Due to their small size its easy to knock them down from a little higher position. It seems like they dont shoot at you while youre on a rock or some other highground so its a easy tame even without a taming cache. But beware of their needle attack if you follow them in escape mode. They can take down low health players very fast

Oh and to kill it do the same thing with trank arrows and then go with a sword (optional) and hit it till it is dead.

Careful when taming, this beast is a sniper. Make sure you have cover before attempting to get this thing down. It doesn't take much tranqs. However, you can be easily be shot to death. Once you get out of its melee range, he will lean forward and melt you out with his "laser". He isn't the best in any particular aspect, Just a regular tame, like a combat parasaur. If you still decide to get one, careful when going in water! This is NOT an ocean guy. In my opinion, he could be used on some sort of base protecting, but he will 100% get shreded by anything bigger than a carno. Also, It is terribly slow. Although its stamina is crazy high, the laser beam drains a lot of it. About its saddle, it is very cheap, unlockable at 47, I think. Good luck, and remember: don't get close, get cover and have some tranqs on you!

I play in an extinction server where the max levels are around 1000. And that's wild dinos. I tamed a level 500 velono and it does 4000 damage per shot.PER SHOT! You can drain any boss with this dino or just have it protect your base. Although stamina will be an issue. But on my server you can level up stamina once and it goes up to 999999. So if you can get this thing on a quez and fly around every boss with just one of these things you'll

be set.

Here's how to tame a Velonasaur effectively(at least thats how i tamed 2 of em):

You will need:

•A Crossbow or longneck rifle( i got mines w crossbow)

•About 15-30 tranq arrows (idk how bad is your aim or how many it needs in a rifle, but get a substancial amount)

•(optional) a very tanky dino or a window to serve as cover

How to knock:

1- find one in an not-so-open space( the more places to cover the better)

2- get some distance, although moving around it may seem a good idea, it can turn pretty quickly in turret mode.

3- Play the Trench game where:

-you shoot it

-it tries to shoot you

-you hide

-he moves closer to you

-you run

-repeat

Doing so with covers will let you have some time to react before it shoots you.

Note:you will take damage, thats kinda unfortunate, but with the covers it lets you eat some food or potions

When it starts to run away, run towards him, jumping whenever you shoot

From this point you probably already know what to do: shoot, hide, repeat, run to him, knock him, and feed him.

And then VOILÁ, you just got the most exciting dino i have ever tamed so far. ENJOYYY!!!

Best way I’ve found to trap them is two large bear traps and 4 wooden billboards. Place the 2 bear traps, then keep it far enough away that it can’t shoot at you but keeps coming towards you. Once it gets caught in the bear traps run and place the billboards. Hope this helped! ^^

What you'll need: 1 quarter foundation, 4 quarter walls, something to make it sleepy, and a high level velonasaur.

How to KO it;

Build a quarter foundation with three quarter walls, then grab the velo's attention get back in ur box put the last quarter wall and knock that bad boy out.
