The Obelisk
-Chapter 87-
Crimson stared out at the hissing waves, sprays of white water leaping out at the rocks and crawling away. She liked looking at water, no matter how angry it made her feel sometimes. The scent of both lingering rain and ocean spray amalgamated, a strange but comforting mix of scents.
“Mind if join you?”
Crimson turned her head to see the sleek Shadowmane, Moonbeam, coming to stand next to her.
“Uh—” Crimson said as Moonbeam sat down with a pleased sigh. She glanced at Crimson, then at the rocky beach beyond. “Such a nice view, isn’t it?”
“I guess so,” Crimson said, staring at her. The Shadowmane shuffled around to get herself comfortable, batted a small stick out of her way, and twined her tail over her front talons.
Moonbeam didn’t say anything for a long minute as she gazed at the happy camp of Shadowmanes scattered acrossed the shore.
“Its strange,” Crimson decided to say, catching Moonbeams attention. “All these smiling faces, laughing and playing as if there’s nothing wrong going on outside of this forest.”
“We came here to escape to escape the chaos, not confront it,” Moonbeam said. “The Shadowmanes made that mistake in Asgard.”
“You won’t succeed.” Crimson said. “It will find you all eventually. It always does.”
Moonbeam was quiet for a moment, watching Crimsons expression. “I understand.”
“No, you don’t,” Crimson interrupted her. “Everyone says that. Like they’ve felt what I’ve felt. Like they’ve experienced it when they haven’t. Like they know what I feel, when they d o n’ t.”
“But I do,” Moonbeam hissed sternly.
Crimson stopped, risking to look up at her.
“I really, really do.” She said. “I’ve lost more than you know. I’ve made mistakes that led to things I wish I could change, but I can’t. I’ve been so, so stupid, and that stupidity killed my only brother.”
Crimson could see the guilt and sadness in Moonbeams dark blue eyes. “I—” she stammered, at a loss for words. “I’m sorry.” She whispered.
“Do me a favor, Crimson,” Moonbeam said, “if I may call you that. Stop trying to hide the grief. It won’t fix anything; It’ll only make it harder. Believe me. I know.”
Crimson stared into the glistening Shadowmanes deep blue eyes. For the first time, she found comfort there.
“Moonbeam, I—”
There was suddenly a cry of fear, and Crimson, Moonbeam, and everyone on the beach froze, whipping their heads around to the shore.
A Shadowmane was crying her kits name. Eyes were looking all around, but Crimson was sweeping her gaze over the waves where the sound had come from. She spotted the glimmer of the kit struggling in the strong tow of water.
“He’s in the water!” One of the Shadowmanes yelled.
Crimson was already jumping passed Moonbeam, who had stood up in sharp-eyed panic. She pelted acrossed the rocks, feeling the salty air whip passed her, and dove straight into the ocean.
Water surrounded her. She lashed her powerful tail, which sent her gliding through the water. Quick to spot the kit, she thrust her head to the surface, the churning blue water all around.
The kit saw her, too, and called out for help. She swam quickly towards him and reached, but a sudden, thundering wave crashed down and slammed into them. The force pulled her under like thousands of grasping talons. She was shoved to the bottom, several tail-lengths under the water. Her head crashed into the bone-hard rocks, knocking out her breath in a flurry of bubbles. She felt her eyes close for a moment, but quickly regained herself. The kit was sinking down, too, his eyes wide and his mouth closed tightly, an attempt to hold his breath. Crimson propelled herself forwards and grabbed onto him with her talons. The water flew passed as she pumped her tail hard and broke to the surface. The shore was close, and the two struggled in the water down to the beach, finally reaching it as a concluding wave shoved them out.
Crimson collapsed onto the rocks, the little Shadowmane panting in her arms. She felt his heart beating by her chest, just as fast as hers.
“Shhh, you’re alright. It’s Ok,” she whispered to him, over the sound of the crashing waves and the Shadowmanes running towards them. She pulled her head in close and placed it onto the smooth pebbles, holding the Shadowmane tight. “Everything’s going to be Ok.”

