You should go looking for it in de Scorched Earth desert. When one of em lands quickly throw a bola on it and bat it KO. Easy tame from there.

Easy tame, if you bola first. Very skittish. Excellent aerial manoeuvrability (strafing, and backwards possible). Can perch on vertical surfaces and regain stamina. Saddle carries three people, all of whom can use weapons. Excellent flyer for tribe operations, just keep an eye on weight capacity when loaded for bear and try not to get hit, low health. Can grab a few things but not too much. If you have the chance, grab it. Good utility flyer, can do a bit of everything just not especially good at anything except as a multiple aerial transport, and dog fighting.

The pachyrhino can aggro them using its angering debuff, so apply the debuff get close to it, and it will come flying at you. It will attack you and you can bola it while riding the pachyrhino.

I've been wanting to get since they are so beautiful but I hate the fact that they are so rare but I found one close to the swamp biome and one that was this beautiful violet color but HECK NO THEY ALWAYS FLY AWAY EVEN AT THE SLIGHTEST MOVEMENT AND EVERY TIME I SEE ONE I GET FRICKIN SWEATS THINKING THAT I CAN GET IT BUT NO!!!! they're more skittish than the cute Deer I tried to hand feed!!! anyway I found them near the green obelisk and the river near the redwood biome

These things are incredible on extinction. They are almost as common as pterodons in the sanctuary and their ability to land on walls makes traveling in the sanctuary and the sunken forest alot easier.

I was going to the green obelisk on my direwolf I passed a level 420 tapejara but it was to late I startled it and it flew away 😔😭😭😭 by the way they spawn near the Red obelisk

There is a bunch of them at the red obelisk on scorched earth. :)

This reptile is like an improved version of Pteranodon its much better.

How to tame one in the easy way:

1. Find a tapejara and then Bola it. (it if it sees you it flies away so quickly bola it before it flies away.)(I recommend crafting more cuz u might miss)

2. Then knock it out with tranq arrows, toxicant arrows, Tranquilizer darts or shocking Tranquilizer darts.

3. Once you have knocked it out feed it any type of meat or allosaurus kibble. Also if the taming takes too long feed it narcotics or other stuff that increases its torpor.

4. Enjoy your Tapejara! :)

Once on high top or they run regardless of rare flower or not... (Yes this is from experience) Knock them out while they are bolaed to prevent this

Hey I play on ps4 and I tamed 3 tapejaras but I can’t figure out how to switch seats without falling off. Is there a way to Switch seats in mid air without falling off

Use a fast creature - wolf, bear, raptor, sabertooth tiger - from whose saddle you can shoot, take a bola, and when tapejara lands, run there very fast! Tapejara will not have time to react and fly away, if you will throw the bola on the way to it. After this, knock it out and feed. It works on mobile, but I think, on PC it will works too.

On other maps, this flyer is outshined by Griffin's, tropeos, etc. But on the island/centre it is probably the best flyer for travelling.

Why do they say sneak up just run up really fast with a bola wack it with one and shoot it in the head with trauqs it’s quite easy after I got the hang of it good luck and have fun.

Best air creature in the island!! They maneuver in the air like a BOSS and cling to walls, trees, and even ledges!! And since I play mobile this is the closest thing I can get to a thyla or megalania so yea AWESOME!!!!!!!

Actually pretty good way to tame quetzals if no potent dust for dodo arrows. Set target on quetzal for it and it will chase it. Make sure it is low melee. As it is following shoot quetzal with tranq arrows/darts.

These spawn rarely in areas that enter the swamps like the South and also in the redwoods and NorthEast And west I usually find em in the southern isles swamps boundary And their spawn zone is also a raptor spawn zone so uhh

On the islands I found one stuck in a rock.I tamed it and named it George but then I had my friend over and he accidentally killed along with one of my favorite Argys and fast prardon. He is a very bad driver.
