You can get it to spawn next to your base because of the following: It always respawns at it's last location, so if the heatwave ends while you are following it you will know where it is for the next heatwave. It also chases you when you eat flowers... hint hint

one: the quick way,

1: heat wave

2: get on fast and good tame

3: find one

4: if found use fire wyvern or flame arrows

two: the trap way,

1: start from step 3 on way one but wait for heat wave to end.

2: find big pile of ashes

3: place a trap. add oil jars for good results

4: wait for next heat wave

5: light the fire bird up!

Find a phenix during a heatwave and follow it until it ends. The phenix will turn into ashes and land on the ground but will spawn right back at the same exact spot during the next heatwave. Build a trap 6 blocks high so I can't glitch out and you have yourself a trapped phenix to tame:)

Welcome to the ultimate guide to the Phoenix 🐦‍🔥 if you want to tame this guy you should at first prepare tons of fire arrows or level up the damage of your fire wyvern. Finding this guy is incredibly difficult because he is only found in heat waves and is not to big but once you do locate him (or her it does not matter they don’t have genders) wait until he turns into ash at the end of a heatwave and build a cage around the ashes when there is another heatwave and he comes back burn him it’s the only way to tame him he likes fire 🔥. Once you have your own phoenix he (or her) can be very useful he is a fire so it can cook and melt metal (but for some reason not scrap) it also poops silicon pearls and on the rare occasion black pearls 😀. In battle he is not the best but still powerful enough to burn most wild creatures he has three attacks bite,fireball,and scratch (which can also damage rocks 🪨) and also he cannot land and walk so he regains stamina in the air as long as you don’t move or have run on. You can look for it with a parasaur when heatwave isn active...it can detect an ash pile...i got lucky and found one after 5min

Fun fact! You can tame the Phoenix by hitting it with a torch so you don’t have to waste you’re time shooting it and missing and what not just wanted to help everyone out because this creature is definitely something worth getting

Step 1: find ash pile

Step 2: trap the ash pile

Step 3: bring a Wyvern or flamethrower

Step 4: wait until it spawns on the ash pile

Step 5: burn it

Step 6: you have successfully tamed a Phoenix

Smash oil bottles and light them on fire under the Phoenix, it tames it so quickly!

So can we just wack it with an ascendant touch untill it's tamed?

They eat sulfur after taming. Mine almost starved to death before I figured it out. I couldn't find anything anywhere about feeding them after taming them. Hope this helps!

If you’re on the new ultimate mobile edition then you can wait for the first heatwave and change settings so that day night cycle is set to 0 and then it will freeze time and weather making it last forever and this gives endless time for one to spawn and for you to find one I hope this helped:)

This Might Take you a day or so but how I got my pheonix was i would look everywhere for a pheonix during a heatwave and you have to wait for the next heatwave to start this when you see the pheonix follow it and when it goes to the ground build a trap above where it despawned and when another heatwave starts it will be trapped: REQUIRED JERBOA AND FIRE WYVERN

On scorched, be sure you have full ghillie(heat) and a jerboa(super easy tame) to notify you of weather events. Phoenix only comes during heat wave so listen for “high pitch purr” from your jerboa. Search the map and find this awesome bird! Once that’s done just wait and see where it despawns when heat wave is over. You will see a glowing light on the ground. BUILD A PEN AT LEAST 6 WALLS HIGH AND 6 WALLS WIDE AROUND THAT SPOT. Reason is it tends to respawn above the ground since it never lands. Next heat wave, pray your calculations are correct and it’s trapped! After that just use a flame thrower OR fire wyvern to burn the Phoenix for tame. Again, this thing only spawns during heat waves so be efficient!

It introduced a new taming method,while not the pseudo-boss we prayed 4 but to tame it u set it on fire with flame arrow,flame throweror a fire Wyvern,they only spawn during heat waves.keep this in mind.

You can use a Stryder with the sonar attachment to find their general location without being in a heatwave

They can’t breed so if your lucky enough to find one of these treat it with care
