Chapter three
Kalmar slashed at the savage man, who jumped backwards angrily, snarling. He stabbed at him, but he dodged and swung his bone club, but kalmar jumped to safety. Him and his patrol had been ambushed by savage men, murderous people who ate any flesh they could find, there teeth were sharp and jagged, and they used weapons made of bone, their armour was made of bone as well. They’d brought down three of the savage men, but they’d killed four members of kalmar’s patrol, and corpses littered the ground. Suddenly, a savage man knocked him backwards onto the sand, and lifted up his bone axe, ready to deal the killer blow. Kalmar yelled to his best friend, Lamakar, but he was involved in a sword fight with another savage man, and couldn’t hear him. All of a sudden, an arrow struck the back of the savage mans head, killing him and causing him to fall backwards. Kalmar got up and looked around, trying to see the source of the arrow, and then he found it, a man wearing an eyepatch, with the left side of his face burnt horribly...
