A really good method I used to tame a lvl 130 was to get my snow owl (anything will work as long as it has 3K health minimum), land it right next to the velonasaur, wait till it aggroed and jumped off, from there what happened was it was too close to my snow owl to use turret mode so it used the swipe which does pretty much no damage. When I started tranqing it it was focused on my snow owl and kept attack it until it started torpor running even though I was right next to it. Up if you find that this works because I’m not certain how reliable this is

These guys are really easy to tame now with the net gun. Just net them and box them in instead of trying to lure them into a trap. Once netted, they can't shoot.

When knocking out, engage at far range but close enough to keep it in turret mode. If its still in turret mode when it trys to flee, resulting in a snail like getaway. Allowing you to move in closer near the end.

U can make wood walls to lead it toa trap

If you have a large creature I used a reaper because reduced damage and stand on its back and shot it

Unfortunately, it doesn't work anymore to just run up to it and walk circles around it (it will stay in turret and shoot you till you're dead). Instead find a cliff and try shooting it from above so that it will shoot against the cliff instead of you.

Try a decently high level snow owl with stats invested in health and stam set to passive stay no wander, land right in front of the vela you wish to tame getting aggro on the owl then tranq, tame, and cryo the vela keeping an eye on your owl the entire time, if they get too bloodyvyou can always hop onto the owl and freeze up for a heal on both you and the wild Dino making it less likely for both creatures to die without affecting the torp too much

Use a quetzal and pick it up and it won’t attack the quetzal but be careful when around other velanasours

These Dino's are really easy to tame.if your solo you can shoot it with tranqs,then run away,then rinse and repeat!if you have a Dino,use it to tank the hits from the Dino!if you have tribe mates,you can do the solo method or give a shield to your tribe mate to tank

Can’t be picked up be pteradons! Good way to tame is getting a trap 4 stone foundations 4 ramps 8 stone door frames and lure it in. They eat super fast and take little prime.

These things have a 1 meter Agro range but take a while to give up on attacking you. Usually spawns alone or in a pack of 2 or 3.

You can easily tame one with a friend on a crystal wyvern, just pick the velo up and hover for someone to tranq it. You can also use a normal wyvern but crystal wyvern are easy to tame

The best way to tame this thing is legit net it and kick it in the face with a horse untill it loves you

Make sure to have two people once it shooting at one the other shoots the velo and don’t think it’s tranqed when it runs away it’s getting more space to shoot you from but once you have two females and a male just keep breeding them

82-90°F is the required temp yo hatch an egg from these guys. Definitely need to let dododex know it needs to include this into the data.

The babys eat VERY much meat when you leave them alone

I tamed it by walking my enforcer straight up to it, glitching it's head in my body

If you can get these guys under you when your on a cliff they can't hit you so you have the perfect opportunity to knock them out.

Great for PVP, Especially on Boosted Arks, considering you can get a high damage. Easy way to tame is to have a snow owl and freeze it then have a friend trank it!

My 150 velonasaur tames at a level 222 with mutton, Not 221.
