“Find that ‘spy’, he has to have landed around this area,” a deep voice boomed across the jungle. Chris reflectively backed up against a tree, gritting his teeth gripping the trunk as hard as he could.
“Dang it, this isn’t good!” Chris told himself, “They know I’m here… Even with my power will they be able to spot me?”
The bushes and leaves beyond the treeline began to rustle, and three scouts emerged from the shadows. Each one wore cloth clothes like Chris and wielded primitive spears and bows. Chris gulped as the scouts approached him.
“Are you sure? What if he died in the fall?” one of them asked.
“Impossible,” the other scout replied, “We would have found his corpse along with that dead Pteranodon. He is still alive, somewhere in this jungle. He couldn’t have made it far.”
One of the scouts, who had stayed quiet the whole time, glanced over at Chris’ location. Chris’ eyes widened as the quiet scout approached him. She had black hair that was tied up into two buns, and bags under her eyes.
“Hmm,” she muttered under her breath, staring into Chris’ eyes. Chris shut his eyes, holding his breath in. His heart began to beat, his lungs gasping and demanding relief. Even when he was invisible, he couldn't move a single muscle.
“Patricia? What da hell are ya doin’ starin’ at that tree?” the other scout sneered.
“Nothing. I thought I spotted something, Jake,” Patricia the scout replied back quietly. The scout with the deep voice stomped his foot into the dirt.
“Damn it Patricia you aren’t doing us any favors with your senseless staring!” he bellowed.
“S-Sorry, Nate,” Patricia said in a soft whisper. Nate sighed and brushed his long, black hair. He walked up to Patricia, held his hand back, and Patricia flinched.
“I can’t hear you. You need to speak up,” Nate declared with rageful eyes.
“SORRY, Nate,” she responded back with sharpness. Jake slapped her in the face, and she fell on one knee.
“Don’t give him that attitude, you hear me?” Jake replied. Patricia gritted her teeth and grasped her cheek. It began to turn a red, leaving a seering mark. Nate kicked at her with a boot, clenched fists and hateful eyes.
“That’s damn right. You’re lucky we didn’t kill you when we found you washed up on that beach. You should be more grateful, brat,” Nate said, “Now I want you to apologize to us both. And don’t even think about giving me that crass.”
Patricia grumbled, and Jake took offense, lifting his boot up and slamming it into her back, causing her to fall to the ground. She let out a grunt, and Chris’ heart began to hammer. Seething, Chris couldn’t help but feel conflicted. Should he help, or should he stay put and let them pass?
“I warned you, now, APOLOGIZE,” Jake growled. Patricia began to tremble, and slowly but surely, Chris inched his way around them, making his way behind Jake and Nate, before finally he shimmered back into vision.
WARP.
Jake’s ears perked up.
“What was that noise-”
Chris wrapped his fingers around Jake’s throat, putting him in a chokehold. Jake dropped his spear, gagging and gasping for air. He pounded his fists into Chris’ arms, but he wouldn’t budge. He felt bruises growing along his limbs but he didn’t care. Nate quickly turned around.
“Why you-”
Nate moved his spear back and tried stabbing at Chris, but Chris lifted Jake up, and it ended up piercing him in the face. Chris dropped Jake and he collapsed to the ground, blood pouring out onto the sullen grass. Nate glared and clenched his fists. He was furious.
“YOU THINK YOU CAN KILL HIM AND GET AWAY WITH IT?” Nate asked, “You’re WRONG!”
Patricia tried getting up from the ground, but Nate slammed his foot into her again.
“Stay down. You’re just going to get yourself killed,” Nate ordered her. Nate looked back at Chris, but not before a blow was delivered to his jaw. Nate groaned and clutched his chin, and then he rushed in and delivered a knee to the weak spot. Nate let out another howl of pain, falling to both of his knees.
Chris looked at Patricia and nodded his head.
“Run!”
Chris quickly made a bolt out of the woods, not daring to look back in fear that the scout named Nate would be right behind him.
As the trees began to fade away, he was met with the everlasting Sun, a blinding light filled his eyes. He shielded his face with his right hand, but as he felt sand under his feet, he then felt the barrel of a gun to his temple.
Chris’ eyes widened, and he quickly stopped in his tracks. The light began to leave his eyes, and he saw the same man with the grass armor he had spied before crash landing. He was carrying a pistol in his right hand, and a sword in his left. His eyes penetrated Chris’, and Chris raised his hands in the air.
“That’s what I thought,” the man said with a raspy voice. Footsteps approached them, and the man looked past Chris. Two familiar voices rang throughout the air.
“G-General! We found this one, we found this one!” Nate said as he ran up to the man in grass armor. The man took a glance back and forth between Chris and Nate.
“What’s your name?” General calmly asked Chris. Chris gulped, glaring at the General.
