On ark Mobile around the green Obelisk, I have never seen so many In my life. I’ve seen many cool / pretty colors of the Tapejaras. Around the green Obelisk on mobile, I have estimated I have seen 15 around the green Obelisk. I have found one by the river of the obelisk, and 100 meters away ANOTHER right in the entrance of the small jungle, MORE by the swampy, cross redwood and swamp areas. I managed to tame this the hard way. I used a pteranodon and brought and Tranq long neck rifle, keep fleeing. Finally managed to land in safe place, now I figured out it could’ve been easier ALOT with ghille, a bola, and some rare flowers that Argo it. I don’t know why but I tamed it easily the hard way, but wow, I have never realized there are so many and so easy to tame once you understand the concept of taming these, absolutely easy to tame and mutate it, breed it a crud ton and get a overpowered Tapejara With either high melee, speed, stamina, weight, whatever. Use ghillie, If your Pc or console(i am mobile) use cactus broth, crounch walk up tô It BOLA IT and KO or build a trap like bob the builder or flash as fast as possible

A Tamer's Guide to Tapejaras

Step 1: Craft Bolas, 3-5 in case you miss.

Step 2: Gather rare flowers, about 10 should do.

Step 3: Get a good flight mount that can take some hits, like a pelagornis.

Step 4: Find the Tapehara you want and eat rare flowers while on your mount, the Jara will start attacking you.

Step 5: Fly to a surface, land, jump off and bola the Jara.

Step 6: Beat that mofo into submission. Easy way to tame the skittish Tapejara.

Honestly on Ark Mobile, if you fly up really high there are tons of them just sittin up there. Also occasionally a few griffins. Really easy to find them idk why they are called rare.

Popular tame! But super hard to bola since they are extremely skittish. I would suggest staying low tok the ground to find one as they dont fly around unless running. Crouch walk when you see one and consume a rare flower. This will agroit and they will come to attack you. This helps yoh bola it since it wont flee. I ate rare flowers.it didn't aggro on me.i tried twice but it just flew away & disappeared it's a male one .

Always spawn on the Island near Green Ob, and near to Red Ob. Use bola, and full gillie suit to approach. Make sure you are crouching when you approach one. I've had Taps on official and unofficial. Great multi purpose tame for tribes. Not so good for solo players unless you get the tek engram for the saddle

they get stunned by rex so dont go near rex

As i was making my base i just saw one, then i used a bola on it and blasted it with tranq arrows, bolas usually last around 30 seconds but me i use second one and so on so forth when it reaches 25 seconds

So the thing is you need to find it it's hard but if you do follow these steps:

1:when you see it wait for it to land

2:sneak up to it if they see you they'll fly away so crouch

3:when your close to it bola it

4:shoot it with tranq arrows, tranq darts, remember tranq arrows can kill it

5:when it's unconscious give it raw meat,raw prime meat,allosaurus kibble it prefers allosaurus kibble

And boom you have a tapejara

If your trying to tame of of these with out it running away you can go out on a flyer that you can use a bola on. Then after you have it on the bola you can knock it out. Then feed it meat. Then you have your own Tapejara. I hope this was helpful :)

When I tamed mine, I just ran up to it from behind with Bola in hand, and just as it gets scared, yeet the bola, then shoot in the face with tranqs.

If you good enough you dont need ghillie suit or rare flower just get close enough without entering its range while its landed aim slightly above it and throw your bola then just club it unconscious and feed

If it flies away from you when you want to tame it, use a rare flower to aggro it. You can attempt to shoot it down while aggro’ed, but it will also land again once it’s no longer angry so you can try again.

Telly easy tame and great for maps without wyverns or for lower lv ppl.

1- sneak up, crouching w hola

2- bola it and KO it

3- feed meat and narco

4- fly away on your new flier!

I know this isn’t a tip but i found like two Tapejaras near the redwoods and they just ran away before I could even try to get my bola out any tips on this would be very useful

Good for raiding with gek saddle

A lot of people say the tapejara is extremely hard to take it isn't it's simple as bola it and than tranq arrow it not only that but they're amazing for transport being able to carry 3 people on they're saddle at once

I found one while flying on my pteranadon when i saw it he started flying away i saw many of these but it was a dangerous area

If you see one make sure you tame I found 1 in a island server and was killed because it was a PvP server and the person left it for me as it was a "rare find" and they already had one
