What are tips for rock drake? Tips and strategies for rock drake in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
If you see this semi-invisible blue-ish silhouette walking around the blue zone, dont go up to it. Its a camoflauged rock drake. It will eat you.
They are really easy to raise. In 10 minutes they lose about 57 food and in 1 hour they lose 343 , also , 1 nameless venom gives 400 food.
Please add these to lost island, it would be so cool. Up so WildCard can see this
For Ark Ascended players, they now spawn in valguero
(Search up the rock drake hive location)
Fjordur: Nameless Venom is harvested from the yellow-oozing rocks in the Abberant cave in south Vannaland and the Rock Drakes are found in Asgard.
You’ll need 2 Hazmat suits, a glider suit, 2–3 climbing picks, and two strong 10k+ HP dinos (I recommend Megalosaurs).a light pet, A Dire Bear is optional but very helpful. Bring a Zeppelin and several Cryopods for transporting your dinos.
Take the Zeppelin to the entrance of the Red Zone where the path starts going down. There’s a safe section before the radiation begins — land there. From that point, glide down toward the Rock Drake nest area.
Once you land, throw out your dinos. Leave the Dire Bear somewhere safe near the entrance. Start by clearing the upper Drake nests and collect the eggs there — you’ll need your climbing picks for this part. Kill every Rock Drake you see.
Tip: After you grab the first egg, multiple Drakes will aggro onto you. Kill them before attempting to grab more eggs.
After clearing the top nests, move toward the main nest area. Cryo your dinos, glide down, deploy them again, and repeat the process. When you’re ready to head back, cryo your dinos and use your climbing picks to get out of the trench.
Store all the eggs in the Dire Bear since you’ll likely be encumbered. You can repeat this process until you run out of Hazmat suits or your Dire Bear gets too heavy.
When you’re finished, run back up to the entrance and return to your Zeppelin.
This is not really about rock drakes but everyone who plays aberration must know . If you want to protect yourself from element poisoning ( purple rivers ) eat aserbic mushrooms to temporary protect yourself against element poisoning but don't eat too many or you'll get knocked out! Or you eat stimulants after . P.s to protect yourself against frozen spores ( found in blue areas ) eat aquatic mushrooms . Eat the brown mushrooms to protect yourself against colourful spores which make you suffercate found on top layer not surface ! The less oxygen you have the more damage colourful spores will do to you
For everyone whining about how this needs to be in Valguero, it was originally the case. That’s why they added the irradiated/luminous area into The Emerald Forest, as they were planning on adding the rock drakes and their nests into it. While I do know that, I’m not sure why they discarded actually adding the rock drakes... more than likely a time constraint or because ‘drakes didn’t fit Valguero’s map.
When taming these, be sure to have enough nameless venom on you. Once you steal the egg, RUN FOR YOUR LIFE. YOU BETTER HOPE YOU HAVE SOMETHING FAST SO YOU CAN ESCAPE OR YOU WILL GET RIPPED APART BY ALL THE MOMMIES AND DADDIES. Back to the point. Once you have the egg, make sure that once you get back to your base you have PLENTY of AC’s ready. Once hatched and raised you will unlock the saddle at level 75 for 26 engram points. These guys can glide, jump super high, boost while flying so you can grab walls, and turn invisible. If this was helpful, please up.
Rockdrakes are on Fjordur !!!!!!!
For whoever might not know, these babies spawn in the Ab cave on Astraeos. You can also get the nameless venom from killing King/Queen Scorpions in the Pyranthos update for the map.
Just use a karkinos. Drop into one of the nest. Pick up the egg and get on the crab. Then all you gotta do is press against the wall. Most will jump past u and the ones that do reach u should be easy enough to kill. Wait till they calm down and then jump back up. Easy as that 😂
Get a fjodrhawk and go in the cave get one and then you will probably die and the fjodrhawk bring you the egg
New as of 2026 : instead of 20 Acs now they require 13-14 to hatch rockdrake eggs
With TLC Update 3 out and wyverns are now breedable, I would definitely recommend getting a 190 high base stat breeding pair ready for the future as I don't see why they wouldn't make Rock Drakes breedable as well.
