Tips & Strategies

What are tips for tapejara? Tips and strategies for tapejara in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
These guys are useful for taming anything. Step 1. Tame it. Step 2. Get on FRONT SEAT. It won't work riding or going on back seat. Step 3. Whistle attack at any Dino, just don't die. Step 4. Quickly whistle it up into the air, away from the angry/scared Dino. Step 5. Go to any Dino you want to Tame. It can anything as long as your pretty high in the air. Enjoy taming anything without going through the trouble of traps. Just keep whistling it up, as it may try going down alot. It will also never run out of stamina when your whistling it around, making it an excellent travel mount. Hope this helped.
My favorite flyer tied with the argentavis I got a really good one on extinction and I used it all the time they aren’t hard to tame they can be used to transport materials, travel, and even fight as they can have decent health and melee. So an all around great mount that in my opinion is underrated
You know what? This is actually a Tupandactylus. Its crest is not actually a crest, but the same material as Its wings. Tapejara didn’t have that.
I always find at least three flying around and landing at the hidden lake
I found that this Dino is awesome if there is an alpha Dino nearby and you don’t want to risk your base or yourself to complete destruction. Find a cliff or a redwood tree that is near to the alpha, hang upside down and fire away at the beast until it is dead. Boom, pro hunting at it’s finest!
I actually find it hard and sad to kill some tappy just for a tropeonagthus that is a decent level to spawn.
I tamed one at level 21, i just used a bola and a club and some meat, that’s all
Um so turns out the one I tamed was a female so I now have a source to tape Jara eggs is that good? Uproot if that is good
On solo mobile ark GET GHILLIE ARMOR. Played 7 months without ever could tame tapejara . It just fled away, spent 100 bolas on trying. Until today than i read, GHILLIE ARMOR gives you camouflage and tapejara is nit flying away except if you are getting TOO close. Yes, i tamed my first tapejara after so much time.
I be seeing this so much not knowing what is was is this rare I saw like 3 in one day
I found a Tapajera while looking for an Equus, these things are hard to tame and knock out. I decided to try to tame and I threw a bola at him and he was trapped. I slowly started beating to Knock out with a club because at the time I was a noob and didn’t have tranq arrows just yet. It started losing health really quickly and I was confused why. Sadly, he died due to 3 Dilo’s. 1 like = one prayer for the tapajera
Sniped one with a bola, the rest was easy.
The Tapejara in the picture is actually my cousin, Jerry, doing his weird stunts.

Okay this is probably gonna sound stupid but... it’s just a thought, so if you don’t like it, DON’T LOOK AT IT!!
The fact that these guys are so distrustful and shy towards humans is so embarrassing that it sometimes makes me feel a little bad for them... So there should be an option to passively tame them, where we just apply bug repellent and wear ghillie armor. From there, they will only get scared and fly off if we come into PHYSICAL contact with them.
They would accept all meat (probably including fish meat, since they’d likely either scavenge off of dead bodies of a more aggressive carnivore’s rampage, and would probably also eat fish to avoid conflict, as they are shy, yet carnivorous). They’d also accept Chitin, as the wiki mentions that they were piscivores IRL.
The only problems I see are:
A. Most people likely wouldn’t use it and stick to the tradition.
B. Bug repellent is meant for insects. Tapejara are pterosaurs. I’m not sure it would affect Tapejara.
Here's a tip on how to tame this. Use full ghillie armor. Crouch walk behind it , Bola it, And Quickly Tranq it
One of my tapes got killed by a stupid braindead raptor