[life of small ott 1# the beginning]
When little ott finaly opened his eyes, he coudnt beleave what he saw. It was a small river, filled with salmon, ceolocanth, but no dangerouse piranhas or other creaturs. He looked around, and he saw big tall things sourounding them. The bipeds call them walls, and use them to contain things or keep them safe. Apparently, he was lucky enough to be born in an otter sanctuary. The water was crystal clear, filled with hundreds of fish, with Little Rocks evrywere for the newborns to cross. He wanted to explore, until, suddenly, he felt jaws of a carnivore, much bigger then him, grab his neck. He thought he was about to die, but it was just his mother. As she pulled him into the den, (the bipeds call the mother Masha) other otters sourounded him curiously with their eyes open wide. “I think I’m going to name you… Fluffy.” Said Masha. Masha then layed down, and tiny hairless creatures came over to Masha and began to nurse. Since Fluffy just opened his eyes, he still depended on milk, so he be an to nurse too. After they were full, they fell asleep curled up nussed into their mother. (Plz like! I spent so much time on this, and I will make another on Tuesday! I made this on 8/30/2021! I hope you like it!)
Ultimately Chapter 10: The Search for Sanctuary Part Two
Andrew heard Reuben whine as they stood in the dark, not knowing where they were. He assumed that the pedestal was really the small terminal to a large teleportation pad. He took off his backpack and reached in for his flashlight. He grabbed it and turned it on. He found himself in a damp, cavelike room. Inside the room, by the back wall were several items including a small teleportation pad. Something that Andrew thought would come in handy later. Andrew turned around and looked at the rest of the room. The room connected to a tunnel that seemed to be uneven with the room he was in. Andrew walked toward the tunnel and looked down to the bottom of the tunnel and saw rail tracks. He was in a subway station. He jumped down and looked to his left and then to his right. To both sides the tunnel continued with an access ladder back to the room on the right. Andrew stood there for moment unsure of what to do next. He didn’t know which way to go. He wasn’t sure what direction would take him to where he wanted to go. He took a chance and decided to go the left.
“Reuben, Come.” Andrew said aiming the flashlight at him.
Reuben immediately jumped down into Andrew’s arms. Andrew dropped the flashlight and quickly caught him, falling to the ground afterwards. Reuben got up and walked off Andrew and started licking his face. Andrew giggled and started shielding himself from the tongue ticking him. After a moment of struggling with Reuben and his uncontrollable tongue. He got up, grabbed the flashlight and started walking into the left tunnel with Reuben close behind.
* * * *
Andrew walked for what felt like only an hour before noticing that the tunnel began to get brighter and brighter. And as he walked further down the tunnel. He saw bright white light cracking through the dark tunnel. Andrew could barely see with all the light blinding him. He knew he was nearing the end of the tunnel.
He continued walking forward and walked straight into a wall. He fell back and his eyes began to adjust finally. The subway tunnel at some point collapsed at the entrance to the tunnel, leaving only a tight gap to walk through. Andrew hated tight spaces. But he felt this was the only way to the outside world, to Sanctuary and to hopefully others. He looked back at Reuben and whistled him to follow as Andrew squeezed through the crevices and to the outside world.
Ultimus Chapter 10: The Search for Sanctuary Part One
Andrew ran as fast as he could down the path with Reuben running by his side. He didn’t care about the dangers that lurked around or above him. All he wanted was to get to the entrance and hope that their was a vehicle there for him to use. He drove the ATVs before and knew how they worked. So that was the easy part down and all he had left was to get to the entrance and hope their was a vehicle.
He continued running through the dark forest path, yet the trees kept getting thinner and further between. Andrew soon noticed the he could see outside of the forest and see buildings on the edge of the forest. He had finally made it!!! But instead of excitement, he became filled with fear to the sight he beheld. Reuben ran to his side and gave a whine of fear too.
A wasteland of death and destruction. The ground beyond the forest pale and discolored. The landscape unearthly compared to even what Andrew remembered. It had been so long ago since he last saw the outside world to this forest or the school at Arat. He forgot how bad it looked, but it didn’t look quite like this. And why didn’t the forest take over more of the wasteland?