“I won’t tell you!”
The General moved his finger to the trigger of his pistol, and Chris raised his arms even further into the air.
“Okay, I’ll tell you!” Chris replied, “It’s Chris…”
“Chris,” the General smirked underneath his mask, “My name is Arthur. But, if you were to address me, you should address me as General Wyvern. My true name.”
“General Wyvern,” Chris said. He gulped again, sweat pouring down his face, “I know what I did was wrong, but I wasn’t thinking straight. Please don’t kill me.”
“I won’t. If you cooperate and answer my questions and comply, I will not kill you.”
General Wyvern began to slowly move around Chris, like a shark circling its prey. His pistol was still pointed at his head.
General Wyvern stared into Chris’ soul for a few moments, before glancing at his two scouts again.
“Turn around for me, Chris.”
Chris turned around slowly, and he saw the two scouts staring at him dead to rights. Nate’s lip was bleeding, and he seemed very dizzy, while Patricia still had that mark on her face. Patricia couldn’t look at Chris, but Nate could. He smiled at the sight of Chris.
“Heh, you got him, General! You got the punk! But, know that, know that I was the one who found him! He only ran away because Patricia felt too sorry to hurt him! It got Jake killed! She deserves to be punished for it!”
Patricia’s eyes widened, and she began to back away.
“What? You- that’s not true!” Patricia protested.
General Wyvern ignored the two, rolling his eyes.
“So what? Jake is just a scout.”
General Wyvern pointed his gun at Noah’s leg and quickly pulled on the trigger. BAM! A bullet hit Noah right in the calf. He let out a scream of pain, collapsing to the ground and clutching it with all his might. He began to cry, and Patricia looked at General Wyvern in horror.
“General Wyvern, please-”
General Wyvern ignored Patricia and moved his pistol back to Chris.
“You’re a fool, I see that bloody spear. This boy fooled you into killing your ally. Lie to me again and I will shoot your arm off,” General Wyvern snarled, “I hate liars like you. I was not fond of you or your friend to begin with. You’re lucky I did not aim for your head.”
Chris gulped, and General Wyvern put a hand on his shoulder.
“Do not mind them. Only answer my questions. They are not of your concern, they are my responsibility,” he ordered him, “Now. Tell me, who do you work for? Or do you come alone?”
Chris gulped, before answering,
“The Book Club. Camp. We’re stationed at the Green Obelisk. I was sent out to scout. For someone. But, I found you instead.”
“Book Club,” General Wyvern said. He dangled his pistol in his right index finger, “Interesting. Now, does this Book Club… have anyone named Ben? And is this man, if he’s around, still alive?”
Chris blinked his eyes, and nodded.
“Yes. Ben is my friend. And he is still alive.”
General Wyvern’s eyes widened, and he smiled.
“Well, Chris, thank you for your cooperation…”
Chris gulped again, as General Wyvern lowered his pistol. He reached for his belt and took out a pair of handcuffs, slapping them right on Chris’ wrists. General Wyvern gently grabbed him by the arm.
“Patricia, you don’t mind helping take Nate back to camp, do you?”
Patricia quickly shook her head.
“No General, not at all.”
“Great, now let’s go. The Crimson Crusader will be very very pleased…”
So, I was in a big pickle when a Alfa raptor was basically right next to my bace, and at the time, I really wanted an otter. And when that raptor was near, an otter was with me. And when in saving me and my pterodactyls lives, trying to tame a otter, with the raptor, the otter is(I think) trying to attack me with the Alfa raptor. And so soon I get to kill the Alfa raptor(GOOD!) and when that happens, the otters are gone, like you got to be kidding me!? **sigh I will get one soon...
One up(or like) = one luck up I’ll find and get an otter, I love them! P.S(when the raptor is alive my pterodactyl dies to the Alfa raptor, R.I.P Midnight😭😭😭)(and sorry I don’t know how to spell Alfa)
I've seen so many sad stories about otters dying or getting lost so here's a happy story! I had just been killed by a pack of allo's, lost all my gear and loot and my base was on the other side of the map. I was starting to head home when I saw a little otter swimming in the river, my little Tamara. She was my otter fren, she went everywhere with me, fishing, hunting, adventures, quests and more. I had lost many of my tames in fights and a few in accidents but Tamara always survived whatever danger threatened, she once even killed a pack of wolves by herself, she was the most loyal companion a survivor could ever ask for. Then one day we flew to the redwoods to raid some beaver dams and I saw another little otter in the river, I immediately went over and tried to tame him, Tamara would finally have a little otter fren. I named him Fírnen and we went back to base, they later had a son of their own named Tyr, he looked just like his mom, they both had light brown fur with a darker stripe on the back, Fírnen was all grey. Tamara finally had a little family of her own, they are all still alive today and Tyr is even going to become a dad soon! Thank you for reading the story of Tamara, a loyal companion, otter fren, mother and soon-to-be grandmother.
