Finding this guy is incredibly difficult because he is only found in heat waves and is not to big but once you do locate him (or her it does not matter they don’t have genders) wait until he turns into ash at the end of a heatwave and build a cage around the ashes when there is another heatwave and he comes back burn him it’s the only way to tame him he likes fire 🔥. Once you have your own phoenix he (or her) can be very useful he is a fire so it can cook and melt metal (but for some reason not scrap) it also poops silicon pearls and on the rare occasion black pearls 😀. In battle he is not the best but still powerful enough to burn most wild creatures he has three attacks bite,fireball,and scratch (which can also damage rocks 🪨) and also he cannot land and walk so he regains stamina in the air as long as you don’t move or have run on. The Phoenix can poop out Silica pearls and black pearls

Only found on SE during heatwaves. Can cook raw meat in its inventory and smelt raw metal. Also, Jeremy just announced it will be ridable ?

You can get it to spawn next to your base because of the following: It always respawns at it's last location, so if the heatwave ends while you are following it you will know where it is for the next heatwave. It also chases you when you eat flowers... hint hint

here is two ways to tame this bub

one: the quick way,

1: heat wave

2: get on fast and good tame

3: find one

4: if found use fire wyvern or flame arrows

two: the trap way,

1: start from step 3 on way one but wait for heat wave to end.

2: find big pile of ashes

3: place a trap. add oil jars for good results

4: wait for next heat wave

5: light the fire bird up!

To the person who asked, Phoenixes eat Sulfur.

Find a phenix during a heatwave and follow it until it ends. The phenix will turn into ashes and land on the ground but will spawn right back at the same exact spot during the next heatwave. Build a trap 6 blocks high so I can't glitch out and you have yourself a trapped phenix to tame:)

If you’re on the new ultimate mobile edition then you can wait for the first heatwave and change settings so that day night cycle is set to 0 and then it will freeze time and weather making it last forever and this gives endless time for one to spawn and for you to find one I hope this helped:)

You can look for it with a parasaur when heatwave isn active...it can detect an ash pile...i got lucky and found one after 5min

Step 1: find ash pile

Step 2: trap the ash pile

Step 3: bring a Wyvern or flamethrower

Step 4: wait until it spawns on the ash pile

Step 5: burn it

Step 6: you have successfully tamed a Phoenix

Fun fact! You can tame the Phoenix by hitting it with a torch so you don’t have to waste you’re time shooting it and missing and what not just wanted to help everyone out because this creature is definitely something worth getting

You can locate a phoenix ash with a parasaur

It's little kick attack can be used to mine any ore node effectively which is the best for metal seance it can smelt metals four at a time with no other resources, they also need sulfur to eat, can be healed with fire, and poop silica pearls.

Smash oil bottles and light them on fire under the Phoenix, it tames it so quickly!

Although it doesn't land, the Phoenix regains stamina by flying idle in the air, ridden or not. It craps silica pearls, eats sulphur, and its C gathers like an axe. Hold space for its dash, right click for the fireball, and everything but the C ignites people aflame. It can smelt and cook stuff, but sadly charcoal don't happen when you put wood in it. DISSAPOINTMENT : IMMEASURABLE

It usually spawns near the red obolisk or the sand dunes or the Rocky mountains behind the red obolisk. 80% of the times it's their 15% of the time it's near the silicon pearl loop in the middle of the map 5% of the time near the corners of the map. Happy hunting.