“What Happened?” Andrew said out loud, he took a step forward and heard a metallic sound. He looked down and noticed a large metal barrier on the ground. He looked to his left and it continued around the forest in that direction, looked to his right and it did the same thing. He also noticed to his right was the visitor center for the park on the edge of the forest. Andrew ran over and noticed the vehicles that were parked next to the buildings. Four old ATVs, one of them looked like his parents. He went to it and looked inside at the vehicle. Keys still in the ignition. He looked in the glove compartment and found the owner registration, Hunter and Kim Lang. Andrew couldn’t believe it. Why did they leave their ATV here? The closest airport was over a hundred miles away. Andrew then noticed a weird pedestal, it stood behind the building and was all by itself.
“This doesn’t make sense. Why would Mom and Dad leave the ATV here?” Andrew said out loud again, Reuben looked at Andrew as he said this.
Andrew and Reuben walked over to the old, strange pedestal. As he got closer to it, he could felt something pulsing through him. It was strange feeling, yet felt powerful and energizing. He walked closer to the pedestal and noticed various names of cities on it from Arat Prime to Sanctuary with the dial last being set to Arat Prime. The button glowed red and sat there as if waiting for someone to press it. Andrew messed with the dial and noticed when he set the dial on specific points like Sanctuary, the button would go grey and seem to deactivate. He messed around with the dial some more and set to a setting called “S.S 4, near Sanctuary”. Andrew hovered his hand over the button. He didn’t know what any of this did or meant. He took a step back and looked at the visitor center.
‘Maybe I should grab a couple more things before pressing this button.’ Andrew thought and noticed to himself.
He walked away from the pedestal and walked towards the entrance. Andrew went to open the door, but he noticed the glass of the door was shattered and seemed to be safely accessible to just go through the frame.
“Reuben, stay here.” Andrew said, Reuben sat down and watched as Andrew went inside the building.
All the lights were off and very little light came through the windows and doors. Andrew looked around in the low visibility building and saw a camping shop in the corner. Andrew walked into the shop and saw cooking supplies, flashlights and other camping and survival equipment. Immediately Andrew went over and grabbed a first aid kit and a flashlight. Andrew looked over at the hunting knives and a backpack and grabbed one of each of those.
Andrew tried to grab everything and anything he could think of that he needed before leaving the visitor center with Reuben following and placing all the items in his parent’s ATV. He then went through all the items he had grabbed and thought of what he might need currently. He immediately grabbed the backpack, first aid kit and flashlight. As these items were important. He looked at the knife, was that needed? He packed it just in case.
Andrew and Reuben ran back to the pedestal and Andrew checked if he had everything he needed again. After he was sure he had everything, he raised his hand over the button. He took a deep breath and looked at Reuben.
“Here we go!!” Andrew said as he pressed the button. Pedestal made a sound and light flashed. The next thing Andrew knew, he was in the dark.
Just the other day, I was in a cave with my trusty Megatherium and Pax, my otter who was keeping me warm. I made it to almost the end of the cave, the part where you have to grapple to the wall. It was too tight for my Megatherium, so I left him at the shoreline of the lake. I grappled your and heard snakes hissing and that disgusting Arthropleura noise. I loaded my shotgun and jumped off of the cliff face. I jumped a little to far because I had two snakes and a centipede hot on my trail. I rapidly fired bullets from the shotty but my armor was broken and my torpor was rising. I eventually fell unconscious. I’d only managed to kill one of the snakes, meaning Pax and I were in danger. I was 99% sure I would die, especially when I head Pax fighting the remaining snake. Then the notification appeared on my screen; Pax had killed the snake! I stil heard the clicking noice of the arthro, but I had enough time to wake up before it scrambled off of the edge of the cliff that Pax almost pushed it off. A couple bullets to the head and it was finished. I got Pax and carried down the trail, watching for any threats, but we were all alone in the chamber. I ended up getting the artifact and carrying home a little bit of knowledge with it; NEVER underestimate an otter!
Riddles of the Phoenixes series
The War of the Phoenixes.
Chapter six: A name
Tom sat on his throne thinking. The door opened and a hooded figure came in(No it isn’t the shadowy figure) “Sir.” The person said and kneeled in respect. “I have news that Queen Nora and King William of the dark phoenix kingdom are sending a small army to stop us from taking over the lightning phoenixes. They’re headed there now.” The person said. Tom stroked his throne thoughtfully. “Hmm…good work my spy….MARVELO!!” He bellowed. A moment later, Marvelo appeared, looking annoyed.