Hope you have an amazing day filled with otter cuddles :D
Once apana time I traped an otter. Long story short I tamed it. Ehem, let me make this dramatic. It was a dark stormy day when I was on my pteranodon. We heard a squeak. We came to investigate and right upon our eyes was an otter. It filled my mind up with happiness and joy, even though it was dark and it was raining. I grabbed it with my pteranodon and trapped it, many many days passed, trying to find fish.but it did not starve, like as if it had a fish stash. I finaly got some raw fish and fed it, I event ate a peace on acadent. But then after 1 hour I tamed it. I had to name it: tHe EpIc KiNg Of OtTeRs. He still sits on his throne to this day, looking for a epic queen.
I once had a otter, and she was deep brown, so I named her miso.
She went with me everywhere, into the arctic, caves, and mountains. She even killed a megalodon for me once!
But one day, I left her on wander in my house while going to tame a Royal Griffin, I came back with the Griffin, ready to celebrate with my dinos, but Miso was missing. Desperately, I went into the tames menu to summon her... but she was gone, dead! 😭😭
I made a gravestone for her in my cemetery with the tallest obelisk. (I build obelisks for my favorite dead tames)
I tamed an otter called Eta by picking it up with my Pt and dropping it into my house, I decided to visit the arctic to discover the skylord cave since I was now insulated. We beat Kairukus and killed rexes together for levels, we found explorer notes, we completed pursuits (I was on mobile). But then stupid me decides to run the skylord cave, it was going fine until I got up the the death drop part, I placed a thatch foundation, to allow me to reach the other side easier, but then I made the biggest mistake.
I left Ark to do a backup save in case I couldn’t make the jump, and guess what, since I haven’t played in a while, I completely forgot shoulder pets drop from your shoulder when you leave the game. When I logged back on, Eta fell to her death before I could to anything. I tried loading back into the save again, but Eta was dismounted from my shoulder before I could even load in completely, all I could do is see her body on the instakill ice spikes, rest in peace Eta ;(
I'm a mobile player and when I recently started on my first and current map, this little otter was the first thing that appeared on the beach, right in front of me, I tamed it and we spent 51 real days in a row together, today the 5th. /19/24 I was there, Dolores the otter and my faithful colleague Johnny the Barionyx and we were capturing a tapejara when a saber-tooth came and started hitting him, I went to get his attention so he wouldn't end up killing my tapejara and unfortunately he bit and hitkilled my little otter that was with me all this time....RIP Dolores the Otter, you will never be forgotten, I promise.
On a world, me and my friend have we both teamed otters I named mine, Ms. otty and he named his Mr. Otty after a while, we bred them, and we got three baby otters, and out of the three only one of them survived more than 15 seconds, and The one that didn’t die right away was sitting right in front of Ms.Otty and it just died of starvation, but right as it died Ms. Otty ate food from her inventory and so for the longest time me and my friend thought that my otter ate the baby

Lunar Tales
Episode 1
My head swam with confusion, I opened my eyes, the blue sky filled me vision. I slowly sat up and looked around, where was I? Rolling waves crashed into my feet, the water was cold, there was a bird circling over the water in the distance, trees swayed in the wind, I stood and regained my balance. The world looked different, my hearts skipped a beat when the reds next to the water shuddered something was moving them and then I see a light tan tail poke out of it, and the rest of the body slowly comes into view, a little creature with an adorable face turns to see me with a fish in her mouth, an otter, she threw her head back and swallowed the rest of the fish and waddled towards me, I tripped on a stick and fell right on my butt when this little otter came over and curled in my lap, she liked me. Oh by the way, hi, I'm Crescent, and this is the story of how I became the queen of the dinosaurs.
Look for Episode 2, coming soon.
So I tamed an Otter and the unexpected happened. I got stuck somewhere and a raptor came running at me. Me being the stupid human I am, I didn’t get out weapons, instead I used my fists. Remember, I was stuck so I couldn’t move. I had my otter on my shoulder and as soon as I hit the raptor once with my fists, my otter started attacking it from my shoulder and killed it without much help from me. Thank you, Otter! Also after that I figured out how to get unstuck and I still have my otter!
Gather around it's story time!
Once during the Halloween event I had my trusty ottey and craptor with me trying to find some theris and instead I came across a dodorex. so I got out my best ascendent pump action and when the dodorex was almost dead it killed my craptor then a snake comes and puts me out and while I'm out my ottey (lv 238) kills the snake AND finished the dodorex of. I now have a taxidermy of him in extinction labeled 'Ottey, the most faithful and valiant otter.'
