Chapter eight

Sarah shot at the reaper, causing it to drop John. It screamed and stomped at him just as it got up. There was a thunderous roar, and the reaper turned around and walked away through the dark tunnels.

“John are you ok?” Sarah asked, no response. She jumped down and walked up to him, he wasn’t moving. She shook him, but he wouldn’t open his eyes. She turned him over, beginning to cry now, she slapped his face, and his eyes burst open.

“Oh fu-” John was cut off by Sarah covering his mouth.

“I can’t believe you’re alive!” She exclaimed.

“Yeah me neither, that was a big foot” Sam chuckled while Sarah helped him to his feet.

“We need to get to the overseer, he’s the source of that roar” then they heard it again, the roar, the roar of the overseer...
