last location, so if the heatwave ends while you are following it you will know where it is for the next heatwave. It also chases you when you eat flowers... hint hint

To the person who asked, Phoenixes eat Sulfur.

They can produce pearls of both types and cook food and smelt metal but one of the most underratted hidden mechanics of phoenix is the fact it takes negative damage from fire which in ume translates to healing makeing the phoenix one of the best trench runners imo its full of fire wyverns that do dot so say it does 500damage itll hit for 5 ticks over 5 seconds giving you 2500 in healing hope this helps if it does simply thank your local DrHashCap

Find a phenix during a heatwave and follow it until it ends. The phenix will turn into ashes and land on the ground but will spawn right back at the same exact spot during the next heatwave. Build a trap 6 blocks high so I can't glitch out and you have yourself a trapped phenix to tame:)

one: the quick way,

1: heat wave

2: get on fast and good tame

3: find one

4: if found use fire wyvern or flame arrows

two: the trap way,

1: start from step 3 on way one but wait for heat wave to end.

2: find big pile of ashes

3: place a trap. add oil jars for good results

4: wait for next heat wave

5: light the fire bird up!
