The Hungry Dark- Chapter 4

Yulock awoke to a low, deep growl, the kind you feel in your gut and the kind that leads to your tames getting killed.

Aberrant Carnotaurus were nearby. Two of them, circling around an Alpha Karkinos. Also bad.

Aberrant Raptor attacks were common here, but Yulock hadn’t been attacked- yet.

“Aberrant Arthropleuras.” He whispered. “Perfect.” He had some spoiled meat in his bag. He just had to watch for seekers.

An army of death spitting centipedes was perfect. Their armor and their poison would be perfect against that incredible deinonychus.

He also tamed a Ravager, thoughts of becoming a Grand General one day spiraling through his head as he prepared an army.

“We know you survived, whoever you are.” Sean pointed at the bush.

The bush spit poison, cutting through Sean’s desert cloth armor. Aberrant Arthropleuras swarmed from all the hidden places around Sean and his tames. Timber and Noghtshade went straight to it, ripping through the malicious centipedes, but it was not enough.

Then, when Sean and his tames were at the brink of death, a shadowy figure on a Wyvern picked Sean and his tames up and flew away.
