No bolo and sneaking necessarily..just have a good owl or flyer with a lot of stamina..when you spot the one you want wait for it to land, keep your distance and make sure it’s back is to you, one or two good head shots with a longneck and tranqs you are good to go.

This thing is a bit to op in pvp

If you’re on scorched earth I found LOADS in the mountains near the red obelisk they’re really easy to tame with a long neck and tranquilliser darts but I couldn’t get mine to bola, have fun

If you eat a rare flower a tapajara will follow you to try to kill you and you can just tame him easily just make sure to beware of other dinos

Easiest way is to build a trap, get an argent and eat rare flowers to lure it in the trap. From there you know what to do.

For capturing it I find it easy to find one landed already and run with bola swinging and throw it at its head then shoot with tranqs easy capture

On the Center map, one spawns almost every hour on jungle south between 60,50 and 60,60 in the area right across from the lone island. I go with some bolas and tranq gear and scavenge around that area until one spawns.

Can kill wild gigas with or without the tek saddle by assriding them

I suggest using a pt and eating rareflowers to lead it to a trap

When I try to bola it and flys away I get depressed

If you find one eat a rare flower and every passive or neutral Dino’s should come to attack you so make sure you are protected then just trap it in gates and knock it out ez tame a L bozo

Be careful how you walk near these creatures, as a startled Tapejara will fly away in such panic that you wont be able to catch it again for quite some time unless you wait for it to land again.

Ghillie suits generally make them harder to startle(i.e. you have to get much closer before they startle).

On ark Mobile around the green Obelisk, I have never seen so many In my life. I’ve seen many cool / pretty colors of the Tapejaras. Around the green Obelisk on mobile, I have estimated I have seen 15 around the green Obelisk. I have found one by the river of the obelisk, and 100 meters away ANOTHER right in the entrance of the small jungle, MORE by the swampy, cross redwood and swamp areas. I managed to tame this the hard way. I used a pteranodon and brought and Tranq long neck rifle, keep fleeing. Finally managed to land in safe place, now I figured out it could’ve been easier ALOT with ghille, a bola, and some rare flowers that Argo it. I don’t know why but I tamed it easily the hard way, but wow, I have never realized there are so many and so easy to tame once you understand the concept of taming these, absolutely easy to tame and mutate it, breed it a crud ton and get a overpowered Tapejara With either high melee, speed, stamina, weight, whatever. U can land on walls and rocks find at green

They can have unlimited stamina if you are on mobile just use passenger seat while in air but make sure he is on stop other wise he will land down and get killed

If you go near them they run away

They live near the metal mountains

I just found out you can land on trees

If you’re thinking on getting one, get it. The hardest thing abt these are finding them. Otherwise taming, saddle making, ect is easy as.

Why you ask? Find one with good health, their xp levels are low so you can level them up easy as, they don’t do much damage but with the health, kill as many things as possible. They aren’t strong you say? I just encountered 3 carnos, 2 sarvos, a few snakes and a pack of terror birds, I was alone and accepting death when ‘Coochayyy’ stepped in and helped. Both got out alive. Upgrade speed and weight. They already come with pretty good weight for a flyer, but their stamina is also alright, might want to level that up too tho. With all these new levels you now have a perfect carrier. When going on long adventures for anything bring them, they can carry all your language as you explore.
