Carry two velos with a karkinos and you now have a soaker with turrets

It is an awesome dino, level up stamina and Melee and your good to go. It is very useful in the orbital drops fights.

The stam isnt terrible if you hold in turret mode, rapid clicking is what drains it quickly

Get a platform saddle for a quetzal and put this thing on it you basically have a fighter jet

If u need 2 do lava cave suggest having a velo supper effective against it and u dont need rockets 2 kill boss

A Velonasaur with high melee and a lot of grapples is the by far best way to run the lava cave. Will only take you like 10 minutes.

Ah, the Velonasaur is a mighty thing to behold. Equipped with a face full of quills, and a tail with quills also, it can shoot them out of its tail in a circular motion. The Velonasaur can also become what most say a “Living assault rifle”. Their normal claw swipe deals moderate damage, and they are quite speedy. The turret mode burns through stamina, and consumes food at a moderate pace. If you want the quills to deal more damage, upgrade melee damage! One last thing, the quills bypass the rock elementals armor, dealing the same damage as a normal creature! Thus concludes my knowledge on the Velonasaur—— DubXshrimp

The turret that never runs out of bullets. Btw high star = GOD

So if your to low lvl or poor in ark these are best for defense since you can just put them on aggressive and do a Dino leesch they will shoot tons of spike n will kill a creature only a 5th slower than normal turrets

The equivalent of 1 turret is 2 velos

It is possible to use a spyglass in turret mod, the aim still apears so you can be more precise while shooting

It's quills shot from its head ignore armor, so easy rock elemental kill

So take your quetzal with platform saddle and shove a lot these guys on it and set them all to aggressive turret mode and you get a fighter plane

All you need is stamina health and melee and you got one of the most Op creatures in the game.

It’s firing attack is overpowered but absolutely drains stamina so it is best to level up stamina, health, and melee damage. There really isn’t much else to say other than it is an op living and breedable turret that doesn’t need ammo and is probably one of the most op tames in ark. Warning it shreds through armor with it’s firing attack flack won’t last long if it lasts you a minute you are insanely lucky.

Eggs need to be around 30* for incubation

Best for extinction AND gen 2. They can kill carchas in SECS

They are able to kill rock golems with relative ease with there spike attack, lvl 150 velonasaur killed lvl100 rock golem in 20 seconds.

Very handy and one of my favourite by far. They're just a walking spiky raptor that has multiple abilities similar to how the Theri does and is just a war machine. To tame you just have to wait until it's stationary in its turret mode, (Where it's face opens up and begins shooting) and begin spinning around it as it is very slow. Or just trap it. Either way, I used shock darts and got it out in 3. Just feed it meat and wait.

Once you take it you'll soon see its ability and power, and as far as suggested upgrades, I'd advise leveling up health, damage and stam most, but be generous to speed as well as it is naturally slow.

The abilities go as follow. (Xbox)

Right Stick (Press) (R3) - Thrash

Spins around lashing tail and head shooting darts in a 360° arc around you quickly.

Left Bumper (Press Once) (LB) - Activate Sentry

Opens his face and slows you in which you can begin to shoot spins extremely fast in an accurate direction. Press again to deactivate.

*IN SENTRY* Right Trigger (Hold) (RT) - Shoot

Once in sentry mode, hold RT and aim in the direction to furiously mow down anything that looks at you the wrong way.