He bowed slightly. “You called me…your majesty?” Marvelo asked. “Yes. Take a larger army to the lightning phoenixes. The Dark phoenixes have sent a tiny army to stop us. They will not be expecting your army. Crush them.” Tom instructed. Marvelo grinned darkly. “With pleasure.” The spy watched carefully. “Spy, you will go back to the Dark phoenixes and continue spying. Do not get caught.” Tom said. The spy nodded but Tom could hear him gritting his teeth in frustration. “Remember why you are here boy. You owe me and until this war is over…you will follow me. Do you understand?” Tom asked the spy. “Yes sir. How will you kill the phoenixes? I thought they could resurrect themselves.” The spy asked. Tom chuckled coldly.
“Yes that is true. If you kill a phoenix they will just come back…but if you give them a fast death they will die. For example, Marvelo’s ability is to move things with his mind. He could send a bullet at a speed so fast that if it struck a phoenix…they’d die. He can move objects with his mind. Marvelo, demonstrate. ” Tom instructed. Marvelo nodded, raised his hand, and balled it into a fist. The spy suddenly flew into the air and started choking. Tom stood up from the throne and approached the spy. “I can hear your thoughts. Do not think you can betray me or defeat me. My army is everywhere. They’re all controlled by me, and me alone. You’re nothing without me. NOTHING!” Tom roared.
The spy sputtered, as Marvelo held him in midair, choking him. “My brother thought he was SO powerful. He always paraded around, acting all haughty. He grew cold as he got older. But look where he is now! Living in the land of shadows. Dead! I crushed all that got in my way and if you do…I’ll crush you to. Got it?” Tom asked. They spy nodded. Tom motioned to Marvelo and Marvelo dropped the spy to the floor with a thud. The spy gasped for air, his face purple from lack of oxygen. Tom scowled at him. “Pathetic.” He growled and stomped back to his throne. “Go back to the castle spy. Do your job. Or else…”
Hailey lay in bed, Brutus lying by her feet. It would be time to get up soon, but Hailey felt as if something was wrong. There was someone she was supposed to be. There was something she was supposed to do. What though? Suddenly a face flashed in her vision. A woman with dark red hair and white eyes. The woman cocked her head at Hailey. “Josephina.” She whispered. Hailey blinked and the woman was gone. There was something Hailey was supposed to remember. Something long forgotten… and then she realized it. Something very important to her. Josephina. A name.

One day, I was walking around on my giga, with my otter Oyster on my shoulder, and we walked over a small pond. Than, I saw a Death message at the bottom of my screen:
Your Gigabyte (Giganotosaurus) killed an otter lvl 25!
The game crashed as the sound of otter laughter filled my headphones
Moral of the story: don't mess with otters
I just tamed my first otter after first seeing one three years ago. It took me THREE YEARS to find one again. I found it in the same spot I found that one three years ago. I fed it some fish and after what seemed like ages of anxiety attacks of it dieing I finally tamed it. I named him Oswald. After miles of more anxiety and dinos that wanted to kill me and Oswald I finally made it back to my island where my base is. I made my base like a farm and now me and Oswald do farm chores together and small adventures. He has made me feel better and happier after the loss of my pet cat. I will do updates on his adventures in life with me if anything happens that I find worth writing about.
Please pray for his survival🙏🏼
Once there was a noob survived. He saw one of these adorable little guys and immediately wanted one. He gathered two coelacanths to tame it (if I misspelled that it’s not my fault). He brought it back to his little base on the side of the bay. The otter was his pet. Only fed the finest of fish and regularly given treats. The otter, named Otto, slept on the services bed and woke him up in the morning. The services did everything to make Otto happy and Otto did the same for his survivor. One day the services was taking Otto for a walk when he was jumped by a raptor. The survivor did his best but as soon as the raptor pounced he new it was too late. He ran back as soon as he could to save his precious otter but when he got there the otter was fine, a raptor corps sat nearby. The survivor took the otter home and fed him.

Chapter 57: Camouflage
Part 2/2
Chris’ eyes widened, and he quickly stopped in his tracks. The light began to leave his eyes, and he saw the same man with the grass armor he had spied before crash landing. He was carrying a pistol in his right hand, and a sword in his left. His eyes penetrated Chris’, and Chris raised his hands in the air.
