This Velonasaur is way to OP like a machine gun on legs with a big range and never misses a shot

In pvp, you can use a sniper from long range to easily kill them. Though there damage is insane, there health is terrible, a total glass cannon. If you are in medium it close range you are dead.

Plain and simple organic turrent that grounds flying dinos.

Best for extinction AND gen 2. They can kill carchas in SECS

They are able to kill rock golems with relative ease with there spike attack, lvl 150 velonasaur killed lvl100 rock golem in 20 seconds.

Pair these with a plat quetzal and you have an amazing aerial fighter. Why not use auto turrets well because if you hit one once or twice with an RPG it will get destroyed and the velonasaur if pumped in health can’t by the way if you do use this only pump health pumping damage won’t effect the damage the needles from the velonasaur will do and since you will be taking out outher aerial threats or some ground threats you won’t need to pump health another good thing about this is that you don’t need to use up any more bullets on you quetzal. Also you can pick up a velonasaur if you can’t fit anymore on the platform which will be effective against ground targets and more aerial targets trying to get to the more week spot of the quetzal so highly recommend I’ll be doing a lot more of these tactics on other creatures as well so see you on the next tip ;) - A.L.N.A

Very handy and one of my favourite by far. They're just a walking spiky raptor that has multiple abilities similar to how the Theri does and is just a war machine. To tame you just have to wait until it's stationary in its turret mode, (Where it's face opens up and begins shooting) and begin spinning around it as it is very slow. Or just trap it. Either way, I used shock darts and got it out in 3. Just feed it meat and wait.

Once you take it you'll soon see its ability and power, and as far as suggested upgrades, I'd advise leveling up health, damage and stam most, but be generous to speed as well as it is naturally slow.

The abilities go as follow. (Xbox)

Right Stick (Press) (R3) - Thrash

Spins around lashing tail and head shooting darts in a 360° arc around you quickly.

Left Bumper (Press Once) (LB) - Activate Sentry

Opens his face and slows you in which you can begin to shoot spins extremely fast in an accurate direction. Press again to deactivate.

*IN SENTRY* Right Trigger (Hold) (RT) - Shoot

Once in sentry mode, hold RT and aim in the direction to furiously mow down anything that looks at you the wrong way.

I don't know if this has been posted yet but if you equip the spyglass while in turret mode you can snipe or use full auto careful though the recoil is crazy! 😂😂😂

Can be picked up with wyverns.

Tamed giga killer just get on a cliff and rain down needles

If you sneak up on it (ghillie suit , cactus brooth ) and get up close it won't start fireing so just shoot it with darts entill it's knocked out also if your planning to do this on higher levels you might want more health so use mind wipe tonic if you think you need more health. p.s it hits you instead of shooting you when you get really close.

If u want to use it for turret mode u can better lvl stam

To activate turret mode on xbox, you need to press LB button (you can put a scope when you shoot with him by pressing LB and the button where is the scope) velonasaur can shoot at a very long range) (i have a velonasaur level 150 and it takes 5 sec to kill a t rex level 25)

These guys are super OP everywhere, but especially Aberration. I was transferring over creatures from my extinction map to Aberration and wanted to bring my Velonasaur, Machine Gun. Only level 96 at the time, not as high level as my other creatures. I went out on this guy in the fertile forest and just slaughtered everything. Three ravagers, all around level 80-100 attacked, but they were no match for Machine Gun. Moral of the story is, get one of these. They are incredibly powerful! And super common in the Desert Dome

Carry one on a quetz or wyvern and you could use it to kill wild gigas. Can be used against bosses but it doesn't have very much health. Only tame high levels and only use imprinted mutated velos otherwise they are useless.

Dont use these for raids unless it's used for backup not the breaking into a base part they only damage thatch so make sure there for defense otherwise your in a heap load of trouble

Melee does nothing for turret mode, however increases needle damage when ridden. Will shred anything you aim at.

Has a short range, but a spyglass can be used like a scope.

The attack where it spins around firing needles shreds large dinos.

Today I had to get a few of these bad boys and a tek parasaur because I caught someone trespassing on my base on a server, I would recommend these bros big time -Calzone