“That’s what I thought,” the man said with a raspy voice. Footsteps approached them, and the man looked past Chris. Two familiar voices rang throughout the air.
“G-General! We found this one, we found this one!” Nate said as he ran up to the man in grass armor. The man took a glance back and forth between Chris and Nate.
“What’s your name?” General calmly asked Chris. Chris gulped, glaring at the General.
“I won’t tell you!”
The General moved his finger to the trigger of his pistol, and Chris raised his arms even further into the air.
“Okay, I’ll tell you!” Chris replied, “It’s Chris…”
“Chris,” the General smirked underneath his mask, “My name is Arthur. But, if you were to address me, you should address me as General Wyvern. My true name.”
“General Wyvern,” Chris said. He gulped again, sweat pouring down his face, “I know what I did was wrong, but I wasn’t thinking straight. Please don’t kill me.”
“I won’t. If you cooperate and answer my questions and comply, I will not kill you.”
General Wyvern began to slowly move around Chris, like a shark circling its prey. His pistol was still pointed at his head.
General Wyvern stared into Chris’ soul for a few moments, before glancing at his two scouts again.
“Turn around for me, Chris.”
Chris turned around slowly, and he saw the two scouts staring at him dead to rights. Nate’s lip was bleeding, and he seemed very dizzy, while Patricia still had that mark on her face. Patricia couldn’t look at Chris, but Nate could. He smiled at the sight of Chris.
“Heh, you got him, General! You got the punk! But, know that, know that I was the one who found him! He only ran away because Patricia felt too sorry to hurt him! It got Jake killed! She deserves to be punished for it!”
Patricia’s eyes widened, and she began to back away.
“What? You- that’s not true!” Patricia protested.
General Wyvern ignored the two, rolling his eyes.
“So what? Jake is just a scout.”
General Wyvern pointed his gun at Noah’s leg and quickly pulled on the trigger. BAM! A bullet hit Noah right in the calf. He let out a scream of pain, collapsing to the ground and clutching it with all his might. He began to cry, and Patricia looked at General Wyvern in horror.
“General Wyvern, please-”
General Wyvern ignored Patricia and moved his pistol back to Chris.
“You’re a fool, I see that bloody spear. This boy fooled you into killing your ally. Lie to me again and I will shoot your arm off,” General Wyvern snarled, “I hate liars like you. I was not fond of you or your friend to begin with. You’re lucky I did not aim for your head.”
Chris gulped, and General Wyvern put a hand on his shoulder.
“Do not mind them. Only answer my questions. They are not of your concern, they are my responsibility,” he ordered him, “Now. Tell me, who do you work for? Or do you come alone?”
Chris gulped, before answering,
“The Book Club. Camp. We’re stationed at the Green Obelisk. I was sent out to scout. For someone. But, I found you instead.”
“Book Club,” General Wyvern said. He dangled his pistol in his right index finger, “Interesting. Now, does this Book Club… have anyone named Ben? And is this man, if he’s around, still alive?”
Chris blinked his eyes, and nodded.
“Yes. Ben is my friend. And he is still alive.”
General Wyvern’s eyes widened, and he smiled.
“Well, Chris, thank you for your cooperation…”
Chris gulped again, as General Wyvern lowered his pistol. He reached for his belt and took out a pair of handcuffs, slapping them right on Chris’ wrists. General Wyvern gently grabbed him by the arm.
“Patricia, you don’t mind helping take Nate back to camp, do you?”
Patricia quickly shook her head.
“No General, not at all.”
“Great, now let’s go. The Crimson Crusader will be very very pleased…”

“Find that ‘spy’, he has to have landed around this area,” a deep voice boomed across the jungle. Chris reflectively backed up against a tree, gritting his teeth gripping the trunk as hard as he could.
“Dang it, this isn’t good!” Chris told himself, “They know I’m here… Even with my power will they be able to spot me?”
The bushes and leaves beyond the treeline began to rustle, and three scouts emerged from the shadows. Each one wore cloth clothes like Chris and wielded primitive spears and bows. Chris gulped as the scouts approached him.
“Are you sure? What if he died in the fall?” one of them asked.
“Impossible,” the other scout replied, “We would have found his corpse along with that dead Pteranodon. He is still alive, somewhere in this jungle. He couldn’t have made it far.”
One of the scouts, who had stayed quiet the whole time, glanced over at Chris’ location. Chris’ eyes widened as the quiet scout approached him. She had black hair that was tied up into two buns, and bags under her eyes.
“Hmm,” she muttered under her breath, staring into Chris’ eyes. Chris shut his eyes, holding his breath in. His heart began to beat, his lungs gasping and demanding relief. Even when he was invisible, he couldn't move a single muscle.
“Patricia? What da hell are ya doin’ starin’ at that tree?” the other scout sneered.
“Nothing. I thought I spotted something, Jake,” Patricia the scout replied back quietly. The scout with the deep voice stomped his foot into the dirt.
“Damn it Patricia you aren’t doing us any favors with your senseless staring!” he bellowed.
“S-Sorry, Nate,” Patricia said in a soft whisper. Nate sighed and brushed his long, black hair. He walked up to Patricia, held his hand back, and Patricia flinched.
“I can’t hear you. You need to speak up,” Nate declared with rageful eyes.
“SORRY, Nate,” she responded back with sharpness. Jake slapped her in the face, and she fell on one knee.
“Don’t give him that attitude, you hear me?” Jake replied. Patricia gritted her teeth and grasped her cheek. It began to turn a red, leaving a seering mark. Nate kicked at her with a boot, clenched fists and hateful eyes.
“That’s damn right. You’re lucky we didn’t kill you when we found you washed up on that beach. You should be more grateful, brat,” Nate said, “Now I want you to apologize to us both. And don’t even think about giving me that crass.”
Patricia grumbled, and Jake took offense, lifting his boot up and slamming it into her back, causing her to fall to the ground. She let out a grunt, and Chris’ heart began to hammer. Seething, Chris couldn’t help but feel conflicted. Should he help, or should he stay put and let them pass?
“I warned you, now, APOLOGIZE,” Jake growled. Patricia began to tremble, and slowly but surely, Chris inched his way around them, making his way behind Jake and Nate, before finally he shimmered back into vision.
WARP.
Jake’s ears perked up.
“What was that noise-”
Chris wrapped his fingers around Jake’s throat, putting him in a chokehold. Jake dropped his spear, gagging and gasping for air. He pounded his fists into Chris’ arms, but he wouldn’t budge. He felt bruises growing along his limbs but he didn’t care. Nate quickly turned around.
“Why you-”
Nate moved his spear back and tried stabbing at Chris, but Chris lifted Jake up, and it ended up piercing him in the face. Chris dropped Jake and he collapsed to the ground, blood pouring out onto the sullen grass. Nate glared and clenched his fists. He was furious.
“YOU THINK YOU CAN KILL HIM AND GET AWAY WITH IT?” Nate asked, “You’re WRONG!”
Patricia tried getting up from the ground, but Nate slammed his foot into her again.
“Stay down. You’re just going to get yourself killed,” Nate ordered her. Nate looked back at Chris, but not before a blow was delivered to his jaw. Nate groaned and clutched his chin, and then he rushed in and delivered a knee to the weak spot. Nate let out another howl of pain, falling to both of his knees.
Chris looked at Patricia and nodded his head.
“Run!”
Chris quickly made a bolt out of the woods, not daring to look back in fear that the scout named Nate would be right behind him.
As the trees began to fade away, he was met with the everlasting Sun, a blinding light filled his eyes. He shielded his face with his right hand, but as he felt sand under his feet, he then felt the barrel of a gun to his temple.

Once, I was going home with two raptors and a carno on a raft, with my otter in a cage (For safety) w / my dad. But then, she randomly glitched out of the cage, and for in the water w/ 5 piranhas. She killed 4, but then… 💀 you dusty (otter) lv 13 was killed by piranha (piranha) lv 20! 💀 I was heartbroken. Cince it was a glitch dad said we can sommon a female that looked like her in, and forcetame it. ONLY BECAUSE IT WAS A GLITCH. It shouldn’t have happened, but it did. We didn’t get it figured out yet. 🤞🏻F in the story section For dusty🤞🏿
